The thing is this. India has some Idiotic rules regarding what can be said and what cannot be in elections. In my opinions this is an infringement on freedom of speech and expression. That Nehru imposed restrictions (the so called reasonable) never specified what they are, who decides what they are. The first thing that ought to be done is remove the Nehruvian modifications and then EC will have nothing to say about what is said in an election campaign.

I feel that the Congress has a strong IT cell this election. Any negative news on the INDIA alliance or positive news on BJP is being attacked with gusto. A previously much-maligned Yogendra-Yadav is being hailed as the psephologist of the century while Karan Thapar’s interview with Prashant Kishore is being equated on the same level as the Modi interview the latter walked out. A study on the presence and strategy of the Congress IT cell will shed much light.
