  • Hi, I figured I would show how I make my own leads, attachments, and probes for my oscilloscopes and multimeters. In this video I show how I make my own test lights for load testing circuits. I also show the importance of testing your equipment. Thank for watching.

    Thank you ! I purchased the banana plugs , a bag full and the screws were just loose in the bag, I could not figure out how to put these together , I never guessed the screws went inside the pin. I felt like an idiot and you can’t solder the wire to the pin ,,,,,,,,,, thank you again great video well made

    Late to the party but the TS100 is been my circuit board repair soldering iron from the start. It has to be the best one I have used on a small budget starter set up. Of course really big wires it doesn't do all that well bet will always do better than the butane soldering irons.

    so when you load test your circuit do you find out how much amperage the device draws then load test circuit with same amount of draw from your lights or do you justt guess?is it ok to add too much amp drae since were just placing a bulb long enough to light up or is that bad?also do you remove the device on that circuit when you load test your circuits?

    • @RobertDotterer
      @RobertDotterer  2 роки тому +1

      It depends on the circuit. Usually the circuit only operates at half the fuse rating that is protecting it. Say it has a 15amp fuse you will normally only see 7-8amps. If you are testing a solenoid most are around 0.5-1.5 amps

      Also remember light bulbs and motors pull a lot of current when starting up so sometimes the initial spike can be way over the fuse rating.

      Here are the stackable connectors. Note the long shipping time. They ship from the USA sometimes.

    Links no longer work for jacks...any recommendations on brands to go with for jacks and maybe a recommendation on the correct wire to make leads also.
