I just got my BDS 6INCH LIFT on my 20 laramie installed. An its hands down thu best lift ever. Rides way better that stock. Rear fox shocks. I'm on 22x12s -44 offset with 35s nittos ridge grapplers.
Really glad to hear it!
Im strongly considering this kit to run LT285\75r18's Geolandar G015's I don't want anything wider than that because of my 30 mile highway commutes, but I also might just level it and run 275\70R18'S to save the extra 9lbs in tire mass. We get snow, tons of rain and hot summers but I also work in a steel mill and need a little more rugged tire. Ended up with 3 flats this year alone on my blizzaks from the soft tire compound on my beater car.
I know you stated that it fits up to 33’s but what about 35’s? I’ve seen a few videos of guys running 35’s with this kit but not sure if there’s trimming and if the tire rubs.
Can these be paired with your guys 4” lift .. would want some coil overs with the 4” system
I second that.
Since this doesn't lift the entire suspension and basically just stretches up will it affect driveability? Will you bottom out when you hit bumps? Since the control arms are not level and start in the downward motion?
Is this compatible with the ecodiesels? I know the other kits are not compatible unfortunately
unfortunately not compatible with EcoDiesel models
How much lift would this kit give a Ram Rebel?
I emailed them and said it’s a true 3 inch system. Said it would get 3 inches of lift. Still not sure if you get 3inches plus the 1 inch the stock rebel lift. Or just 3 inches altogether.
To answer this it would be three inches as you are removing the ram suspension so that extra 1 inch from factory is no longer there.
@BDS Suspension what is the reasoning for offering the 3" kit on your website for the ram 1500 rebel with and without the cross members and drop knuckles? Why would you go with one vs the other? From what I've seen once you go 4" your kids usually come with the knuckles and cross members.
Hey James, so the factory suspension geometry on the newer RAMs allows you to add up to 3" of lift based off the factory mounting mounts for control arms, steering linkage, etc so this setup while it does improve overall performance the CV angles, lower ball joints, etc operate at more of an angle, especially during down travel. With the 4" lift kits, we provide new crossmembers, steering knuckles, differential relocation brackets, sway bar extension, etc to correct the suspension, steering and driveline geometry back similar to how angles of a stock truck. Hope that answers your question, feel free to reach out to our sales/tech team with any other questions at
Why is the 3 inch kit more expensive then going with the 4 inch kit?
Because it has better dampers. Most of the cost of the 4/6" lifts are the brackets. They typically come with lower end dampers to keep overall cost down.
What’s the price on this bad boy?
Price will depend on the options you go with, head to bds-suspension.com/product?kid=1661H
