We Escape Another Lockdown: Troopy Trip Episode 6

In this episode we finish our South Australian leg and head along the Murray towards Echuca in search of idyllic riverside camps. Another snap lockdown in Victoria sends us scurrying across the border into NSW where we enjoy riverside camps while laying low.

Liked before watching. Then you did the Coorong ,Lake Bonnie and the Murray, some of my favorite spots. Too good. Was that last camp in Tocumwal?

The last three were all closer to Barooga. Not far from Toc. Cute little town with great cafe for breakfast and coffee too

Hi Guys great to see you enjoying the Murray. Can I ask how you get on with the electric cook top, what size battery are you running. We are just embarking on our fit out so would be great to know a bit more of your setup.

Hi Stuart. Sorry about the delay. Induction cooktop going well. We have 200aH of Lithium and a 2000W inverter. If we’re camped up for a few days and not getting a lot of sun I do have to switch to our gas stove but otherwise the system works well as generally we drive most days and batteries recharge after a 2-3 drive with the Redarc manager 30. We also have 2 x 125W solar panels on the roof.

Thanks for the info it's really useful as we have just started our troopy build and have spent hours slaving over the battery system as we want to use solar based power for cooking and hot water.

We use a handheld racquet high voltage insect zapper, which you can find for $10 on eBay.
