- An abandoned pub with camping nearby!? Yep it exists! In this video we are driving from Perth to Coolgardie
We have a convoy of eight vehicles including a Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 van, 200 series landcruiser, Isuzu Dmax and Nissan GQ Patrol. This is outback australian adventure at it's best, and an overlanding journey on many peoples bucket list.

This is the first of DAILY VIDEOS! where we are camping near an abandoned pub after the drive from Perth to Coolgardie. Over the course of a week you will see 7 videos exploring the Goldfields region of Western Australia. Great to see you still have your coleman telescopic camplight mate, we bought one based on your review & its one of our best pieces of camp kit, everyone asks us about it, we really love it. it did snap up near the hook on our last trip, due to drunk me trying to reposition it between 2 branches.... so i had to get all Macgyver with the duc tape & araldite but she's good as new now, probably even better than actually....shame about the patrol mate, but better in the drive than out on a trip...safe travels mate, always nice to see you with new content to watch.
Yeah I still LOVE that thing and it never fails to attract interest from fellow campers as you say. Later this very night a rather intoxicated individual nearly took a tumble and grabbed the lamp as support 😂 it didn't break but did collapse. It seems drunken antics are the true test haha. Thanks for watching 🙂

Did you get the Patrol going again on your return?
I have a 2003 GU 4cyl that had intermittent power failures. Turned out to be a faulty factory immobilizer. Quite a rare fault apparently.
Yeah i did get it going. Took me half an hour once I had the part in my hand 😐 an immobilizer fault hey? That must have been a pain in the arse to pinpoint!
@@Alex.G you are not wrong. Being an intermittent fault it took ages. My Auto electrician had it for weeks and actually drove it daily to catch the fault and test roadside.
Said it was very unusual as the immobilizer puts itself to sleep basically when car is running and only operates when key is removed.
Something to keep in mind. Would be ideal if it could be circumvented.
Certainly would want that happening in the desert LOL.
