I forgot my cinder block on a cable drowning set one day and did like you. Caught beaver and he tried to chew down tree and gave up and chewed his foot off. Caught him 2 years later on same dam
You get that water flowing, and that's an irresistible sound to other beavers to come fix it. But they end up in a fix C'mon 😉 hope you're having some pork sausage today in observation of "Ground hog" day! 😊😊😊 I gotta ask you if you have ever had a trap go off while setting it? Happened once to my uncle on his foot. The funny thing was he was more hurt and upset over the fact that it ruined his brand new rubber boot that he was hurting his foot. His said, "My foot will be OK, my new boot on the other hand, won't 😅 He was a tough Nebraska farmer. 😊😊😊
