How to TURN UP a Samsung Fridge's Temperature

- Your Samsung fridge temperature is set at 36 F. You want to set the temperature UP to 37 F to save some energy and money. You hit the temperature control button twice and the temperature goes DOWN to 35 F. Then you discover there is no up button! Press the temperature control button again, and it goes down to 34 F. Now you are scared. If you keep hitting that button, you fear the temperature will keep going down. How the heck do you get the temperature to go up to where you want it?

I needed help just checking the temp after the freezer door was left a crack open all night and both freezer and refrigerator portions read in the high forties. Did not how to interpret the screen, and what each temp meant, until now. Manual did not help. Apparently when the door is open, the compressor stops?
Brilliant. You have helped me to finally adjust our fridge after almost a year. Our freezer was at minus 3 and playing around it went to -4 then I tried again and -5 and I just stopped. Now thanks to you guys our freezer is a 0 where we wanted it all along. So we will let things calm down and adjust as needed now. ;)

You set it to 37 and it jumped back to 35. Is the 35 telling you the current temp in the fridge and eventually it will be at 37 or what?

One additional comment. Let’s say the fridge is 37 degrees and you set it to 35. Within a few seconds, the gauge says 37. This is the actual temperature inside the fridge. It’s gonna take a bit to get to the new temperature.

Usually, if temp control is working and no other problems, should not take long to get to set temp. That is only a few degrees. Do not go back and forth opening the door to check the temps. Might want to check the next day.
I soeak from my experience with other makes. I really have no experience with Samsung ad I just got one in. Having to figure a problem with it. Did a reset. Now waiting to see if the temps drop.

We have this refrigerator we did the auto defrost on it for the ice maker it went to Celsius instead of Fahrenheit and we can't seem to get it to go to Fahrenheit. We've tried hitting the and by hitting the energy saver for 3 minutes did nothing we tried hitting the alarm button it didn't do anything either how can we change it over to Fahrenheit

My Samsung’s temperature goes up by itself. Right now is at 50 degrees and when I bring the number back to 35, immediately goes back to 50. Any suggestions? The model looks just like yours, bought it in 2015.
I have the same problem except that my fridge goes up to 80 degrees on it’s own and try to bring the temp back down to 35 and it goes back to 80 again

You're going to freeze your Evaporator Coils and your freezer will start blowing Hot air. Stop it

It is on 66 and I do exactly what you were telling me and I get it down to 3536 and it just goes back up to 66 on the display
Had the opposite, where things where freezing in the fridge itself, so I moved it up to 5 Celsius (Canada) where it was originally 3.

My bottom one stoped working about a month ago and now the top one with the ice dispenser has stoped working also but it has the light off on. Can you show me how to get the ice maker back ON? I it was frozen over so I turned it off and then a lock showed up and the freezer is locked in OFF mode. I pulled out the ice maker device and used 2 blow dryers to get the ice thawed enough to removed the large chunks so the ice maker tray fits back in securely. I just can't get the ice maker from the OFF ode. It says hold 3 seconds which I've done but that dosn't work. I've seen the video on how to hold the 2 buttons a few seconds to get it out of demo mode but when I do and try to set the freezer temp, the ice maker OFF button is illuminated and again prevents me from turning it back on. I'm so sick of using my freezer space for bags of ice. Plus I pay for them and then forget to pick them up as I'm walking out of the grocery store. Any one with any advice on this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks and have a great day with ice at the ready!
