Vladimir Putin. Unknown episode of life [english subtitles]

I would like to bring to your attention the episode of the program which was broadcast on one of the big Russian channels on the 1st of October, 2012. In this program journalist Andrey Karaulov tells about the episode which happened to Vladimir Putin in 1989 in Dresden, and was unknown till the program went on the air. At that time Putin was KGB lieutenant-colonel. The author of the program is absolutely sure that this situation was not made up since thousands of Dresden citizens became the witnesses of this event, and the story of how it all happened may be heard almost in any bar of Dresden.

I'm not saying this story is not true..
But I have been living in Dresden for 26 years now (and I have visited many bars here, also had many conversations about Putin) but never heard the anecdote before.
So to say "in Dresden, any person will tell you this story in any bar" (3:50) is quite a stretch.
Just saying.

it's just a legend. it is normal when celebrities acquire interesting stories. I think about Bismarck's too much talk. and that the truth? who knows?
