Man, Gene's the coolest. Fist bumping with the fans, signing the Axe Bass in the meet and greet while dripping sweat after the show. Hard worker indeed. Especially at age 73.
I was in a band that opened for Kiss in 2010 here in Buffalo New York. It was great but nerve racking because we had already opened for a string of bands like Queensryche Soul Asylum Quiet Riot etc. We were all huge Kiss fans….well they were great. Their tour manager at the time met us at the back gate told us just park the truck down by the stage. Their crew took care of our gear. We got our own dressing room right next to Gene & Paul. They fed us gave us access during their show. Even made sure we had a sound check. Paul’s late guitar tech Francis hung out with us & introduced us on stage. Also hung out with manager supreme Doc MaGhee & talked with the band before & after the show. Class act everyone involved. As a matter of fact their head of security at first didn’t want us talking to them before the show but Doc insisted as did the band but I recognized their security guy who used to work for Bon Jovi so he was cool after we talked.
@@wightclaudia it was a guitar center contest. It was for our region of New York Buffalo Binghamton Rochester etc. Supposedly they picked the top 3 bands & then I guess Kiss picked the winner. It was pretty cool. There's some stuff on youtube the band was called DoDriver. We did one cd was working on another never went anywhere so I left the band after 4 years. Their original bassist replaced me. Now I just fill in for bands if they need a bassist.
That was fantastic and brought me back to one of my meetings with all 4 original members for the original farewell tour way back. Memories last forever 👍🏻💪🏻✌🏻🇺🇸
Saw them in London last wednesday 5.7.23 at the O2 they were awsome .. Love this Video im 64 years old waited years to get the chance to see them ! Finally i did thankyou so much for sharing this video really interesting and very cool .they are such great guys who care about thier fans ... Im really jealous but super happy for you .. what a great memory !! :)

He did a good job of hiding the fact he was extremely aggravated by the whole situation. He basically told his assistant if they wanted to wait till the show was over, then goodbye to them.
I've been a Kiss fan since I was 11 years old. I'm 52 now and I can well imagine the feelings that arose in those moments. Congratulations from one Kiss Army soldier to another for this occasion. I envy you a lot but I'm really happy for you.

That was a "Sanremo music festival" in Italy , a five days long tv challenge with many music artists, and they had a satellite connection with New York where Kiss play " I ( believe in me )" from The Elder . I still remember the woman who introduced Kiss "..and now...here from New York...only for you... they are....KIIIISSSS !!!! " and i was like a struck by lightning for the rest of my life 🤣🤣... From this night, for me was only Kiss everywhere. A few days later i ask my grandpa for a gift and he bought for me the album Kiss Killers, with three of a most beautiful songs, I'm a legend tonight - Partners in crime-Down on your knees- that i never heard live or in other greatest hits album. I was in my whole life at only two concert and that was Kiss in Zurich and Kiss in Milano 🤣. And yes, i envy a lot people who met Kiss in person , but i think is a shit if you must pay for this.
WTF! I'm also 52! Huge fan since I was 8 (when I bumped in the Dynasty record cover at the local TV and HiFi store in my little town). I saw them the first time in 1988 at the Monsters of Rock Festival in Modena, Italy. It was unforgettable. But the greatest gift I've ever received in my life was when they announced the reunion tour the day of my birthday (april the16th 1996).

Non era un pacchetto M&G in vendita sul sito Dovevi andare sul sito personale di gene Simmons e scrivere una mail alla sua manager specificando che basso volevi che ti firmasse, pagare con PayPal e poi era fatto. La foto con la band in realtà è stata un regalo di Gene stesso perché non l’avevamo nel biglietto ma dato che eravamo lì per il M&G con lui ci ha detto di venirla a fare lo stesso a patto che ci mettessimo ultimi nella fila… bravissima persona lui

we had a maximum of 4 autographs (in total, not per person) and unlimited photos and footages. I payed and i could bring up to 3 guests with. me, so we agreed on taking photos with Gene and I would have taken all the 4 autographs. 2 out of 3 guests were my friends, the third guy payed me for being the 3rd guest and he gave me more money for giving him 1 of my 4 autographs. So 3 autographs mine and 1 sold to him. Fabio jumped and wanted Gene to do the 4th autgraph, I got suddenly mad and Gene $immons managed to calm me down and at the end he signed 2 more autographs than what we could. So we had 6 autographs in total.
If you listen to Gene he is so pissed at that manager. He didn't get the people before the encores for the bass meet and greet. Gene couldn't wait a few mins for them to get there . They paid a ton for the tickets and 10,000 for a bass. Jesus Gene , you want them to miss the last two songs so you can hit the showers ? I almost just bought a bass on for the last show or two but now I'm not..... if it's only a couple of seconds and he isn't thankful for the fans .... forget it
That's a remarkable piece of video. To his credit, Bucket Hat Guy sticks up for the fans. Gene wants to know why he didn't bring them back during the encore. Bucket hat guy says: "They wanted to finish the show". Gene's like: "So I just have to stand here waiting?" Bucket Hat: "Yeah". Gene: "O-KAY!" Bucket Hat Guy's got balls.

uno dei miei ospiti aveva pagato l'autografo, un altro che non aveva diritto all'autografo gli è passato davanti gene ha capito e ne ha fatto uno in più del dovuto mi sono scusato con gene alla fine di tutto mi ha detto che non c'è problema e che dovevamo stare tranquilli perché era lì per noi.
E una cosa triste pagare per farsi fare l autografo ed e ancora piu triste far pagare un biglietto per poterli salutare ed avere un ricordo, ma certo non lo fanno solo loro...e guardate che tra Kiss Iron Maiden e black sabbath in 50 anni li ho riempiti di soldi...anche questo ora? mi sembra troppo sopratutto per artisti ricoperti d'oro proprio da noi. e chiaro che queste cose le decidono gli organizzatori ma dei veri signori prendono i primi 25 che an comprato il biglietto ordinario prima degli altri e li fanno entrare per i saluti altro che biglietti vip da oltre 300 euro... e guardate che i primi 5 album dei Kiss io non li tengo neppure sullo scaffale ,sono in una vetrina... nella mia hall of fame

Ma...ma...due che ci sono stati mi hanno detto di essere entrati alle 20,30 e di essere arrivati a metà piazza a pochi metri dal palco ed erano felici perché questa cosa di stare così vicino al palco non sarebbe stato possibile sotto gli Spalti delle Mura e li avrebbero potuti vedere solo col binocolo o guardando i maxischermi. Mi hanno detto che sentivano il calore dei fuochi.

we had a maximum of 4 autographs (in total, not per person) and unlimited photos and footages.
I payed and i could bring up to 3 guests with. me, so we agreed on taking photos with Gene and I would have taken all the 4 autographs.
2 out of 3 guests were my friends, the third guy payed me for being the 3rd guest and he gave me more money for giving him 1 of my 4 autographs.
So 3 autographs mine and 1 sold to him.
Fabio jumped and wanted Gene to do the 4th autgraph, I got suddenly mad and Gene $immons managed to calm me down and at the end he signed 2 more autographs than what we could.
So we had 6 autographs in total.

If you listen to Gene he is so pissed at that manager. He didn't get the people before the encores for the bass meet and greet. Gene couldn't wait a few mins for them to get there . They paid a ton for the tickets and 10,000 for a bass. Jesus Gene , you want them to miss the last two songs so you can hit the showers ? I almost just bought a bass on for the last show or two but now I'm not..... if it's only a couple of seconds and he isn't thankful for the fans .... forget it

That's a remarkable piece of video. To his credit, Bucket Hat Guy sticks up for the fans. Gene wants to know why he didn't bring them back during the encore. Bucket hat guy says: "They wanted to finish the show". Gene's like: "So I just have to stand here waiting?" Bucket Hat: "Yeah". Gene: "O-KAY!" Bucket Hat Guy's got balls.

mi sono scusato con gene alla fine di tutto mi ha detto che non c'è problema e che dovevamo stare tranquilli perché era lì per noi.
E una cosa triste pagare per farsi fare l autografo ed e ancora piu triste far pagare un biglietto per poterli salutare ed avere un ricordo, ma certo non lo fanno solo loro...e guardate che tra Kiss Iron Maiden e black sabbath in 50 anni li ho riempiti di soldi...anche questo ora? mi sembra troppo sopratutto per artisti ricoperti d'oro proprio da noi.
e chiaro che queste cose le decidono gli organizzatori ma dei veri signori prendono i primi 25 che an comprato il biglietto ordinario prima degli altri e li fanno entrare per i saluti altro che biglietti vip da oltre 300 euro...
e guardate che i primi 5 album dei Kiss io non li tengo neppure sullo scaffale ,sono in una vetrina... nella mia hall of fame

Ma...ma...due che ci sono stati mi hanno detto di essere entrati alle 20,30 e di essere arrivati a metà piazza a pochi metri dal palco ed erano felici perché questa cosa di stare così vicino al palco non sarebbe stato possibile sotto gli Spalti delle Mura e li avrebbero potuti vedere solo col binocolo o guardando i maxischermi.
