On Geocaching.com you can organize and host what are called CITO events. CITO stands for Cache In Trash Out. These type of events bring geocachers together to spend an hour working together to clean up an area that is riddled with trash. I've walked past this lot multiple times and decided I wanted to host an event that got this place cleaned up. Amazed at how much trash we found and collected.
It does not cost anything to host an event! If you know of a place that could use a good cleaning, host your own CITO event by clicking the link below. As a host though, you need to provide garbage bags and trash pickers for those who attend.

It was pretty insane how much trash we all collected. I didn't think there was gonna be that much as I didn't bring enough garbage bags with me.
