    just saying that its not really considered safe to flintknap inside, it releases silica in the air which damages lungs.

    Not sure about that knapping teacher telling the kids they must wear goggles then saying I don't have to. Definitely the wrong thing to do with children, he's simply saying if you want to look like an expert don't wear goggles and wearing them is the mark of a beginner. No kids gonna want to wear them.............. I don't wear goggles at all when I knap, haven't for years, but when I teach kids I put them on and don't even mention it is possible to knap without them, (actually I do the same when I teach adults too).

    this is very unsafe , knapping indoors can cause silicosis of the lungs , commonly called "knappers rot" they should have been outside with a good wind blowing away from them ... im actually shocked as this is common knowledge and being wilfully ignored by the man teaching
