I say that about many of the parents in this show. I don't think they're strict, just normal, good parenting. That's also not to bring shame to the real parents. I certainly know how it feels to be at the end of your rope and not really know which way to turn, when your children are behaving against everything you've tried to teach them. It's downright heartbreaking.

There was one American family I liked, they were Mormons and actually very gentle with the kids, while understanding their issues and helping them to resolve them.

The Indian dad is 100% the same as my dad especially when he was checking the kids textbooks one by one for any assignment that won't be missed.
If we had weekend homework that we didn't do on friday we weren't ALLOWED to do it but at the same time we weren't ALLOWED to say why and had to come up an excuse at school

Honestly these parents weren’t even strict compared to others on this show. They were willing to compromise, listen and get to know the kids. They give suburban bougie vibes lol but they’re clearly good parents.

If British grown ups behave like this, i must say we Indian 15-16 years old teen are much more mature and responsible and know what we want in our life in future.
