I remember these days. i grew up a 90's baby so iv been a fan since 94'. I remember this race because i caught myself thinking how weird that its not called 'Winston Cup.' I sure do miss the Winston Cup days when i was a kid. listening to guys like Buddy Baker, Ken Squire Bob Jenkins and BP. Racn sure has been fun and mad watching it happen over the years.
Harvick winning, Sadler 2nd, Jarrett 5th- this race was one that made me very happy at the time (I was an RYR guy back in the day and Harvick was my favorite non-RYR driver).

Jamie McMurray had some cool alternate paint schemes with Texaco/Havoline that year. He had the Autism Society of America scheme in this race, and throwback schemes at Texas in the spring, the 600 at Charlotte, and the fall race at Talladega.
I miss the times they brought the damaged cars out and they commented on them, now they won't let you do that and you don't have time to even fix them with that 5 minute clock.
Anyone remember the race (and if anyone has it!) where Waltrip manages to pass everyone near the end of the race then collides when reaching the front? If I remember correctly, he stayed on the outside when passing everybody, and it was nighttime with the caution flag gone when under 10 laps to go.
2005 food city 500 that was very good race i have to give b+ there lot a tire issues first part middle part of the race there some big wreck a small wreck
Sucks for Rusty. Dominated the 1st half of the race. He probably would have stayed in contention for the win had the tire not gone down. That could have been career win No.56. Not meant to be.
That Harvick RCR 20th Anniversary car was BEAUTIFUL
This Race was actually the day I was born, one of the reasons I rooted for Harvick till he retired 🙏
Nice to see Kyle Petty get a top 10 that day!

In the midst of dreadful seasons, Dale Jr and Dale Jarrett both got great top 5 finishes, one of few. And missed all the attrition that piled up.

True. That was his race in '05. At least he made the Chase & finished top 10 in points. Solid way to go out.
Just stopping by for a whiff of good, old, Bristol.
Same
Rusty had such a great car that day.

And now most of those seats are empty :(
It's sad seeing what the sports become

I'm surprised Rusty Wallace's bumper didn't get caved in when Ricky Rudd rear ended him that hard at that speed.
Underrated Bristol spring race
This racetrack will be used as a football field come September 10 when Virginia Tech plays Tennessee
Awesome race to watch thanks

The worst is that he didn't win all year.
