@@MartinaDaSilva I’m going to be making a video about how certain vocalists soothe my ADHD brain. It will basically just feature you and Feist. The only 2 singers that put my chaotic brain into slow mode whenever I hear them sing. :)
@@GoADHDGo You know I never noticed it but Martina's music absolutely slows my brain down too. It's very rare that I can stop and just watch a musical youtube video all the way through rather than have it play in the background and be distracted by something else.
I love listening to Martina, & I'm ADHD to the extreme. I'm a true scatterbrain, so maybe there's a therapeutic benefit to Martina, as I see more projects to their completion on days, that I listen to her?
One of my all time favourite tunes sung by one of my all time favourite vocalists. Love how the sax player smiles when you hit some of those notes. The group is just wonderful!!
I've listened to it hundreds of times and it never ever gets boring. Each listen is a new story, a new sound that gets revealed in the background, it's so pure and perfect, the whole world should acknowledge the perfection of this.
Not only do I *love* Martina's amazing singing, but it seems that every time I check out one of her videos I am introduced to other great musicians as well. And then I can check out THEIR stuff... This gift just keeps on giving!♥
Frank Sutherland Perkins II was my great-grandfather's brother. Played this for my Berklee audition in his honor. He and his wife (who we all knew as "Fuzzy") were truly wonderful people, and Uncle Frank's work as a composer at Warner Brothers was pretty great too. Great rendition too!
Moonlight and magnolia, starlight in your hair All the world a dream come true Did it really happen, was I really there, was I really there with you? We lived our little drama, we kissed in a field of white And stars fell on Alabama last night I can't forget the glamor, your eyes held a tender light And stars fell on Alabama last night I never planned in my imagination a situation so heavenly A fairy land where no one else could enter And in the center just you and me, dear My heart beat like a hammer, my arms wound around you tight And stars fell on Alabama last night We lived our little drama, we kissed in a field of white And stars fell on Alabama last night I can't forget the glamor, your eyes held a tender light And stars fell on Alabama last night I never planned in my imagination a situation so heavenly A fairy land where no one else could enter And in the center just you and me, dear My heart beat like a hammer, my arms wound around you tight
OK so obvs Martina has that sultry, amazing range and Lucas, Russell, and Joe are amaze but damn Emmet on the Steinway & Sons is a whole nuther level... style fo miles!
The pianist and tenorist are very good, and feel the groove. The songstress however doesn’t seem to display/understand the romanticism and intimacy of this wonderful intimate song composed by mr Perkins. Just listen to Billy Holiday’s version. Or listen to - Moon Light in Vermont -, you’ll get the idea; nevertheless enjoy, G’day & Cheers!

@@sparky6086 I definitely believe that music, voices, sounds, etc. help with ADHD brains.
Tenorman. I hear you. I hear you like I hear Ben Webster. Not enough of that in the world. I am grateful!
Perfect tune to sip a hot cocoa and watch the snowfall to. 🤗

Jazz at its best!
At the beginning, the sax player looks at the sax like "what is that thing? Where am I here?"
