You're literally the only artist to take away fears of trying watercolor for something other than abstract stuff because you're unafraid to show the "ugly" middle state of the process. 😅 I mean this in the most loving way possible. 💛 Your final product is always stunning! 💖
I feel so scared halfway through all of my paintings... like I've made a terrible mistake. I've come to realize too, that every work has some degree of "ugly stage"!
@@KimberlyCrick Lioba has addressed this in at least one other video if hers, and I was so glad! Because I literally didn't know what was going on that ALL my watercolor experiments looked terrible! She literally taught me to relax and keep going. 😅😍
Many people discourage tracing, but it helps when you want to focus on painting and helps you get a better idea of proportions and trains your brain so you can draw it on your own! Love your videos!!💖
I think tracing stylized images doesn’t help you. Though tracing realism can help recognize proportions and features and help with shading. If you are tracing stylized it helps but just not as much or not in the same way, that’s what I think at least.
Was so cool to see the journey to the finished product. The beginning stages of a watercolor painting tend to look kinda "ugly" or chaotic, but it turned out lovely
That was beautiful! I would never have thought of using green in skin colors! I've heard of purples and such. How do I learn which colors are in skin if I can't "see" them?
Those alternative colors on the skin depend on your light source and the colors reflecting from other objects, for example, when you have a blue sky your shadows will look purple; if you are in a park with lots of plants your skin will get those greenish tones too because of the reflection.
I say observe whatever you’re going to paint long enough. You’ll start to actually pick up on the colors. As the commenter above me said, the surroundings will usually reflect on the skin or object. If there’s nothing that hints at it in the surroundings, then think of a color and see in what areas you can spot it on the picture. Do so with different colors and you’ll be surprised where you’ll find them. Even in the small details.
Been watching tutorials for a while, but not even one I have applied. Guess I will just watch videos. Problem when you can't afford something you want because you're barely buying what you need the most. Hoping for our success and contentment guys!🤍
There are so many crap demos online with thousands of likes but this one really is brilliant. You have a lovely voice. Could listen to you for hours. Great work Lady Bruckner
This is like a dream. I always have wanted to work wiht no limits, without rules, only paint what i have on mind and what you do (obviously you have a lot more of practice), its the closest thing to my idea of making art. Like a dream!
Wonderful technique! What would we do without our white Luminace pencils? Can you even imagine Iife without them? Your voice is so adorable it made me 😃 Really glad to discover you. See you on Patreon soon!
HOLY DAMN FREAKIN FRACK !!!!! ITS SO AWESOME !!! I seriously need 500 years of practicing before I can even put the paintbrush on the paper to paint THAT ...... like seriously its awesometasticly cool,,
You inspire me to no end, I love drawing portraits on my channel and I only recently started working with watercolor, your video is so informative and I learned alot.
You are amazing, and see you troughyour titorial( I watched about 4 times look like you use Polychrom pencils as well love all your advise , thank you so much 💗
Hey ! Just want to say I love your work and it’s amazing !! I’ve seen many comments saying you should speak German and do English subtitles , and ( I speak both ) in my opinion I think you speak English very well !! Carry on doing you and whatever makes you happy ! X
Very nice...the main reason for me to not do watercolors is the lightness of tone...using my pencils for enhancement is a much more interesting idea. Thank you.
Omg! You're an inspiration, this is so beautiful ♥ I just want to practice more and more when I see such beautiful art like this, thank you so much for sharing! ♥
I had no idea Action was also in Germany. It’s a Dutch chain, and I do like trying out their creative products, but just to play around with. It is possible to create stunning art with cheaper supplies, but there’s a reason why good material is more expensive.
Tracing is not cheating. A lot of artists use it to make the artwork faster. What matters is that it’s not a stolen idea or work. In any case as long as people aren’t selling things as their original work when its copied it’s fine. People can draw whatever they want and how they want, they are learning and enjoying. Also as if tracing does all the work for you? Tracing literally just helps your with proportions and placement of the image everything else has to be done by you! Seeing what you draw, the shadows, highlights, shapes and lines. Besides drawing takes a lot of patience and so much time! Tracing can also help to actually practice and memorizing proportions. It helps your drawing a lot. Stop policing art. Not everyone is a realism artist. Let people create and have fun. As long as no one is stealing 100% of someone elses work it’s fine. I used to stress and feel that everything went wrong because of the ugly stages. Now I dont mind at all, I know there are more details to come

I ALWAYS draw free hand but I agree ✍

Beautiful art. im enjoying so much. keep the great work.
Was so cool to see the journey to the finished product. The beginning stages of a watercolor painting tend to look kinda "ugly" or chaotic, but it turned out lovely
Step 1: learn to draw
Well damn I’ve never had this many people care about anything I say before
I feel your comment on *such* a deep level. lol
I do nothing but draw ✍
Not required. I do all my drawing tracing
That is true. You need to have a foundation to figure out what’s she doing
@@medithijyosthna then you don't draw, you trace and steal Uwu
