- I head out to Loleta in this video, having just found out about the Halloween III factory demolition beginning. We knew that this day would come sooner or later, given the condition that the place has been in over the last few years.
I did speak with the owners of the property off camera, and they are going to try to save as much as possible of the factory that was not damaged during the recent earthquakes.
I will be raffling off some of the bricks to some lucky Halloween III fans that I was able to bring home from this location, once I hit 1000 subscribers on this page.

Thank you for sharing this. Was last at the site in June of 2023. I had been to the location 3 times. I covered the news of the demolition on my channel too. So glad the owners are trying to preserve what they can. The film is very important to me too. Sad the factory was so damaged in those earthquakes.

Really gonna be different without all the factory there. Sure hope they never do away with the apartments that was used in the movie, cause this factory building and apartments are what really stands out in the movie. Thanks for sharing a look before its all rubble!!!

Considering how many times I was nearby the factory, I’m bummed I never actually paid a visit while living in CA. to snag a pic and momento. Happy you documented this!
Awesome video! I can't wait for the interview video. You should mention to them that once they're finished with the renovations they should allow paid tours. I can almost guarantee that every Halloween fan who goes there would pay to take a tour. (Even if the interiors weren't technically in the movie). They could make some decent money on that probably. A nice little side hustle.
Thanks. I did mention that they should try to monetize the location, but little to none of the brick building will be there. All that they can save is the other buildings that are not made of brick. So basically nothing used in the film. I suggested that they should sell shirts, postcards, posters and bricks and even hold movie screenings .That's what I would have done. Make it a movie historical location. (I considered buying the property when it was up for sale) , but the owners seem to have other ideas as far as making it a shopping center.
@@mikescollectiblechannel Ah, that's a huge bummer. I was hoping some of the brick parts would be left to stand. How did you happen to run into the owners? Also curious how much the building went for when it was for sale?

Glad you enjoyed! I plan on going back around October to see what has changed. It’s only a little over 4 hours from here. (Unless I hear from the owners sooner to do a video interview)

Exactly..same here. A lot of high quality hard work had gone into building that factory. like you say, great character building.
My brother-in-law would die if he got a brick from that he has several of the actors autographed all of the Halloween masks autograph that brick would just be the icing on the cake for him
