B'nai Brith Canada reports steep rise in antisemitism - May 6, 2024

  • In Ottawa, representatives from B’nai Brith Canada present the findings of their 2023 audit on antisemitic incidents in the country, which documents a 109.1 per cent rise in reported cases from the previous year. According to the report, 5,791 incidents occurred in 2023 compared to 2,769 reported cases from 2022.
    Speaking with reporters are Henry Topas (Quebec regional director), Richard Robertson (director of research and advocacy) and David Matas (senior legal counsel). They are joined by Liberal MP Marco Mendicino, Conservative deputy leader Melissa Lantsman and independent MP Kevin Vuong.
