“In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.” Colossians 2:11-12 NIV
For 40 years I have been looking for a teachings like this..... Cause I knew deep in my heart that something was wrong with the church teaching. I have been baptized in Christ and not in water. Traditions and rituals don't save. Only Jesus Christ Saves !!
@@MrDamoc747 It doesn't. Baptism is a beautiful ceremony that every believer should take part in when they come into fellowship with the Lord. It's your outward act symbolizing your dying to the world and raising with Christ. However, some religions (namely in the Christian faith) teach that you must be baptized to have salvation. This is not true. Our salvation is not dependent on our acts and deeds (which for some have become religious traditions). Our salvation is a gift given to us solely by God through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ. If we believe baptism is a requirement, then we in essence are saying that the cross was not enough.
That was John the Baptist talking. That prediction was fulfilled in Acts 2: 1-4 on the Day of Pentecost, when those in the upper room received this gift from God. Baptism with the H.S. is not for all people and it is not part of the salvation process. One cannot choose to be baptized with the H.S. Only God decided who will be baptized with the H.S. This event in Acts 2 ushered in the church, when 3000 Jews heard the gospel from Peter and were baptized in water. Then they were added to the number of disciples to form the church. Notice the 3000 Jews did not have the baptism with the H.S., since they did not speak in tongues, nor did they have other miraculous gifts after being water baptized (Acts 2:38). One can choose to be baptized in water for salvation as promised in Acts 2:38 and in other scriptures written in Acts and in a number of the Epistles. The only other recorded case of baptism of the H.S. was given to the household of Cornelius (Acts 10), to show Peter that gentiles can be ushered into the church. So Cornelius and his household were the first gentiles to be baptized in water and the first gentiles to enter into the church when Peter instructed them to be baptized. Pay attention to the words of Jesus.... not John the Baptist, since he had no authority. Ten days before Day of Pentecost, Jesus instructed the 11 remaining disciples that he had all authority and therefore to go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the H.S. (Matthew 28: 18-20). Jesus spoke of the need for one to be baptized in Mark 16: 16. Then he ascended into heaven.
@@DeeMoney-rj4rj No, it wasn't fulfilled in Acts 10: 43-48. Read Acts 1: 4-8, where Jesus promised the apostles they will be baptized with the H.S., when it comes upon them with power. Then Jesus was taken up to heaven in verse 9. Note: the H.S. "came upon them" during a baptism of the H.S. event, enabling them to speak in tongues and prophesy as recorded in Acts 2: 1-4 (that's when John the Baptist prediction was fulfilled) and as you cited in Acts 10: 43-48 and in chapter 11: 15-16. This H.S. baptism that "came upon them" is not the indwelling Holy Spirit. The baptism of the H.S. in Acts chapter 2 (read the whole chapter) allowed the 3000 Jews to be water baptized as instructed by Peter when they were cut to the heart, enabling them to have their sins forgiven in water baptism, receive the indwelling H.S. and to enter the newly created Lord's church (verses 36-41). These 3000 Jews did not get the H.S. baptism, but they got the indwelling H.S. in water baptism. The H.S. baptism that "came upon" the gentiles in Acts 10: 43-48 told Peter that gentiles can be made clean for the first time. This gave the gentiles the opportunity to enter the Lord's church upon water baptism. So in verse 48, Peter told them to be baptized, so their sins can be forgiven, to receive the indwelling H.S. and then enter into the Lord's church. There are only two recorded cases of H.S. baptism in all of the bible, where the H.S. "came upon" the apostles in Acts 2 and "came upon" the household of Cornelius in Acts 10. God did not have anyone else get the H.S. baptism. One cannot choose to get the H.S. baptism, but one can choose to be buried with Christ in water baptism (Romans 6: 1-7).
@@DeeMoney-rj4rj I did. You read it again!!! Verse 15 "... the H.S. 'came on them' as he has 'come on us at the beginning'..." (referring to Peter and other apostles in Acts 2: 1-4 ). This is NOT the indwelling Holy Spirit. You citing Acts 10 and Acts 11 does not prove your point. No body else in the bible got the H.S. baptism. God decided Peter, the other apostles and the household of Cornelius to get the baptism of the H.S. You cannot ask God for you to be H.S. baptized. They didn't. The indwelling H.S. is given to you in water baptism. Read Acts 1:4-8. Who was Jesus talking to? He was talking to Peter and the apostles. He gave them this promise... promise is not for anyone else.
Amen! I was never baptized in water but I know I am baptized in the Holy Spirit because I am a new creature in Christ and I hate sin. I repented and gave my life to Christ 6 years ago. I heard his voice that same day correcting me when I went to sin. His voice was loud and clear like it was audible but was in my spirit. I have said to God if he wants me to get baptized in water and am still waiting on his answer. God is so good and he knows what is best for us! God bless you!
3:18 - 💯 - for sure yes. Agree (again) 💯 30:14 - yes, I was raised in one of those denomination-types that are "just a few miles" from there - and I have had SUCH trouble (in my thinking) being "baptised" into Christ BECAUSE i was baptised in water. !! And the sad part is... I've only just now SEEN that - I have been "systematically" and habitually relying on my Baptism-experience... RATHER than on the Spiritual rebirth and life of Christ in Me!! (And me in Him!!). ❗
Pastor, thank you for taking up this series of "Twisted Scripture" truly this is arming us for effective spiritual warfare and teaching us to rightly divide the Word of Truth, I thank you a million times! I love how our Loving Abba has hidden us in Christ LORD Jesus, and has clothed us in Christ-Amen and that our baptisms in water are glorious celebrations of Christ's Finished work-Hallelujah! I so appreciate your analogies and your scriptural pathway in this video and I am going to run all the cross references and get down to the original key words as well as repeatedly view this video until I have received all the Manna from it that I possibly can as Holy Spirit leads. I am so blessed to have been led to this series. The way Holy Spirit led you to say about a scripture in Acts chapter 2 that if that scripture were the only one that we had, but pointing out the meaning of Christ's finished Work as well as elevating the importance of Christ's resurrection (for He lives forevermore!) and understanding the whole Scripture of the Gospel message and its original languages, brings us to the correct application of Scripture to our understanding and to our lives:) I am also so excited to learn what Holy Spirit is going to be revealing in Part 2 (when shall we be able to plan to see the next one?). I also am so blessed to having received that we are dyed purple and are of Christ's royal blood line, made a royal priesthood (sadly, I receive this truth in my spirit by faith, but my mind hasn't grasped this truth yet - oh I am going to add your shared analogies to my meditations of Scripture to see more of Jesus, coming to know Him more and more intimately, now and throughout eternity! Praying for you, Pastor to continue to be led by Holy Spirit to boldly speak the Living Word of God in truth and in the power of Holy Spirit, while untwisting the fallocies rampant within Christianity, thereby preparing us to fight the good fight of faith, using the breastplate of Truth and the full Armor of God, holding fast our salvation, according to the awesome love and grace of God that we have heard and through which we place our trust upon our Lord and our God, Who is Alive, Faithful and Who is the Same, yesterday, today and forever and Who is going to bring us to Himself one day thereafter we shall be forever with our Creator; Bright and Morning Star; Redeemer; Saviour; Bread of Life; Resurrection and the Life; Deliverer; LORD; Friend; our Husband; Eternal Father - our Everything and the Fairest of Ten Thousand to our souls!
I have struggled with this for years now. The church i grew up in always conducted infant baptism. I believe them to be true Christians in their dedication. I have seen a friend of mine baptised after becoming a believer playing pool for money and drinking but not heavy to him and also witnessing to everyone in the pub regardless. I have mentioned to the vicar in a new church about me being baptised as an infant and I was not a believer and do not remember or have any proof but their response was one baptism only. So here I am now being a believer for 40 years being closer now than ever in a confused state. Our God is not a deceiver I cannot see him allowing a true believer to be told your not saved on that day. The only way I think I was baptised as a child was my mother who died a believer would mention my Godmother before she caught alzheimers.
Thanking our Father and savior for your ministry! There is so much freedom in the loving arms of our savior, friend, and lover of of our soul. Right believing has transformed my life and I am so thankful to finally understand and experience what Jesus said, “I came to give life and more abundant!”.
“to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also-not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand-with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.” 1 Peter 3:20-22 NIV
I grew up in a Church that no matter what if you were not Baptized you went to hell. I asked the question what about the people that ask God to come in their heart, and that they believe in Jesus Christ as their savior, and Lord, shortly before they die so you’re telling me because they weren’t baptized they’re going to hell??
“Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.” Romans 6:3-5 NIV
“Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2:38 “And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.’” Acts 22:16 NIV
He's basing a whole lot on Acts 2:38 - "for" "eis" as "because of" or "in light of." Where is the textual support for that? That word is used over a 1,000 times in the New Testament. Find a case where it means "in light of." Would you argue that in Romans 10:10 - "with the heart one believes and with the mouth one confesses RESULTING IN (same word) salvation." Or what about Matthew 26:28 - "blood of the new covenant, she for many FOR the forgiveness of sins." Or maybe Romas 6:3-4 - "Don't you know that all of us who have been baptized INTO (same word) Christ Jesus have been baptized INTO (same word) His death" -- In all of those, and so so many others, it is clearly not "because of" and obviously "unto" or "into." Also, in Acts 2:38 - is this his argument about repentance as well, that is comes after salvation? The text says, "Repent and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ FOR the forgiveness of sins." Have you ever heard a preacher say that "Repent "in light of" already forgiven sins." That's just silly, and wrong. He's right about this: the blood of Jesus saves. But he's wrong for saying that such is accessed without water baptism. He's wrong for saying that Paul didn't come to baptize as evidence that it wasn't important. Just ask the Ethiopian Eunuch about that. After Jesus was preached to him, he saw water, stopped the chariot and was baptized. Preaching Jesus means preaching immediate baptism, and Acts 2:38.
I agree. The Greek word "eis" in the New Testament can be defined as one of these possibilities: "into", "unto", "to", "towards", "for" and "among" as any dictionary of Greek words will tell you. Not once is the word "because" or the phrase "in light of" is included as one of the possible definitions of "eis". The best English translation of the word "eis" as seen in Acts 2: 38 is the word "for". www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?t=kjv&strongs=g1519
@@Red_Pill_Matrix Check any Greek dictionary of New Testament words. For "eis" it can be defined as one of these possibilities: "into", "unto", "to", "towards", "for" and "among". Not once is the word "because" or the phrase "in light of" is included as one of the possible definitions of "eis". Many scholars of the Koine Greek language will say that "eis" used in Acts 2: 38 means "for".
Speaking of Paul, his conversion story was told in Acts 9 and in Acts 22. In both chapters, the bible says he was baptized. Acts: 22 said he was told to be baptized, calling on the name of the Lord and to have his sins washed away. This is Lordship baptism.
@@Red_Pill_Matrix We need to keep in mind the message of the cross did not change for the Gentiles. When Peter preached in Acts 2 he said in verse 39 "This promise is for you and your children and for all who far off - for all whom the Lord our God will call." So this message is also the same for the Gentiles... which eventually happened. Paul wrote in Romans 1: 16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile." The gospel is for all. Acts 28: 28 does NOT show a major shift of the message for the Gentiles. Jews today are still able to come to Christ. What Acts 28: 28 shows that this is another passage showing Gentiles are able to obtain God's salvation. Yes, Paul did focus on reaching out to the Gentiles, but his message of the cross and salvation did not change for them. This is consistent with Peter meeting with the household of Cornelius, who were the first Gentile converts an they were baptized. Jesus said in Matthew 24: 14; "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations...", so the gospel message is the same for all (both Jews and Gentiles). Paul wrote in Col. 1: 23, "if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant." Notice he did not make a distinction of one message to the Jews and another message to the Gentiles. Gal. 3: 28 says, "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Again the Jewish disciples and the Gentile disciples are equal. You misunderstood what Paul wrote to the church in Corinth. He was surprised there was a cult following of different leaders. He wanted all of them to say they each follow Christ; not different church leaders. He said in 1 Cor. 1: 17, "he came to preach the gospel not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power." So he will preach the gospel and then some will answer the call and be baptized. Not all will accept the gospel; we see that today. Paul did baptize people such as Crispus, Gaius and the household of Stephanas. He also baptized people in other locations; such as: the Philipian jailer in Acts 16: 33 and he baptized the group of 12 men in Ephesus in Acts 19: 1-7. Read Romans 5: 20 - 21 and then chapter 6: 1 - 10. Paul wrote we should not sin any more so that grace may increase, because in baptism we died to sin, got buried in the water and then were raised to a new life in Christ. You cannot be saved before you get baptized. According to Jesus, you become a disciple of his when you are baptized in Matthew 28: 18-20. Paul also wrote about baptism in other epistles: Col 2. 11 - 13 and Galatians 3: 26-27. 2 Timothy 3: 16-17, "All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God be thoroughly equipped for every good work." One cannot cherry pick the scriptures. Must put all of the salvation scriptures together to understand and follow the message of the cross of Christ, (hear, believe, confess Jesus is Lord, repent, be baptized and then live the Christian life to receive the grace of God).
Acts 2 38 Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost
in the Psalms....119 I think " His mercy endures forever"" is repeated 150 times, why? We are hard headed and God knew this before time became. So maybe you learn more quickly than others, why poison the water? Pride maybe?
Baptism means in the Greek baptizo meaning immerse, for we have being immersed in Jesus when we believe, called upon his name which is through faith saying yes I believe, and only believer partaker of His Holy communion. That's my view
“Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.” John 3:5-6 NIV ΝΒ “and” is the mark of connection, “but” is the mark of contrast
I agree with all Andrew taught on the baptism, but i do not agree with making the old testament & new testament into the same message. If there is one message as he says, Then why did Jesus call paul to preach to mainly gentiles, though so individual Jews were saved as well. Peter, James & John were to carry on their message which was a kingdom message to the Circumcision ( Jews) & paul's message to the gentiles ( uncircumcision) No, lets be contextually correct in our teaching. I enjoy Andrew Farly ad a man of God, but, lets All remember, we have to be contextually correct when teaching Gods word, and i think Andrew is totally correct here. God bless !! 🙏🙏🙏
This is from the early Christian Dictionary. The first century Christians did not even dispute this. You went into the water with sins and came out of the water without sins. The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 3:21 Further, what says He? "And there was a river flowing on the right, and from it arose beautiful trees; and whosoever shall eat of them shall live for ever." This means, that we indeed descend into the water full of sins and defilement, but come up, bearing fruit in our heart, having the fear [of God] and trust in Jesus in our spirit. Barnabas (A.D. 70-130) ch.11 .... I would rather restore the first century faith so that Jesus recognizes what he left behind than reform the faith based on my own understanding.
Many understandings of man. Many interpretations of Gods Word, but no matter what you do with it and the water baptism you can not delete Gods Word even concerning this topic. Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. KJV If it had not been important then it wouldnt have been included within the Bible. Apostle Paul stated its better not to marry remain single and the Quakers made a WHOLE DENOMINATION out of the one scripture verse. You can pick and choose fruit picking, but you can not take away from the whole of Gods Word. When you are water baptized we are laying down the old man in symbolism laying away the old sinful fleshly man. It is a public display of "obedience" towards God almighty. Would God almighty receive a man that was on the polar ice cap that accepts Christ Blood atonement but couldnt be water baptized? Yes but the entire new testament is in one accord not in opposition to Acts 2:38. Otherwise you would be reading an imcomplete word not Gods infallible Holy Word. Ps.119:89 For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven. It surprising how many folks will fruit the scriptures they abide and the throw a non-compliant verse that offends them. Obsession is a two way street as long as we allow others to travel there to.

Every time I see / hear one of these videos from Mr.Farley , I know I can expect to hear a lie , false preaching. "JESUS " says in Mark 16:16 , He who BELIEVES (AND) IS (BAPTIZED) SHALL BE SAVED ,(BUT) HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT SHALL BE (DAMNED) Of course if you don't believe in the WORD of GOD you won't submit to the BAPTISM IN JESUS NAME (Acts 2:38-42) as in many places people have been BAPTIZED, even in Acts 16:31 where almost all preachers like to leave out v:32&v:33., (AND) is a continuous description of what has or will happen. Also in 1st. Peter 3:21 we are told BAPTISM does save us. (It's about (FAITH AND OBEDIENCE) TO JESUS OUR LORD,GOD,AND SAVIOR) Read John 17:9 , 17:17 , 17:20 and Mathew 16:13-19 (19). Whom do you prefer to follow , The WORD of GOD/JESUS, or the word of farley. I know I would never contradict the WORD of GOD.
Do you acknowledge there is a right dividing of the word...Jesus was teaching Jews under the law...gentile teachings start in ROMANS...mark is out of context for our current age...rightly divide the new and old covenants...or BE QUIET....you don't understand that all of the Bible is for you , but it's not all about you. Otherwise....pluck your eye dude....pluck it out!
that's because when you read that scripture you are applying wrong context. the scipiture is talking about being baptised in the by sprit, not water.. we are saved by grace through faith, not water. Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. We don't receive faith by dunking your head in water. there is no outer work you can perform to obtains salvation, don't get it twisted. men are filled with the holy ghost through the preaching of the word of God, by hearing not by and law. we are not saved by works.

lets see what the scripture has to say Romans 4 New International Version (NIV) Abraham Justified by Faith 4 What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, discovered in this matter? 2 If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about-but not before God. 3 What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”[a] 4 Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. 5 However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. 6 David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: 7 “Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.”[b] 9 Is this blessedness only for the circumcised, or also for the uncircumcised? We have been saying that Abraham’s faith was credited to him as righteousness. 10 Under what circumstances was it credited? Was it after he was circumcised, or before? It was not after, but before! 11 And he received circumcision as a sign, a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. So then, he is the father of all who believe but have not been circumcised, in order that righteousness might be credited to them. 12 And he is then also the father of the circumcised who not only are circumcised but who also follow in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham had before he was circumcised. 13 It was not through the law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith. 14 For if those who depend on the law are heirs, faith means nothing and the promise is worthless, 15 because the law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression. 16 Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring-not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. 17 As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.”[c] He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed-the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not. 18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”[d] 19 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead-since he was about a hundred years old-and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. 20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. 22 This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.” 23 The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, 24 but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness-for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.
The gospel that saves TODAY was updated when Paul received further revelation from the arisen Christ. It is different from Jesus earthly ministry. Paul always differentiated between "HIS GOSPEL " and the one given directly to the original Jerusalem twelve (Peter, James, John etc.). The rapture of the body of Christ is ONLY found in "The Gospel of the grace of God committed onto Paul, not the twelve!
Peter 1:20-21 knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. It isn't ever a good idea to deviate from what the scriptures say.
Water baptism happens because someone has been saved. Water baptism doesn't save. The recent coronation happened because Charles is now the King. The coronation didn't make Charles the King. Charles became the King when his mother - Queen Elizabeth the Second - died. A coronation for William or George would be nonsense as neither of them are King.

Sorry, I disagree. The bible does not say baptism is a symbol. Everyone in Acts that is saved - Jew, Gentile and Samaritan - are immediately water baptised, in the name of Jesus Christ once they believe. Acts 2:38 says why. It is trinitarian doctrine that requires you to explain away water baptism because at some point you arrive at the Matthew 28:19 / Acts 2:38 issue that you can't reconcile. A lot of people in Acts got baptised urgently, for no reason it seems, according to this video.
Why are you purposely deceiving? Mark 16:15-16 Before He ascended, Jesus told the disciples, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; and he who does not believe will be condemned. John 3:5 While Jesus told Nicodemus, “Amen, Amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit”. Acts 2:38 ,“Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
“In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.”

Excellent teaching. Thank you Pastor Andrew👍
For 40 years I have been looking for a teachings like this..... Cause I knew deep in my heart that something was wrong with the church teaching. I have been baptized in Christ and not in water. Traditions and rituals don't save. Only Jesus Christ Saves !!
Amen brother. I say leave the traditions and rituals to religions.
Taya can
Whatever you do in word or deed , do it in the name of Jesus.
Where does the bible say baptism is a tradition or a ritual?

Baptism is a commandment ,
Acts 2:38-41
Mark 16:16
Mathew 28:18-20
I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit." (Mark 1:8)
Then he ascended into heaven.
alan scott wrong it was fulfilled in Act 10:43-48 as mentioned in Acts 11:15-16
God did not have anyone else get the H.S. baptism. One cannot choose to get the H.S. baptism, but one can choose to be buried with Christ in water baptism (Romans 6: 1-7).
alan scott read Acts 11:15-16

He does. It’s a commandment. Not to be saved but still.
U have received the Spirit. That's it compare Act 2 and Cornelius household
SPIRITUAL BAPTISM. Baptized INTO Christ. To be FOUND IN HIM. I in HIM AND HE in me.
3:18 - 💯 - for sure yes. Agree (again) 💯
30:14 - yes, I was raised in one of those denomination-types that are "just a few miles" from there - and I have had SUCH trouble (in my thinking) being "baptised" into Christ BECAUSE i was baptised in water.

The way Holy Spirit led you to say about a scripture in Acts chapter 2 that if that scripture were the only one that we had, but pointing out the meaning of Christ's finished Work as well as elevating the importance of Christ's resurrection (for He lives forevermore!) and understanding the whole Scripture of the Gospel message and its original languages, brings us to the correct application of Scripture to our understanding and to our lives:)
I am also so excited to learn what Holy Spirit is going to be revealing in Part 2 (when shall we be able to plan to see the next one?).
Thank you for helping me understand about baptism
Thank you, Andrew for the clear message. I never tire of hearing the Good News preached! Keep on keepin' on, sir!

“to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also-not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand-with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.”

Lie #0 says you have to be Baptized to receive Initiating Grace so you can do works (Sacraments) in hope of someday being saved.
He's basing a whole lot on Acts 2:38 - "for" "eis" as "because of" or "in light of." Where is the textual support for that? That word is used over a 1,000 times in the New Testament. Find a case where it means "in light of." Would you argue that in Romans 10:10 - "with the heart one believes and with the mouth one confesses RESULTING IN (same word) salvation." Or what about Matthew 26:28 - "blood of the new covenant, she for many FOR the forgiveness of sins." Or maybe Romas 6:3-4 - "Don't you know that all of us who have been baptized INTO (same word) Christ Jesus have been baptized INTO (same word) His death" -- In all of those, and so so many others, it is clearly not "because of" and obviously "unto" or "into."
Also, in Acts 2:38 - is this his argument about repentance as well, that is comes after salvation?
I loved that ❤

I agree with all Andrew taught on the baptism, but i do not agree with making the old testament & new testament into the same message.
If there is one message as he says,
Then why did Jesus call paul to preach to mainly gentiles, though so individual Jews were saved as well.
Peter, James & John were to carry on their message which was a kingdom message to the Circumcision ( Jews) & paul's message to the gentiles ( uncircumcision)
No, lets be contextually correct in our teaching.
I enjoy Andrew Farly ad a man of God, but, lets All remember, we have to be contextually correct when teaching Gods word, and i think Andrew is totally correct here.

Don't think, bad texting sorry.
1 Peter 3:21
Further, what says He? "And there was a river flowing on the right, and from it arose beautiful trees; and whosoever shall eat of them shall live for ever." This means, that we indeed descend into the water full of sins and defilement, but come up, bearing fruit in our heart, having the fear [of God] and trust in Jesus in our spirit. Barnabas (A.D. 70-130) ch.11

KJV
If it had not been important then it wouldnt have been included within the Bible.

FAITH AND WORKS. !
Did Peter baptize all the people in the upper room , in the spirit. (No)
Was JESUS telling Nicodemus to be baptised in the spirit only (No)
Were the 3000 after the day of Pentecost BAPTIZED only in the spirit. (No)
Was the eunuch BAPTIZED only in the spirit .(No)
Was the jailer only baptised in the spirit. (No) read on on all the examples.
Peter and Paul in different references COMMAND to be BAPTIZED in JESUS Name,.
It's about FAITH AND WORKS.,
if it's not then the bible is useless.
Why does JESUS, Peter and Paul
COMMAND water baptism.
Can peter and paul administer the HOLY GHOST (No)
If salvation is only by faith,(Faith without works IS DEAD) also
(Works WITHOUT faith is dead)
If SALVATION is by
faith only , then why do you attend church. Why do you pay tithes and offerings.
Why do you try to help someone in need.
If you do and it's only by faith
(YOU MUST BE A FOOL)
If it's by faith only , and not obedience, then the murder can enter heaven , so can the thief, so can the adulterer, the prostitute, the whore monger, the homosexual , the lesbian , ect.
Should I go on.
As scripture says:"EAT THE WHOLE ROLE".
No just what you want that makes you feel good.
If it's by faith only ,why did JESUS say more will be going to hell , than heaven.
SALVATION IS CONDITIONAL. !
Not trying to knock you down, just give you a little insight.
REMEMBER, the WORD of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a dicerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And that applies to me also
If it's by faith only , then we can do away with every book after Mathew, Mark, Luke and John.
@@almierz4604 was abraham justified by faith or works?
lets see what the scripture has to say
Romans 4 New International Version (NIV)
Abraham Justified by Faith
4 What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, discovered in this matter? 2 If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about-but not before God. 3 What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”[a]
4 Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. 5 However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. 6 David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the one to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
7
“Blessed are those
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.
8
Blessed is the one
whose sin the Lord will never count against them.”[b]
9 Is this blessedness only for the circumcised, or also for the uncircumcised?
John 3:5 is clear... you have to be saved to enter the kingdom of God

You're correct. It never says baptism is an Outward sign of an inward change like so many hold.
I've learned a lot from him but his sermons are repetitive...
I could listen to the pure gospel all day every day.
What do you wanna learn about? That he isn't teaching?
It SHOULD always come back to the Gospel
The good news needs to be preached every Sunday at every church for 10 years then we can move onto the behaviour passages lol
Why are you purposely deceiving?
Mark 16:15-16
Before He ascended, Jesus told the disciples, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; and he who does not believe will be condemned.
John 3:5
While Jesus told Nicodemus, “Amen, Amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and Spirit”.
Acts 2:38
,“Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
You clearly didn't bother to listen to him. But you expect us to take your word for it?
