There are so many famous, influential, noteworthy, and downright great producers in hip-hop that you could absolutely do a follow-up video to include even more, and possibly change some positions as you hear more from the producers already on the list. It really has me thinking about the importance of beatmakers in both classic and modern hip-hop.
I really liked this video because people need to talk more about producers. I also like that you explained your opinions so it's not just an echo chamber to the general consensus. But you are off your rocker on some of these. Pharrell and Metro in A? ATL Jacob in the same level as Zaytoven? It was entertaining tho lol
Re: RZA's production on Tical, I love that album. Aside from All I Need and Release Yo' Delf, which are basically remakes of classic R&B songs, the album is the darkest and grimiest of the Wu-Tang Clan's prime years. The beats on Sub Crazy and Mr. Sandman especially sound like nightmares in music form.
16:48 if you’re a fan of JPEGMAFIA’s production style, check out EP2! he basically made an entire project without samples and it sounds incredible, really shows what he could do if he wanted to

Very cool to see Metal Fingers included, thats more a deep cut i feel like. Honestly, I assumed he wouldn't be. Edit: I'd love to at least hear your thoughts on Fantastic Damage or Cancer for Cure. Then listen to Killer Mike's R.A.P. Music. That was the start of him and Mike's relationship that led to RTJ and shows his versatility in beat making for others. He also has done some great work for Danny Brown. Would love a in-depth talk about his place in rap as you look more into him, he has had a really underappreciated role in music imo.

Music. man is a bonafide legend and he still just keeps making more amazing music tbh
