Wow. The second frame was amazing. So, I've got the International 8 Ball rules open... The players couldn't ask for a re-rack because the rules for stalemate does not allow for "No Progress" like other rule sets do. Obvioulsy we discovered that the referee offered a re-rack but both players didn't agree, that's up to the referee. However, the rule for Stalemate is; "Rule 6g: If any situation arises whereby a legal shot cannot be played". That seems to be it; so, no automatic re-rack. The reason Shane kept bumping the yellows down towards the jammed pocket was that he understood the rules. If he surrounded the pocket and then potted his reds, it would have forced an actual stalemate. He was saving the frame! Incidentally, when it got down to Shane's last ball I thought why not at least try for a skillshot? But no.. Loss of Frame fouls "Rule (4) Potting the eight ball when a ball or balls of the player’s own group are still on the table.. ..Including potting last group ball and eight ball in same shot" (Skill Shot). Blimey, ok.. on to Frame 3
First time watching a pool comp - enjoy watching. Why is there both a total game time limit and a shot clock, then also it is a "race to 9"? Seems over engineered and means that when the match is half done on total time the chance of coming back is almost gone...either having it a shot clock plus race to nine or a shot clock plus total time limit makes more sense.
16:33 these rules, why doesn't Shane just pot Mick's yellow in the middle, playing loss of turn?? Again then pot his last yellow the next visit, then it's Mick's visit with both balls tight to the black... Shane wins.
Yes in Blackball and in this. This is International 8 Ball. Rules under Loss of Frame Fouls 6f (1) Deliberately not playing a ball from his/her own group first, or an “on” ball after a foul. Christ I'm a nerd.

Brilliant 👏 👏. Very consistent. 👌👌
That ref's really cute. ♥
Love the part where the commentary is like, "it's a good question repeatedly"🤣🤣
Everything is going so perfectly for him, the ultimate purple patch like Potts said, it’ll change so ride it as long as it lasts
Mick showing a bit of Dagenham clevage.

This game is amazing. Everything is lined up for Thomson to win the game. Everything is going well for him but not for mick hill.
Its not a rerack until it's impossible. Whither are balls they can play they must play them.

I would have played the loss of turn and potted as many of the others balls as fast as i can forcing them to go for the one by the black when its last
does intentional foul count as a loss in blackball?
Yes it does but they are playing international rules here with a blackball twist...
As far as I know, yes

This commentator is seriously annoying, stop stating the obvious for every single shot.
terrible refereeing second frame
Loose rack on rack 3.
