at 36:27 the volume taken is not correct it should be, area between two concentric pipes multiplied by length of the pipe

    Hi sir,
I'm a chemical engineering student from Monash University. I really liked this video especially i understood thoroughly the transient conduction chapter. Thank you so much sir hoping for more videos on other chapters too.

    Hi sir
How do we find problem this is a heisler chart, when they not mention in the question. 🙋

If we don't have any way to find solution then we can use heisler charts

    Excellent lecture, professor. Thank you.
But I found this video by searching about Fo < 0.2, once those equations are applied to Fo > 0.2. What in fact happens in cases with Fo < 0.2?
    Regards,
    Erick.

      Hey Erick,
It depends on how less the Fourier number is. Considering the error being in suitable range, we can still use the charts as an approximate solution.
Please go through Pg.4: (Prob. 11-41) where was Fo < 0.2.

Whatever it may be but IIT Kharagpur lectures provides the content by most humble manner & professors are really great to teach & explain. Especially the subjects teaching from the domain of Thermal Engineering & Fluid mechanics are great for any average Indian student.
