If you can afford a metal lathe, wood lathe, Oscillating cutting tool, router, drills, etc... then I think you can afford a table top belt sander...instead of taking 10 hours to build one...LOL

I'm watching you make a unique tool but have no idea what it is while you're doing it. I'd appreciate a little starting flash of it in use before the how to part of the video begins. But hey, that's just me! I'm still watching 6:41 minutes into it. 53:59 is a stretch without knowing what it is. 👍🏻🇺🇸

I usually jump to the end. All I need to see is the end product. Not all the steps to get there.

Ppersonally I enjoy every single step you take and enjoy watching you do it. For those who seem to think it is too long or unnecessary to show so much, ...FFW. Also to those of you who want to see what it is going to be first, read the part where you have taken the time to write what it is and exlpain it! I think you are very creative and talented and I thank you!!!

    i love your ideas Sir
i have many tools lying around that with your ideas i can make handy tools without spending a lot of money especially want to make a timber planer /thickneser using even a washing machine motor i just have to resource an old electric planer to get the cutter mechanism
I have found the hand electric planers to break the rubber drive belts your idea also makes them stronger to use with various timbers
was your planner hard to do ????
    thanks for sharing your ideas

lots of fun to watch. i esp like the way you make each tool so you have it to work on making the next tool. also like the bought tools you have, and the dexterity with which you use them. you are a guy who knows how to have fun. and a man of few words. a few more dimensions please. so where do you get those nice motors and lathes?

My question why after you see the tools they have to work with do they still choose the most jacked up way to do things. #3 he takes the v pully to his lathe and spends forever turning away most of it why not just saw off from bottom of V then face off in lathe also on the pully turned in to faceplate why drill all those holes with hand drill when we just saw you use your drill press did you forget you had that. I guess if you are going to make useless crap you should make it the hardest way you can find.

You would have been better off having a bucket of hot water and a bucket of cold water and just dipped the bottles in each as needed. Also why epoxy glue the old motor pulley onto the shaft when it had a perfectly good Woodruff key for this purpose?

Gee... could have cut that motor pulley in half with that hacksaw you have, then faced the remaining stub, instead of painstakingly, a fraction of a millimeter at a time, cutting away the entire outer shoulder then the base of the "groove", and then most of the inner shoulder. Seemed like a lot longer than the almost 3 minutes watching this. And of course, since the video was playing at high speed, it was for you. Why drag it out like that?
