I had a friend take all my pokemon from Pokemon Colosseum right in front of me when we would play the game together on my file. Still upset to this day lol.
Wow! That Salamander Deluxe Pack was a steal @ 2,000 yen 0_0. I just got that game a few days ago to play Salamander II and it's awesome :) That was a fun hunt; thanks, Jim!
massive yikes on that 'friend' I'm sure we all knew a guy. definitely recommend giving MGS another try though, I go between it and SOTN as my favorite PS game ever! Galaxian 3 I got to play at the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz it's quite an experience. as for the pickups I'm definitely in the market for the 'deluxe pack' stuff love me some konami shmups so between gradius, salamander and parodius (hell maybe even twinbee) I'm definitely looking forward to being in shmup heaven!
Love your videos Jim! Can't wait to go myself and be able to pick up so much cool stuff from places like hard off and super potato. Watching your videos just gets me so hype for when I get to go.
Ok now I need to get me some Coco Ichiban. We have a few of them here in my state thankfully. I also need to find that game now haha. Good vid as always Jim.
When it comes to 70's horror there's not much that I like other than Dawn of the Dead, Zombie, and the Blind Dead movies, I dunno if you've ever seen those though.
I'd also throw in stuff like Suspiria, Black Christmas, Halloween, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre to name a few. Now that I think about it, the 70's saw a wealth of great horror films.
The MSX 2 machine even though it looked in decent condition, was tested and came with accessories was a bit expensive, especially for that model. You can get MSX 2+ machines for that price. Salamander Deluxe Pack on the Saturn is awesome - hard games though you need to be in the zone. PC Denjin is a relaxed good fun shoot em up. PC Engine is a shooters paradise! Don't actually have Jacki Chan for the PC Engine.
Pop quiz hotshot: Which was better Tiny Toons on the NES or SNES? Unlike the Lion King debate I don't know of any devs who came out and gave us an answer about which of those 2 great games was better. I screwed up: I visited Japan and didn't try Cocos. I went to Go-Go though, for some great Gorilla Curry
4:05, “… so even if this Hard-off isn’t particular impressive it’s cool, because I get to come” 7:50, that’s crazy, I just spent that much on a damn Magic the Gathering card even though I promised myself I’d stop. Damn you Silverback Elder why you so sexy?! (Also kinda cool you said 7 50 right at that 7:50 mark)
Capcom would add the name Ex to PlayStation versions of their fighters since they were somehow gimped or significantly enough different from the arcade versions and Saturn ports.
wow what a bargain on that Salamander DX pack..i had to pay much more for my copy..😢 i own the nes version of jackie chan and somebody deem it as the better one
And you don't need to no Japanese to Play super Mario cart you can still find original brand new super Famicoms for 300 bucks amazing next time ⌚ could you please point out elevator action returns for sega saturn I want to see how much it goes for there at hardoff
This Hard Off seems to have a great selection of awesome games at a really great price! I noticed a few Game & Watch and a few what seems like Playstation Vitas. Curious on the price of them at the Hard Offs? Was your PC Dengen and Jackie Chan for PC Engine? Both looks like fun to play!
I am still on a hunt for a Saturn and PC Engine. I tried to get a couple through Buyee, but lost a few auctions and the youtube referral coupon expired. :( That and the new user coupon expires WAY too quick. Seeing you go through the Playstation games just makes me wonder what were they thinking with those spines. SO bland.
Hello Jimmy good to see you again dude very nice how have you been doing lately I gotta say you made a good discovery on gaming in all of this honorable video gaming greatness history cheers to you for making every gamer out there extremely proud and dedicated bless you brother this love and kindness is for you I'm very proud and honored of you bravo GG's thank you so much 👍😎😁🙏😇🥹😭👏👏👏👏🇺🇸🇯🇵🎮✨💙💖
Typically there won't be any English speaking staff, but there's not a lot of speaking involved, and as long as you have at least a basic understanding of Japanese you should be fine.
I wasn't gonna comment but omg I hated those type of gamers I was getting hot just hearing that. And it was during a MGS run I would've fought him I'm sorry 😂😂😂😂
I can look at the game boxes of the 80s and 90s era of video games from Japan all day. Such works of art 😊😊😊
Same here
Love these game hunting videos, but I enjoy the walking through the neighborhoods too.
I'll try to include more of a mix of the two in the future
I just stumbled across your channel at random. Can't say how much I appreciated the RLM reference. Subscriber for life now 😂
This guy is simply bad ass 🎉
Ride side of my brain: We need a blue Hello Kitty Dreamcast
Left side of brain: We have Dreamcast at home.
"Unexpected Hard Off" had me giggling for an entirely unacceptable amount of time
Never gets old
Haven’t had one since middle school, quite nostalgic lol
I had a friend take all my pokemon from Pokemon Colosseum right in front of me when we would play the game together on my file. Still upset to this day lol.
"friend" lol
Video suggestion: Jim goes to Family Mart.
Lol, I do that most days, not sure what kind of video it could be though

Yeah, it was a great deal. It pays to go out of your way sometimes.

You really carried that MGS co op moment for like 30 years

Much appreciated
Out of the Ranma fighters on SNES, Chougi Ranbu Hen is decent because it has the standard controls of pressing up to jump, etc…
And it looks absolutely stunning too! A bit slow in the gameplay, but decent indeed.
Ok now I need to get me some Coco Ichiban. We have a few of them here in my state thankfully. I also need to find that game now haha. Good vid as always Jim.
I've never had Coco outside of Japan. I wonder how it stacks up.
@@MadPanicGaming Full menu customization just as it always has been. Always leave with food coma haha
Gradius shirt sprays so damn hard 💪 Great video
Love those videos!
Thank you!
Cool game hunting trip Jim so many games at hard off stores nice pickups to 🆒👍
Thank you!
@@MadPanicGaming your welcome
Currently watching this while on my flight to Japan!
NICE 👍
Enjoy your time here!
@@MadPanicGaming Heck yeah, thank you!
I just caught the “push the whopper button” comment on a rewatch. Haha love Red Letter Media!
Heaven help us if that whopper button goes unpushed.

Hmm, I like the SNES Tiny Toons game, but I think I prefer the straight forward platforming of the first NES game
I love that song that plays through the _”Consoles”_ section of this video! Please! Where is it from?
Great Stuff, as always!
loved the elevator music version of the SM64 music
Do you know that the Mad Panic Coaster ost was written by Ken from Hi-STANDARD?
I didn't but that makes a lot of sense.
Jim, what’s the music at 4:30 playing briefly for the “like/comment/go for a walk” anime footage? It’s very chill.
Nice!

Omg, I got curious about the price of the .Hack games that appeared on the PS2 section. I love those games and they were kind of rare.
TELL THE CREW TO PUSH THE WHOPPER BUTTON. Don Beverage. Haha I'm so happy you also love RedLetterMedia.

Oh theres that HelloKitty Dream-CAT..
I never could find a Matching Controller /VMU 4 Mine
T-TT
wow what a bargain on that Salamander DX pack..i had to pay much more for my copy..😢 i own the nes version of jackie chan and somebody deem it as the better one
I shall have to try it then
I didn't know about 80% of the game titles

Very good place for Nintendo stuff! Great prices! PC Engine sems to be a rare sight nowadays, this Hard Off isn´t an exception...
Cool!

Hey how much were the "new" 2dsxl and 3ds xl...?
Beautiful japan do people not have many dogs in Japan? Never see any dogs. Any huskies there? Just wondering 😊
Does this place have a website 🤔
This is in Nishisunacho not Haijima
Can someone please tell me what the song played at 6:35 is? It is played in all of his videos.
It's the shop music from River City Girls.
@@MadPanicGaming thank you!
What's up with that Hot Scramble price? 2 grand for that??? Just because its silver????
It's some kind of rare variant, only so many made, so on and so forth
Id love to go to this place one day. Do they speak english there? If not its ok ill just have to dust off some of my basic japanese then!
Typically there won't be any English speaking staff, but there's not a lot of speaking involved, and as long as you have at least a basic understanding of Japanese you should be fine.
