My husband had to have ours perfectly straight even when stored in our shop. We spent 20 entire summers in Colorado with friends and vacationed there with them for years before that. It finally came a time that we want to just stay home in our sticks and bricks. Several of our friends had stopped coming. We are thinking about downsizing to a Class C and do short trips and visit family but we’re happy to be home…..maybe plant a small garden but mainly have flower beds.
Yes, I knew someone who absolutely obsessed over parking their trailer “perfectly” each time! There was no peace until it was “just right”. Kellie, your patience is amazing! What a fun ride! Wildfire smoke has been really bad this year, depending on the wind direction. Labor Day here was far too hot, so it was a good day to just stay home. Thanks for another great video❤
I was out ATV riding in Western Washington for Labor Day. It was great to be out and about on the ATV. I enjoy watching all your rides! One of these days I want to come check out Montana. :-) Safe travels!
I just live vicariously through my brother and sister in law 😂 the views are beautiful on your rides! Looking forward to Mike and Pam coming home to BAMA! You guys be safe this winter season.
You guys crack me up😂 You are perfectly matched. You have opposite views on certain things to keep it spicy between you, but think identical on the ones that matter. Those are the things that make a perfect relationship IMHO! ❤❤❤ Got the same with Mike. How very blessed we all are!❤️~ W
Kellie, he was an Air Traffic Controller! He's needs to vector than thing in perfectly. I know every controller in my work center, they are all the same. Laugh!
I'm still laughing about the 2 1/2 inches out of alinement Jim was stressed over. haha After being an over the road big rig driver a lot of years; I can confidently say Jim would have had many a meltdown trying to back into some of the OLD short, cavernous garage drops in the industrial area of Manhattan NY. They were built back in the 30's for the short bed trucks. They were truly a nightmare trying to back into. I've watched Jim, he's good behind that wheel. Be blessed guys.
Labor Day weekend I was able to visit a small town in northern Wisconsin for a Fall Festival and Car show. Beautiful weather made for a fantastic day!!
Hi Kellie and Jim, Great show tonight. I feel the tugs on your hearts and know it's a struggle to leave family. I'm so glad you have each other to lean on and all the friends you have to help. Kellie I have meant to tell you how great your new hair cut looks on you! Looks fabulous! And one more comment, I know who made the salad, "Seven Seas the salad maker"😂 Safe travels you two, hope to catch up with you one day on one of your trips through SLC, Ut. Hugs, Candy and Mike 🤗❤️🇺🇲
Thanks Candy...Kellie's not sure about her hair just yet, but she says it will get better as it grows. It's always tough to leave family and friends, but we know when we return it will be fun. It would be fun to get together at some point. By the way...we're dating ourselves with the Seven Seas comment...she wanted to see if anyone still remembered it!
Do cars go on the road to stark mountain, or just the side by sides ? Love Moab do the arches. And I was wondering does Kelly ever get nervous going up on the switchbacks?
The road to Stark Mountain Lookout is decent enough for a high clearance vehicle, but we've never seen any on our trips. Kellie doesn't usually get nervous anymore.
We're planning on leaving around the middle of October. You're right - Montana in the fall is beautiful! thanks for coming along David...we appreciate you.
This one was too funny-you’re BOTH a copy of us! My hubby’s OCD and I’m “whatever!” PS: we did nothing this summer because hubby needed medical stuff with the VA, and it was slow-moving. We’re heading to Morro Bay in October for a one-week getaway with some church friends (like-minded friends are the best!). We’ll be doing the snow-bird thing from Feb-May 2025 in Mesa. First time doing that-daughter getting married. We love your channel and are so thankful for you!
Take your time they say Arizona is a fire pit and they don't see it cooling down anytime soon! California has been over hundred degrees for over a month in some places and that isn't cooling off anytime soon. Idaho is burning up around Sawtooth, just so sad to see all that Beautiful National Park land burning up. Be safe out there and enjoy the trip south.
That would be super hard to be gone so long. Especially with his parents be so Elderly. We spend our spring / summers in Minnesota where we camp at all our favorite places with family. We snowbird in Mesa where we have a park model. We always fly home for a month at Christmas. Maybe you could do that. We also have our kids come visit . That’s usually what we give them for Christmas .
@@SuiteTravels flying is a means to an end. It really isn’t too bad if you can get non stops, have TSA and go early . We always say it’s better than driving to AZ especially if you are not sightseeing. Less than 3 hours and we are home in Minnesota. But we also have a home here so that makes a difference. Maybe a home base in Spokane?
Hi guys!! I was laughing when Jim was backing in. I always help hubby back in. I tell him looks good, then he gets out of the truck and says it's crooked!! Usually 3 or 4 tries then he's happy. It has to be straight for him or it really bugs him. 😂 Safe travels...💜
Great video Jim and Kelly’s! Hope all is well. Nice seeing you on the can am with some friends riding to that spot over looking a great view. I love when you go there. Nice you had a potluck in your community at your property at the clubhouse. That sounded fun. We have a pot luck at our church this Sunday welcoming a gentlemen who’s working on becoming a minister in 4 years. Pastor will retire then. So we are welcoming him into our church on Sunday with him and his parents. He is being trained under our pastor. Pretty cool! Looking forward to seeing you again. Let me know and we’ll hook up. Glad you had a great Labor Day! I did as well. Still in triple digits here like around 109 or less. Suppose to maybe have rain on Sunday or Monday. How is in it Montana? Glad you’ll ready to have your concrete poured soon. Hope you have great week and weekend. See you soon! Safe travels. Love you both! ❤❤😍🤗🥰
it has to be strait and level!! My wife will level our travel trailer and I look at the level and always have to raise or lower the jack because it is not to my liking lol
We have folding chairs that we carry with us in the RV. You may have been looking at our neighbor's chairs that they purchased at Costco for their firepit.
My son! Not quite as bad at age 27 he's very picky on how clean his semi and pickup is. But when he was little he would come to my house and the first thing he did was look at his toys. He knew exactly how they was positioned when he left to go back to his mom's if I moved one just a little bit he knew it and would be mad because I moved something! Of course I had no idea how it moved!😊
@@SuiteTravels Thank you for your feedback. Our New Horizons is in production now, buying the internet pieces now, and we have already made commitments to stay at Shyrock next July and August.
Being OCD is both a curse and a gift, and it helps for both the OCD person and those dealing with him/her to keep that in mind. I am fairly highly OCD myself: my bookshelves are alphabetized by author's last name (for fiction) and are organized roughly by Dewey Decimal for non-fiction. My closets are highly organized, as are my all of my drawers. My computers files follow the same basic high level of organization. The blessing is...I can almost always know exactly where anything in my household is at any given point of time. Being OCD had also helped me immensely in my career as an architect, because as Frank Loyd Wright said "God is in the details". And if I do anything extremely well, I pay attention to details. Hence OCD being a blessing/gift. The curse side is that anything slightly outside of your comfort zone can sometimes drive you more than a little bit crazy, not to mention what it does to the folks who deal with you. I very literally lose sleep over situations in which my own ideas of how things should be, are not. So I get it, in spades, why the trailer has to be lined up parallel with the edge of the pad. As an architect, I have a very good eye for plumb, square, level, etc,...and if I could see the trailer wasn't aligned properly, I would spend whatever amount of time it took to make it right.
That's a bit too anal lol I have something much smaller and I'm happy if it's on the pad straight enough. What gets me is there are some men, that sit in their chairs laughing and pointing at me instead of offering me help, but they can laugh. That's okay guys. It might take me 2-3 or more tries but I'm out doing my best. Stop laughing and get up to help or shut it 😊 had to get that off my chest. Great video and you make backing up look so easy. Enjoy and travel safe.

Right with you on having your rig straight on the pad. If I'm crooked it drives me nuts.

Get a yellow stripe rig
