At around 7-8 I got adopted. The guy, now Dad, took me to this hole in the wall comic store. He bought this handful of Deadpool comics because he thought I'd like them and he wanted to seem cool. It was the first thing we ever did together. I'll never forget that. That was around 30 years ago. That character will always be unique in my mind.
Your Dad is cooler than Deadpool and Wolverine combined.

I love the Deadpool movies. I love Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and it’s great he’s finally in the correct costume.
However I cannot in good conscience give Disney my money so I’ll be sitting this one out. For everyone claiming they are “done with Disney” or boycotting, that message goes right out the window if you pay to watch this
You're not wrong, however if this movie does well then they can no longer hide behind the "super hero fatigue" excuse for their rubbish moves and shows. Hopefully it forces them to change course but I doubt it.

Doesn’t matter. Because do you know what’s following after this? Agatha, Ironheart, Cuckdevil Stillborn Again. This is going to be another Guardians 3. It’ll make its money, but it will be back to business as usual for Disney Marvel. Hard pass.

I think most people will treat this movie like Spider-Man No Way Home. They know not to bother with other recent Marvel crap.
Every good product makes them enough money for them to churn out five awful products.

In the Deadpool movies he only ever refers to them as a singular x-man. He's very careful about that. The word X-Men still hasn't been uttered in the MCU.

I have no reason to think this. But I genuinely get the feeling that there's going to be an animated sequence and I think they're going to bring in the cast of X-Men 97.
Alan thinking X-3's downfall was because it had too many mutants in it is top kek. I don't hate X-3, I have my own nitpicks with it, but "too many mutants" is hardly the problem people had with it.

I keep saying this and I called you out on Nerdotic live stream...you are a fan of movies and the stories...and you sit and rightfully so point out the bad writing that Hollywood has done over the years. Why are you not writing? I think you can be a part of something bigger and you know what cinema use to mean. I would love to have a writing session with you. Things can change. The right people just need to be there for it.

I pre-purchased a local viewing on the first night (25 July) Seriously please NO Spoilers.
I wanted a final trailer to show just enough. It did it and plan on seeing opening weekend now. Optimistic but taking it once movie/show at a time based on reviews 🍿

"logan" killed it for me and i clearly remember that's the moment i stopped going to the cinema -- so this better a redemption story and stop portraying our heroes like absolute washouts

I know everyone loved Logan but I did not like it as a final send-off to Hugh Jackman (Days of Future Past was the best send-off). I’m glad Jackman is getting one more go at it and hopefully end on a less depressing AF note

You're supporting Ryan Reynolds seeing this movie, Chapek green lit it, Igor can't claim that. True, disney will make money on it but this is something I've wanted to see. They're hemorrhaging more money, so this won't save them. It will only give more credence to Ryan if it succeeds.

Its gonna suck ...the same writers who made DP great are not working for Disney. Using Xavier sister in the wrong universe, lady DP more fimmicks but theres a drought of movies so itll be rated highly
I got the feeling of GOTG3 tbh, like its a send-off movie of sorts. Hope the movie sets up something small and neat for future, that sticks to become the baseline for next Marvel movies.
The studios do themselves a disservice with long trailer, too many trailers and basically feeding the public the whole film.
Prefer the comic Deadpool to this, it makes him too much of a "normal" Deadpool. I'm sure it will still be good but I'm with Alan, I want to see prime Deadpool not begging people for help and caring about his loved ones.

These films don't really do anything for me, they're choc full of the same cliched, self-aware (but ironically not very self-aware) supposed (but also nauseating) 'sass' now so common in so many films and supposed content-ment.....but I also understand why folks like and have some hope in them too for simply also being on the politically-incorrect side rather than the sad politically-over-correct (and cultish) side.
It just doesn't look that exciting to me.
I guess I just don't get the appeal of these characters being rehashed over and over again. It seems to be mainly eye candy to draw in crowds but all credit to the movie maker, it's working for them. I'm not interested.
