  • Regardless of where a musher takes their mandatory 24 hour layover, there are some important things to keep in mind. How you take this time is one of the most important aspects of the race. ⏱
“I think I’ll hang out here for a while”. Upon arriving into McGrath first, Dallas received the Spirit of the Iditarod award from Alaska Air Transit. 🐕The team looked strong as they pulled into their spot to take a well deserved rest after the 48-50 mile run from Nikolai to McGrath.

There's so much more science behind running a successful team than I had ever imagined. I have been watching sled dog races for years but for some reason I have been very into the details of how to efficiently run a race this year than any other.

Thanks for sharing. I am enjoying watching my 1st Iditarod from Florida. I see your standings and the back and forth of the teams. You’re doing great! I’ve read everyone’s bio just to understand how they got there. Now I’m doing the UA-cam search for more knowledge about the race. You have given me a lot of insight. Appreciate it. Thanks

I loved this educational side of the Iditarod. A more personal approach to feel like I'm important too. I am still amazed. I'd like to see what your days are like, & I'd like to see just what you see out there on the trails. I bet there are some beautiful views. I am a proud Seavey fan from Independence, Virginia. So good to see you Sir! Hope your family is well.
