Gamer2know, my wire came off the mother board in my dual sense controller I just need a cheap soldering iron to fix it will a cheap Amazon one do the trick? Thank you
No. The soldering is only for: -Remapping L3/R3 (which is redundant as there are work-arounds through the PS5 Accessibility Remapping Settings) -Remapping The Middle Touchpade/Pad Button(which who cares about that. You can find many helpful tutorials that as "Soldering Version" and "non-Soldering Version" installs. The Clicky Triggers and Facebuttons are also easy and don't require Soldering. -Personal experience, when going back together pay attention not to press too hard on a button when going back together or you will break a button off the rip. -Also, don't plug in your controller's battery until the faceplate/motherboard is securely mounted as this could/has shorted out facebutton/trigger/power button circuits. Doesn't break the controller but the brand new face button/trigger buttons ribbon circuit will need to be replaced again. When buying the triggers/Facebuttons I recommend 2 for each to account for human error and/or factory defects, which does happen 1-10 times I wanna say.
On top of all that, if you have stick-drift and you don't want to solder, a work around is to steal the Potentiometers out of the new sticks and put them into your already soldered bad sticks. This worked on my buddy's controller 100% 0stick drift surprisingly. The little stick drift went away he said the more he used it, the controller like self-calibrated overtime BUT, that's if you're lucky. Eventually stealing potentiometers will not work anymore. Main point, you can do A LOT of repairing WITHOUT soldering.
You hold down the small button in the middle of the back until a red led lights up then you press the button you want to pair and the back button you want it paired to at the same time until the led flases, repeat with 3 other buttons if you want and then hold the small button down again until the led goes out. They are nice kits but if there are two versions. One works for bmd 010 and 020, one works with bmd 030 and they did make a new bmd 040 controller that I didn't even know existed assuming it was going to be a 030 version and had the 030 kit for it. It did end up working with the new controller version. But you have to figure out which one you have if you're not sure.
The cobalt blue released with the slim and the slim has the 040 controller. I recently bought cosmic red and cobalt blue controllers and they were both 040. I would assume that would be the case for all of the cobalt blue ones, but I'm not 100% sure that is the case. If you haven't tried it yet I do love this kit btw.
This looks like the earlier version of the kit so I can't say for sure about it, but in the kit for the newer version of the controller I had to solder in a ribbon strip to map R3 and L3, also a wire to map the touchpad, not really sure why you would need the touch pad as a back button but I did it just because you can I guess🤷♂️. Short answer though is yes you can but you may have to solder. It's really not bad though and I think they are great kits. Just make sure you know what version controller you have if you want to buy one.
POV: You thought you just had to click it on the back and plug it into something
Dude has to perform internal surgery to install these 💀
Should I get the metal ones or the plastic ones? The problem with metal paddle is that when you sweat the paddle becomes slepery

Yes
Do we need soldering for BDM20? I also saw some of your videos.

Can anyone explain how to pair them with the buttons

Fooooooooooo
I try my first time and it take me about 1 hour and half 😂
You can remap L3 and R3 ??
im pretty sure you can

Wow so you have to modify the entire controller just to install these
Ddoes it. Ruin the controller?
😊
Took me over 2 hours 😂
