  • This is my personal experience with getting odors and musty smells out of my purses, specifically I talk about my Prada vintage backpack in this video. I did do research on the purse forums, online, and asking around, so this was my personal experience with successfully getting the smells out of my bags. Always do what you feel comfortable with and do your own research prior to trying anything on your beautiful bag :). If you have any questions or comments, leave them down below! Thank you!

    Super useful video. What a classic backpack!!The biggest dealbreaker for me is odors when it comes to preloved bags. I had a bad experience with a preloved LV in excellent condition and the smell was not disclosed. I ended up returning it. My friend used coffee grounds to get the odor out of her vintage bag. I hope you are having a good week. Your kids must be so excited about Christmas coming up. 💜❤️

      @@TabbyViolet I will be spending time with my sister and my niece and I have a zoom call scheduled with some friends I haven’t seen in a year. I have been super busy at work this month so I am looking forward to watching some Netflix finally. I recommend the movie A Fall From Grace on Netflix and Emily in Paris. Both are good! I bet your kids are counting down the hours til their winter break!

    Great information. I used teabags on an LV backpack. Helped a lot but it took some time. I had to remove the old and use fresh teabags many times. 😉

      Hi Krista!!!!! As much as I love tea, why didn’t I think of that?!!! Great idea!!!!! I’m going to try that next too if I ever need it. So far, I have got recommendations for baking soda, coffee grinds, and now tea bags! Thanks girl!!! Happy holidays too ❤️❤️❤️

      @@kristak1102 the baking soda makes sense! The coffee grinds... I think will cover the smell, but not sure about fixing it. I’m still going to give it a shot one day! 😅☺️🤷🏻‍♀️🥰

      @@kristak1102 Should I just put fresh teabags inside the bag and regularly change them?

      @@myhubbyislouisvuitton4218 That’s what I did. They absorbed the odor. Also, after each round I aired out the bag keeping it open. The baking soda sounds like a great idea too.

      Tabby Violet I got the mama baguette and had to get rid of a slight smell. I used baking soda and thankfully it worked.

    I tried a million things and scrubbed my LV trousse in the sink lol. Ultimately I think what fixed it was filling it with baking soda and letting it sit in the sun for a couple days

    • @TabbyViolet

      Ohhh yes!!! I think the sun is key in killing the odor! I’ll try the baking soda next time! :) Thank you ❤️❤️

      Have you tried baking soda?? I kept it under a table fan for hours. Now its clean. Please reply did baking soda works or not. Some one says it may damage the wallet, gets wet

    Odors are the worst. But I also had good luck airing things out and sunbathing. Guess it would have to be a bag that doesn’t have vachetta though. TFS! 😘😘😘

    • @TabbyViolet
      @TabbyViolet  3 роки тому

      Yessss I agree! I think it’s so key to air out and sun bathe, but that is really tricky with the vachetta. I’m not quite sure what to do on that part. Maybe somehow cover them up or possibly leather cleaner would help 🤷🏻‍♀️ not sure! I just put the charcoal odor remover in my Keepall 45 and it helped get most of the closet smell out!
