- Mr H ticks off another pie shop from his bucket list and trys a meat & potato pie from Handley's Bakery in Chorley as the quest continues to find out who makes the best pies in the North West of England.

You could do to travel a bit further north to Preston and try Paul’s Pies on Fishergate Hill, old school baker where you can see everything going on 👍
Wow! That’s what you call a good solid pie I could almost smell it .
Great fanfare @ 1:51-1:52, Mr. H! 😁

Mr h. Did you work in a bricklaying gang. With a couple of lads from Ince. Chris and nick. I'm sure we've worked on site together many many moons ago. But I could be wrong. And old age is getting the better of me 😮
That looked like a reet good pie. What's this eat it by hand?.. I thout a proper Wiganner shoved a pie in a barm.
I'm assuming you are refering to the famous 'Wigan Kebab' Paula?
I've never tried one myself as this started off in Leigh until pies shops in Wigan started offering them here as well and then claimed the idea as being their own which is how this legend was born.
Certainly I can remember a time when pie shops in Wigan didn't offer 'a pie in a barm' and would have looked at you as if you'd gone daft if you'd have asked them for one.
The Beef pies are Reet Gradley lol!
ChoRRRley. Peculiar accentuation when pronouncing their arse.
I'm originally from a town where we used fot gerront buzz.
Kiss: 🎶Pie was made for gobbling with gravy 🎶🤘
Ha-ha yep you're right Loafer, having worked for a number of years in the past with someone from Chorley who'd always pronounce it "Churrrley'" I can confirm that they do have a rather peculiar way of pronouncing their 'R's'.
@@MrHsHotPot 😆👍
I've even seen the Speaker of the House of Commons in there. No, not John Bercow!
Gents pies are only £1:60 and they are proper meat and potato
And the place hasn't changed in 35 years! Best pie shop in town

Still waiting for them to reopen Nick, passed the shop the other week and the refurbishment seems well on it's way and close to completion.
As soon as I get word that they have reopened again I'll get myself up there to try one. 👍

That pie looked bloody good. Just on diet regime at moment so no go as yet, but who knows what future holds. Maybe the globalists will ban pies. Get some in while you can.👍👍👍
