  • This is Volume 2, our second bite at the apple of camping sleep deprivation and astonishing beauty that is Lake George NY. This year's destination was Little Harbor Island, which like most of the campsites features spectacular views up the Lake. Our journey starts in Bolton Landing with the usual assortment of woodland creatures, plus some underwater dives to explore the hidden parts of Lake George. Filmed in 4k for the IMAX look. Mostly with the GoPro Hero 7 Black. Aerials featured here are flown by an FAA licensed Part 107 drone pilot. July 2022

Love your videos. I’m from Albany - owning a home on Lake George is a dream of mine! Beautiful video!

It's never too early to stock pile money. Everybody says it's hard. Back in the 70s with pretty much all the same temptations, I worked a minimum wage job for about 2 or 3 years and ended up with a down payment on my first house. Sounds like a ridiculous old man story, but most of how I did it was painless to me, but everybody I see now days tosses money around on useless stuff like they have an endless supply. Sorry, I rant uncontrollably sometimes.

@@calvertthedad thank you for the wise advice! I own a home in slingerlands and own a music production business making music for artists and singers and selling licenses online! I put money into my Roth IRA and 401 every month! Slow and steady wins the race I’ve heard. One day hopefully I’ll be your neighbor up there on the most beautiful lake in America!!! Ha! Until then, your videos will do just fine. Thanks again! 🪷🐟

We did a fair amount of camping on the Lake George Islands before, during, and after college days at RPI. In grad school, during the summer, we could leave Troy Friday after work and be on the island, with the tent up, before dark.
We stayed at Vickers, Agnes and Floating battery Islands at various times, depending on where we launched, Hewletts Landing or Bolton Landing.. I recall one trip when Tom Heller and companion and Rod and Diana Lakes joined us, The fishing was good that day and we ate well.

Hey Ed and Dot. I don't know a whole lot of people who eat the lake bass, but maybe you snagged some lake trout or land locked salmon. I still want to go for the apex species sometime.

They are not squatters on the dock. We pay $80.00 per season for a pass that allows us to pull up to any open dock. If someone comes with their camping pass, we politely leave and tell them to enjoy!

Hi Chris. What a beautiful place for a family gathering. Linda and I and our 2 year Becky camped on an island at Lake George with Bruce and Sandy in 1974. What's the chances we camped on the same island?

There are 44 islands with campgrounds on the lake. Roughly half or less are up in the Narrows. It's not impossible we were on the same island.

Sure why not? But there's a very steep entry fee....kinda like a snobby, ritzy country club. 😃
