Pretty crazy that exactly 21 years before today, Gerard was working in a cubicle in New York doing what he previously thought would be a dream job as a cartoon artist and was miserable. 10 days later he would personally witness the twin towers fall. It was in that moment that he decided life was too short and he wanted to make a bigger difference in the world. I don't think he had any clue just how big the difference he would end up making would be. Thank you Gerard 🖤

I already knew this from interviews he did years ago but it's still cool.
And later on he did infact go back and work on his dream job as a cartoon artist

There is a 25 year difference between me and my son. MCR brought us closer his teenage years. You could say they became "our band". We've seen them together 5 times since the v early 2000's and are super psyched to see them again next month after all these years!
Same situation with me and my kids.
I was at this concert ! Very first concert and it felt like I finally wasn't alone is the world with so many people who shared the same the taste in music ❤️ what an experience and an amazing show !

I JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT if you look at older performances, Gerard does NOT sing the proper chorus of "Welcome to the Black Parade" (the "carry on, we'll carry on") --- it's pretty high and hard to do night after night with other songs. BUT I'VE NOTICED, he's been singing the proper chorus with the high notes this tour, and even when they came back. Gerard has been working on his voice and didn't let it slip at all. im very impressed with him
I know people are gonna try and say that they tune down a half step now (which they do) but that's literally a one note difference. That high note in the chorus is still super difficult. He's killing it...and he got tf back in shape since the reunion show too
@@peysecail yes you're absolutely right, but it's not even one note. If they pitch it down by a half step, it's a half note called a Semi tone. Either way. You are so righ

Just to clarify, a root note like an A for example is a different note from an A# (or a Bb for some random elitist that's gonna try n troll me). Therefore, the shift from one to the other is One note. A halftone(semitone) yes but a full tone is 2 notes.

Honestly so much love and respect for them keeping it as tight and good as they sounded. Especially Gerard’s voice, if i close my eyes im listening to the early 2010’s set at reading and leeds
Holy SHIT. I just came from the NASHVILLE show. Home of Mikey Fucking Way. I just traveled back to a 2006 MCR show. I’ll post one song because of difficulties but the cheerleaders outfit Gerard came out on stage with set the literal stage for the rest of the show. WOW !!! I didn’t except what I witnessed. Best show I’ve ever seen. Magical.
U got me so stoked. Seeing them twice in Oct.
Gerard opened up so much to the audience in his speeches and outfits. This was my first time seeing them honestly the best concert all around dilly dally turnstile and MCR amazing!

Saw My Chemical Romance in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam at the soccer stadium in 2008, it was a great concert. Drinking Tiger Beer with friends was a good time. The winner of the Vietnamese Metal band contest also played. It was an event to remember
They were also the first American band to play there after the war
Was there too when i was 17. And just saw them again 4 days ago in Houston. Feel like Im the luckiest person on earth ❤

It amazes me how good he still sounds and how they all are still so good after all this time and nun of them really look all that old ether I mean definitely different than when they were 20 but that expected, but they are, and will continue to be amazing I love pretty much all of songs, not gonna lie.

Saw them on this tour in Raleigh NC. Best concert in all of my 60 years.
Actually, I'm more of a newbie than other mcr-loving people, but I love them and their songs and I would love to be there. I probably won't be able to go to their concerts for the rest of my life because I'm younger and there's a chance they'll break up again by then. And this concert was on my birthday, which made me a little sad. I hope one day I can go to their concert❤️

Seeing them live was #2 on my bucket list. That dream was realized 8/29/22. I bought a $400 camera to record the whole thing. I was prepped and ready. The day before the concert the venue listed the no-no's, now to include CAMERAS. Couldn't bring in any bag bigger than 6"×4" basically a cell phone and some tampons. Anybody want to but a $400 paperweight?
To add insult to my injury I was so stunned to be seeing them I just kept grabbing my face and saying over and over "I can't believe I'm here! I can't believe this is happening!" Now I can't remember actually SEEING the performance 😳! 😆 I could really use a recording of my experience .....
All that aside, Thank you all that is holy, for allowing me the opportunity to have been with them Live ❤️!

I was at the OKC show and couldn't believe they did not play Helena! At least Gerard explained what happened. Made me sad as well

I was at the okc show as well and really wanted to hear Helena. Why didn’t he play it?
@@kaylaprice1996 he basically said that he got in his own head being that it was the first show of the tour and he was so amped after playing “I’m not ok” that he walked off stage thinking that was it and he was told once he was backstage that he forgot to play “Helena” which made him very sad. It was on the setlist but he overlooked it. 🫤
