"I didnt have a plan.....my body just moved on its own" This was such a great call back to season 1, the emotions during this scene were at a high for me. brilliant character development
The context is important too. All-Might said that is something that all of the greatest heroes experience. By doing this himself, Bakugo is establishing himself as having grown from a bully into a true hero.
"Top heros have stories from their school days.... they all have one thing in common..... their bodies move before they have a chance to think"

Both the japanese and US VA did the same thing, the moment Bakugo speaks about how his body moved on its own, there is no rage, no scream, just his calm voice.
Can we just acknowledge the fact that Aizawa was thinking of Eri while cutting his leg off? Dadzawa confirmed
well he thinks of her because he’s thinking that eri can rewind and give him his leg back if she learns to control his power. any damage he does to himself to help out might not have to be permanent kinda like when deku went infinite 100%
@@LolDanDaMan you could say that but I think even more so that he doesnt want eri to feel bad about her quirk deleting aisawa's, just as it did with lemillion. Also hes the only one who could shut off her quirk if it goes overhand like it did with deku

@@LolDanDaMan as someone who's raised kids, I never read this scene that way. I can't imagine Aizawa putting that kind of pressure on Eri. Rather, this reads to me as him thinking of how she needs him, and needs his quirk, because he enables her to safely train her quirk and live more safely/comfortably overall. I genuinely believe he's thinking of her out of not wanting to let her down, not out of feeling she's his way out of this.
Deku beating the absolute crap out of Shigaraki became my favourite moment of the series.
They already explained why Deku's the only user capable of doing what he does, season 5 episode 10, they said that OFA grew to the point that the quirks from the other users became one with OFA's center-heart, the quirk always had this much potential but the reason why only Deku can do it is because the quirk needed to grow and it took 9 people to do that, if there was a 10th user then that person will also be able to have all the quirks and stuff, it's not that Deku's some kind of chosen one by destiny or that he's related to the first user or anything like that, he's the same as the other users.
But it honestly ain't doing any good I say Enders attack done more damage
@@jarvisfowlkes3200 Shigaraki himself was saying how he's getting damage so much that the regeneration can't keep up and that he would have died if Deku kept going
“My body just moved on its own” same thing Deku said when saving Kachan in the first volume.
Deku can now float, technically fly since he can use the wind pressure to propel him forward or backwards. After training with Endeavor, he can now use 30% of OFA (technically 45% but only for a short time)
15:30 MHA is already in the last arc of its final act right now, you guys are currently watching the final arc of the 2nd act so the series has about 1 or 2 seasons left, most likely 1.

Solo deku arc around episode 13 or 14, then it will prob go to the 2nd war getting ready to start. then season 7 should be the entire 2nd war, Unless we get a plot twist then yea season 7 should be the last one unless they cant fit it all.

I fully agree if Hori killed Katuski off here it d not be a great idea. Katuski´s story should be basically starting here as the whole 6 seasons were pointing to his lack of motivatiton in saving people as his mains missing part of becoing a hero. Now he finally got the last missing puzzle of getting onto his starting line as a true hero, and lets not forget our boy doesnt evne have a hero name yet unlike all other characters. Also if Shigi is still kicking, Katuski s injury in comparison to Shigi´s looks like a papercut XD

I was waiting for your guys' reaction to this episode! I love Aizawa so much, he's such a badass! Him cutting off his leg like that was so unexpected. Another thing I didn't expect, was Bakugo making me emotional over his development and willingness to take the hit for Deku. I was crying at the end, even though I don't think he's gonna die, at least I hope not. It was just a very good episode, IMO.
Oh man! As a Manga reader, I've been so hyped to see peoples reactions to the insanity that is the War arc. Episode Spoilers, Just to be on the safe side.
Bakugo taking that hit for Deku being the peak moment of the Arc for me. From Bakugo's incredible Character growth. (As an aspiring author, if someone asked me for advice about improving character development I will always suggest looking at Bakugo.) Then I get chills as Bakugo says, similarly to Deku in episode 2. "In that instant... I didn't think. My body just moved on its own." All might in episode 2 later says to Deku. Many top hero's have stories from their school days, Moments where their bodies just moved an acted on their own. The title, "Katsuki Bakugo: Rising." is perfect for the episode. He finally had his big Hero moment.
But sorry for ranting 😅 Love your reactions, those shocked gasps at the last shot of Bakugo was what I was hoping to see. Can't wait for the rest of the Arc. 😄
To clarify, the subbed version has Bakugo saying One for All as a whole is a cursed power, not specifically referring to the 4th user's quirk

Always enjoyable watching ya'all watch MHA. I love what you said about how bad everything is going is way more intense than how good things started. Like it's been one anvil after another lol
We've supposedly been in the "final arc" for almost two years, and it doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon... at this point there's probably material for at least a couple more seasons, mostly with the same pacing as this one.
10:02 when I saw Bakugo jumping in front of Deku it broke my heart because I love Bakugo more than anything in the world but I feel like he isn’t going to die

Those tendrils that shot out of Shigaraki the same ones that AFO used to manipulate Kurigri and Magna's Quirks, and to attack All Might in Kamino.
It's the "forceful activation" quirk stolen by AFO.
Im loving this season cause its a ton of action, however I don't see the heroes winning so I hope by the end of this battle the win feels realistic and not just like plot armor

Eventually Eri could help him regrow the limb, eye, and all injuries. In fact she could do that with Deku too.
Season 1 flashbacks galore and with it inevitably comes some translation differences from the Japanese version. So let me talk a bit about that because it all ties to a plot point I'm very interested in:
In the manga and subs, Bakugou's "even if OFA is some kind of cursed power, it's still our only hope" is instead "even if OFA is a cursed power, OFA is..." and the rest is left ambiguous. That's always given me the impression that Bkg has mixed feelings on the quirk: It might be cursed but it's the only power that can match AFO. It's allowing Deku to live out his dreams but is also destroying his body. It came from AFO but in the hands of AM it inspired a whole generation of young heroes, etc etc. And while saying "OFA is our only hope" puts emphasis on the quirk, I think it being left ambiguous with flashbacks to AM and Deku puts more emphasis on the wielders instead.
"From now on Deku is the name of a hero" was originally "I'm the Deku who always does his best" in Japanese.
And instead of Deku quivering in his shoes as he stands up against Katsuki in a training exercise, we get a shot of Deku now, looking feral and wild and spraying blood everywhere with his arms all messed up. It looks raw and cool but it's meant to be scary: He's the Deku who always does his best and his best is currently killing him.
Bkg is aware of how Deku's heroic spirit can be detrimental to his health while we've only ever seen it be praised before.
Lastly, Deku's "that's why I'm here" as he punches Shigaraki was originally "that's what this power is for", and it's sad how he doesn't seem to think of himself as a part of OFA, but as a vessel for it.

if Nana was still alive, maybe she would be as old as Gran Torino? we all see her as young lady because she died young

The fact that One For All's Fourth User is redacted and shrouded in mystery plays into the pan-Asian belief that the digit 4 is cursed.
"Tetraphobia" is the irrational belief that anything that comes in 4 is unlucky and ominous, because the pronunciation of 4 and Death are really similar in Chinese.

I can answer your question regarding AFO's possession of Shigaraki! AFO is currently a vestige within Shigaraki, just like the past OFA users are in Deku. That's who was battling in their minds when Shigi tried to take Deku's quirk. A vestige is created when a quirk is removed from it's original body and put into someone else's, almost like a ghost. Deku's vestiges are friendly and want to support him, but AFO is malignant and wants to take over Shigaraki's body. It's also possible the Doctor rigged Shigaraki/AFO's quirk to be prone to possession. So that's how AFO is able to "take the driver's seat" when Shigi is at his limit :)

You missed the ED change this episode same with episode 3 with twice, episode 11 will also have a change to the ED
I thought multiple too.. but I kept thinking about it over a couple of bowls and thought todoroki has multiple quirks. I wonder if one kid has 3 quirks just been born with? That’s something to think about.

I haven't read the manga past season 5, so I don't know what's going to happen. But I'm pretty certain that the PLF will have to grab Shigaraki and retreat. His body couldn't keep up with Deku's punches and now he's burnt to a crisp.

I honestly prefer "atone" instead of "make up" like in the manga and the sub when All Might was talking with Bakugo about him always helping Deku in training OFA. Idk why they changed it in the dub

OFA has incredible power but the body can only hold it for so long even if it is laying dormant unused. Deku at the end of it all will only have so long before his body burns up. This my own opinion btw
That's wrong the manga tells us that that people like deku who has no power can use it for ever all might could have use it until he got very old if he was not badly hurt in his 1st fight with all for one

Naruto had a heart surgery too. Thats not bad writing genius its fuking shonen. You don't have healing stands or healing ninjutsu in mha. So the only healing you can do is surgery. Why tf people cry bout this?

@@flixytip4571 the story spent like 2 chapters establishing a big dramatic send off for Bakugo. You see his parents be worried about him, you see him talking to an All Might vestige (which i don't understand how that works but whatever), you see Shiggy literally telling the audience the thematic ideas behind his death.
But, then the story goes naaaah it's cool Z list character Edgeshot randomly can replace his heart. But it's gonna kill Edgeshot though and that's important (even though Edgeshot has literally only appeared in like 30 panels)
Its just manipulating your audience into thinking their is gonna be big stakes. But then not committing to the consequences.
