It has a dual purpose. GoPro marketed it as a rubber piece to reduce the vibration that people were getting in video due to the plastic clips getting looser over time. However, filling the space to reduce vibration will also stop it from unclipping at the same time.
Loved the video! You make it very easy to understand and your channel's been very helpful thus far. Do you think you could do a video on some mounting tips for aviation specifically?
Many useful tips here that do not limits to GoPro 3 or GoPro by enlarger, thanks to all the clones and whatnot. I suggest a change of title as this can serve a lot of people, pretty well, above and beyond GoPro & bring you more viewer and higher rate.
Thank you for your Go Pro Videos on help!!! You do a great job, hope to see you shoot some video showing different settings and the different things on Go Pro videos!! Thanks again,I subscribed to you channel!!
Great video, I had no idea the straight mount arm existed, can't find them anywhere alone though, I don't want a bacpac, but would like to buy a couple of these for angled mounting on quadcopter etc
Just managed to find the straight extensions come with the GoPro Helmet Front Mount AHFMT-001 - looks like it comes with two of these, I've just ordered a set ! Thanks.
Sorry Ifti - what is the mount on the right at 13:11 - with two thumbscrews next to it ? This is a great video, I thought I knew all about the gopro mounts (I have a box full), but have picked up loads of good tips here !
The adhesive mounts do retain some stickiness if removed neatly (with heat from a hairdryer, for example) although they will not be as good as using a new mount and could be prone to coming loose depending on your shooting conditions - hence I only recommend they are stuck down once. As mentioned, you are able to purchase a roll of 3M adhesive - which is the same adhesive thats on the mounts anyway. The correct type is '3M VHB'
Thanks! Despite a user for a while now, I hadn't fully appreciated this little funny anti-vibration rubber white 'afterthought' that I had in me box ;) Now I know how to use it!! A1++++
No offence taken - I welcome all comments and will take this on board. Thank you for taking the time to comment - as you can see, I read them all and its comments like yours that help highlight the small annoyances and help me improve ;o)
Mike Remmers No probs - although you're not the first to mention my accent! Some people say I sound Australian, some say South African. To me its just a normal, boring, accent! lol.
Thank you. You are a gifted teacher. I appreciate the thoroughness. Many GoPro videos assume I know more than I do which makes them less than helpful.
Glad the video helped ;o)
Barbara Ricker Yeah I find his methhod very useful

Thanks I was just trying to work out what the little white thing was but this is all really useful.

***** My straight mounts came with the bacpacs - not sure if you can purchase them alone, although they are really useful!!
thankyou so much for such an detailed & useful video!

Nicely done, well organized. I found your video VERY helpful. Thank you.
Do you know if you can you use a gopro with bacpac on constant charge in a vehicle mounted situation ?
Thats why I didnt like the chest mount as much. It needs to sit really tight on you, but even then you do get some shake during extreme use!
The white thing goes around the mount clasp so that it does not accidentally get hit and un-clip. Search google about it for more info
Very useful tips. Appreciated it.
thanks for the info i have the chest strap and i can't figure out how to set up so it won't shake as much.
Always wanted to know what that white thing was!
Still using my GoPro 3+ Black in 2020.
Really helpful, thank you! Plenty of info and easy for a beginner to understand :)
ForeverFairytales Glad it helped!
Why does no one review the circular mounts :(
Which circular mounts?
iftibashir Figured it out. It was the leash for the surfboard mount.
Thank you for the video!
after you take off the sticky pads can they be re-used?
Nope, you have to buy this part new. You could get this 3M sticker i.e. from amazon.
that's just utter crap, id rather buy a strap to mount on my head, i think it will be cheaper in the long run lol

Thank you very much
Thank´s alot - this really helped me ;)
Thanks! U rock!
How do you tell if you have a good angle?
Its either guesswork or you use a LCD BacPac or a connection to the GoPro App to live view and ensure the camera is lined up before you record.....
Thanks
Great video thanks!
It's called a vibration reduser
thank you
share a video how to mount go pro to a tripod without using the case...it's urgent
The only way to do that is with a case or the Frame Mount, using a GoPro Tripod Mount.
If missing the small nuts go local hardware size up the mount to thread pitch sizes etc. 👍
Watching in 2024💯🤣🤓✌🤘👍
Thanks!
Really thanks!
Thanks for sharing
♡ Love it Very Sturdy.
Carry a narrow cylinderical magnet to find your nuts
Camera tips video coming soon!
No all of the nuts are on the attachments

Anyone else realize how many times he says "actually"?
Well actually you are quite right - I did actually say 'actually' a fair bit in this video.....actually!
lol - apologies, I will try to say it less!
Sorry, wasn't trying to be mean, I just noticed it.
No offence taken - I welcome all comments and will take this on board.
Thank you for taking the time to comment - as you can see, I read them all and its comments like yours that help highlight the small annoyances and help me improve ;o)
Watch the roundabout
This sux. Gopro mounts or a commercial.
N^^CE !!!
you say "actual" too much. you actually do.
Your accent is fake!! It very distracting to what your saying.
How do you mean? Im not trying to put on any accent - Im just talking normally, as you'll see from any of my videos?!
oh sorry.
Mike Remmers No probs - although you're not the first to mention my accent! Some people say I sound Australian, some say South African. To me its just a normal, boring, accent! lol.
