Hi everyone! Thanks for watching my video 😊. I did want to address/clarify that being single or getting married later in life allows you to grow in so many awesome ways too! I think what people usually mean when they say you won't experience life and adventure if you marry young is basically you aren't able to sleep around and date. I got married at 27 and I had the wild times but honestly, I wish I would've met my husband earlier, I was insecure and longing for companionship in all the wrong places and with the wrong men that didn't value me. I know for sure at 20 I was too immature to think about marriage to anyone, however, people have different life experiences and different maturity levels at different ages and honestly, it's awesome you found your life partner so young, you didn't have to deal with the messy dating world of today.
I guess it's depends on what people might describe as adventure. I've been in a relationship before and still learning a lot how to coexist in harmony with my partner. Some people just like being alone and really learn about themself first without being involved in a serious relationship. What if you'd like to focus on your career or travel around the world or do something that you really want meanwhile your partner doesn't agree with you? It's quiet hard to find someone that'll understand and actually compatible with you. I live in an asian country where marriage is seen as social and religious expectation. I've seen friends around my age (early 20s) that're truly happy when they marry young but i also see some of them that're miserable in their marriage and they can't do anything about it (divorce is seen as shameful here). I also see some people get into a relationship or being married thinking it will fix problems that they have in their life or their life suddenly will get better. The truth is, it's not. I know some people are lucky that they get to meet their husband/wife at such a young age, but for the rest of us we're not that lucky on the relationship department and just have to suck it up lol.
I married at 20 and 20 years married next year. We have 4 children, 3 boys and a girl, both of us came from hard working families, both of us worked in factories and put ourselves through college. So there was no need to get "mature", my mother was a brutal Irish woman, you grew up fast at home.

We want to get married before he leaves, but we have gotten so many negative comments about marrying young and being married while he’s in the military. It’s so disheartening. We were both 18 years old when we got married (I was a Freshmen in college & he was in Tech School for the Air Force) Were now 20 & just had our 1 year wedding anniversary in December! Love living the active duty Air Force lifestyle with my best friend!❤️ We do great long distance too.
Just Wright how did you deal with being in college while he was away? Did you u transfer to a school near him? My fiancé is about to go to basic training for the navy and I’m about to be a freshman in college so I need advice
Deja Crayton it was only my entire 1st year of college we decided to be long distance. While he moved to our 1st duty station by himself. For us personally, It was not hard at all. Every couple is different. For us long distance is nothing, we’re very great at it! I flew out to visit him twice at his 1st duty station before I officially moved out to him. When I moved I still continued to stick with my same college but did online classes, instead of going to the actual school.

@@annelluvido If you guys have already been talking about marriage, nothing's wrong with actually doing it! It's between you & your future spouse to decide, don't be scared, because it's YOUR future not there's. My husband & I were both 19 when we got married in 2016. We're now 22, been married for 3 years so far. We do not regret anything! Our family on both side have always supported our decision. We been living at his 1st duty station together for 3.5 years so far, & about to PCS to his 2nd duty station soon.
Getting married to my best friend at the age of 20 was so far my best life decision! Since my husband and I have been together, we have created so many beautiful memories and I’m so excited to start sharing my life here on UA-cam!! 😽🖤
Got married at 19! We’ve been married for a year and a few months now. He’s reserves but he’s on a 10 month deployment now. You’re videos have helped me so much!
So glad I found your channel! I'm 20 and I just got engaged so I've been binge watching your marriage videos hahaha. I will say, I'm definitely the spender and I'm really looking forward to learning from my fiancé about how to be more financially responsible.
I agree 100%! I'm so happy I was married at a young age. It meant we could wait longer to have children as well. A lot of my friends already have children, but we knew we wanted to wait until we had been married for several years and experienced life together.
Just discovered your channel it feels so good to know I’m not the only one going through the same thing. Me and my lifetime best have been together since we were 17 and we just got married 6 months ago at 22 the best decision I’ve ever made was to get married young despite all of the negative feedback we received. We have grown together over the past 5 years and have enjoyed every moment of it. He will be going on his 2nd deployment for 6 months in January. Proud Air Force wife ❤️
This video came up in my recommended basically at the perfect time. My boyfriend and I have been talking about marriage, and he's currently in tech school for the air force. I know he's the one for me in my heart, but I still can't help being nervous about it all.
Me and my beautiful girlfriend will have been together for 3 years in October (I will sadly be in basics) but I plan to propose to her after my first deployment which is some time in early 2020, I will be 20 and she will be 19 and I'm sure we're gonna have haters but I love her.

Got married at 19 but when you know you know. I thought about everything you said in this video and honestly it’s the best thing to have your best friend there all the time. He is now in USMC boot camp and I noticed he is honestly my truly best friend but I feel like I was always independent I’ve been paying bills, working, taking care of siblings, so getting married just means we’ll be doing that together now.
Thank you so much for this video! I’ll be getting married next month and a couple months after he’ll be joining the Air Force. This video gave me a lot of insight. Thank you!
You did a good thing. Thanks for sharing this video. I wish I got married young. I’m 40 and still not married. Oh, and about that Con about not being able to be “independent”, don’t worry about it. It’s not all that important. Just enjoy your life and your marriage. Love each other well the way Christ loves: selflessly. Submit and follow him well as the Bible says. Trust God in the process and in your marriage relationship. I’m glad you’re seeking out older couples and listening to them-wise!! Praying for you two!
I love the things you explain in this video! I’ve been trying to put my emotions in words, and you explain it great. Married at 20, and Airforce wife with a baby boy :)
I love your outlook on this and how uplifting it is. My girlfriend proposed to me on Valentine’s Day, I was discouraged cause all I could think was what would my family think, what if I’m not good enough. Hearing this makes me reconsider my thoughts
Getting married before 20 is a problem but after 20 the brain develops and the only reason other people say it's wrong is basically because getting married early you can't sleep around any more and honestly why do you want to sleep around just like that why hookup just like that? That's not adventure that's just wasting time.
My husband & I got married when he was 23 and I was 25 and you are so right! Like I feel like we got married at the right time! Mature enough not to make stupid decisions (at least not as many 😅) and young enough not to be set it our ways. We are growing & learning together and I agree with you.. it’s so much fun to have someone to do life with! My husband and I both come from strong military families (like his great-grandfather, grandfather, dad, & my grandfather, and dad all made careers out of being in the Army. So we he decided to become an officer in the Army after we got married.. at first I was against it cause I know it can be really hard for families (at least for mines) but he felt called to it & I’m glad he did! Thank you for touching on these topic. I think it’ll help others be more aware.
Hold on, couldn't you find the same pros and cons in a long term relationship that you started young? What separates your definition of marriage to just having a domestic lover?
This was actually really informative a lot of the other videos I watched were unorganized and complicated this helped so much my boyfriend who’s in the navy thinks that we should get married soon and this pros and cons really cleared things up for me
I loved watching your video! I am about to get married to someone who is a lot older than me. I can honestly say all the points you hit were true and gave me more confidence in my future marriage. I have had the chance to experience life and be independent. I have also learned how to have financial responsibility. All your points gave me positive feelings except for the last point since I know it is true. I am still young and imagine marriage to be a "happily ever after". I will have to change my perspective a little; I know I cannot just expect a fairytale. I know marriage will be hard, and now it is starting to feel more real which is scary. Overall, great video!
i was married to my husband i was 24 and he was 29 my husband was still in the army than we got married so young but both us are staying strong for eath other he still in war ps Alicia and John
Wow this is just incredible, your advice have opened up my mind, we wanna get married this year September and I find this information very helpful thank you
We married right after we turned 23 and have been married for 25 years. Best decision ever. We were living together before that but waited until we were both done college to marry.
My boyfriend and I met in a cafe he's currently stationed in my town in Texas he's originally from Tennessee and he's being re-stationed to Alaska this summer he's been bringing up marriage because he says he doesn't want to leave me in Tx we're both 21 I wanna say yes and leave everything to be with him but I'm also scared I'll be so far away from home from my family and friends and everything I've ever known I'm so torn on what to do because I don't want to live without him either we'll officially be together one year in July
Me and my wife got married young as well she was 22 and i was 23 i tell you you grow as a person in marriage also growing together is a beautiful thing
Generally speaking, Americans do marry early. Honestly, I think it's ok to be ENGAGED to someone early but not sure about marriage. Taking words of wisdom from the experts out there, marriage is better off in your early 30s. Maturity of mind, nest wealth, job stability, and supporting kids(they are expensive). Especially if you live near a city in the west coast. Unless of course, you are one of those military households...feels bad to the wife.
I am about to become a marine wife this January. I am almost 19 and I loved this video!!! It really gave me confidence because I was nervous at marrying him so young. Is there any advice you can give about living on base? Like rules, regulations, and important information I have to know?
I meet my first love at 13 we didn’t have alot of time together Bc I live in New York and he loves in Haiti it was sad I had to leave and go back to New York we got separated five years I lost him now I meet him again 2020 age 18 now I’m 19 we want to get marry Bc we’re still in long distance relationship but I don’t know if it good idea Bc we’re still young

Be careful Britt, it’s great to be married young , I’m married myself at 27 and I needed the time to have the crazy fun experiences. Watch out for the mid-life crisis at 40. It’s not if it will happen, it’s when.
How Did You Work Through Learning How To Do Financial Things In Your Marriage ? I Got Married A Littlejohn Over A Month Ago & I’m 17 ( I’ll Be 18 In December) & My Husband Is 19 ( Will Be 20 In October ) . One Thing We Struggle W/ Is Our Finances Because We Dont Know A Whole Lot About All Of The “Adult” Things .
I’ve been looking for something like this for a while! This #milso is really excited to get married now! Can you do a video on making on base housing feel like home? Thanks for all your videos! I love you and all your content! God bless! Go navy 💙💙
Do you go to school? I ask because my fiancé is go back to Florida after his leave for some time and he wants me to move with him over there but I am just scared because I want to go to school. Can I just go to school there?
In one of my very first videos I talk about college and jobs, if you haven't watched it! I'm not in school anymore. I graduated in 2016, but my husband and I lived apart our first year of marriage so I could finish my last year. It was hard. If you have the opportunity to go to school where he is, once you are married, that is easier!
This is so true! I’m getting married when I’m in my early 20s is because he’s getting a doctorate and we’d have to wait until he’s 26 before he’s finally done. I think this helps a lot because I’ve seen older couples fail miserably and young couples do the same. It’s work and it doesn’t matter how old you are.
Brittani I've been watching your videos for a while now and THANK YOU so much for your content!! You seriously inspire me so much and I hope that I am able to have a channel as helpful and successful as yours one day :) my boyfriend is 5ish weeks into Marines bootcamp and we know we want to marry each other! Right now we are both 19 :) thank you for these videos! I am so thankful that you are a voice of truth and life speaking into the world
Girl focus on yourself my daughter saved up 2000 last year and we’re heading to Austin in May... don’t be rush to get married.... my daughter is 22 and she is not ready to get married at all...
This is hard for me because my parents are against young marriage and I want to marry young and it’s a constant battle between my parents and idk what to do:(
I am 20 and have been single for almost 2 years and I was in a 2 year toxic relationship. Through my times I have had my best guy friend from middle help me and he’s like me and I’ve liked him. We have been talking for 2 months and he’s liked me for while and I have asked him and he said he likes me more then a friend and that he has already fallen for me and he is in he coast guard.
So I don't know how much experience you have had with MILSOs in Special Forces(other couples) but I'm going to basic in July with a SWCC contract and I was just wondering if you had any experience with those sort of couples and what advice you could give us. It would be greatly appreciated! Btw I really enjoy your videos!
Caleb Hare I’ve been in barracks with divers, seal, and swcc contractees. It will defiantly be very difficult most of your time will be spent working out and in the classroom. It takes as much communication as you can give each other. Which is usually during the night. Just don’t give up on each other and talk to them when you can.
Caleb Hare btw, if anything goes wrong and you can’t be swcc. Go gunners mate and go for expeditionary or work with eod. You will thank me for it. I’ve seen a lot of buds drop outs and guys that lose their contract because they get hurt and they would choose gunners mate and now they are working with eod, seals, and swcc. I have a few friends I went to gunners mate a school with and they told me they love it.
I think I'll pass. I want to get established first in my career that I went to school for, developed personal and professional growth and see the world and meeting different people and cultures before getting married.
Don't ever marry someone who was married before because they bring their past problems into the marriage and that can really damage the new relationship
I’m 29 years old woman and I Well never get pregnant or married and I don’t have children on my own and I got my tubes tied and I’m staying single forever
LOL I would love to see a guy, preferably 20-30 make this same video, and then do a follow up video about 3-6 years later IF they are still together...holy shit, cant hold it in anymore LMAO
InspirebyKhan Well my husband has a channel also so I can ask him if he can do a video like this! We’ve been married 3 years so I’m sure he has his own opinions!

Getting married before 20 is a problem but after 20 the brain develops and the only reason other people say it's wrong is basically because getting married early you can't sleep around any more and honestly why do you want to sleep around just like that why hookup just like that? That's not adventure that's just wasting time.
Your videos definitely help me process the feelings of dating a deployed man. Thank you for producing such great content!
Glad you liked it 😊
My husband & I got married when he was 23 and I was 25 and you are so right!
Shout out to being an older wife! My husband is 25 and I'm 28!
Susalka Luczek heck yeah!!! 🙌
Hold on, couldn't you find the same pros and cons in a long term relationship that you started young? What separates your definition of marriage to just having a domestic lover?
I’m 23 years old and will be proposing my girl at the end of this year she is 24 I’m happy to marry the girl of my dreams.
Gangg💯‼️‼️
What a great and true video. Fellow young military wife !! Love you and your videos girl!!
This is one of my favorite videos from you 💙 I found myself saying yess to everything you mentioned lol
Yay! So glad you liked it 😊
Thank you for your advice. I’m in a courtship with my military man. #Navy

Wow, my grandpa married my grandma when he was 19 and my grandma was 16, and he was in the army.
I needed this today! You’re amazing 😊
Great video! Have an awesome safe night! God bless!
My mum got married at 19
I am about to become a marine wife this January. I am almost 19 and I loved this video!!! It really gave me confidence because I was nervous at marrying him so young. Is there any advice you can give about living on base? Like rules, regulations, and important information I have to know?
my mom got married at 19 and had me at the age of 20
Im 20 and just engaged
Awesome!

OMG ur just like me!!! I Meet my husband at 15 now 23 got married at 19 and he was in the USMC for 4 years and I COMPLETELY agree with you!!
This is like me right now hehe like thats our age at the moment 19&25 and we're already thinking bout this. But im scared to let everyone know. Got any advice or say? Thanks hehe
God bless! Go navy 💙💙
Sure 😊 We have never lived in base housing but we have always rented so I can definitely do one! ❤️
Great video
This is an awesome video
Brittani I've been watching your videos for a while now and THANK YOU so much for your content!! You seriously inspire me so much and I hope that I am able to have a channel as helpful and successful as yours one day :) my boyfriend is 5ish weeks into Marines bootcamp and we know we want to marry each other! Right now we are both 19 :) thank you for these videos! I am so thankful that you are a voice of truth and life speaking into the world
Thanks! Glad you enjoy my videos 😊 Good luck with your channel!
these things make me sad because I am so single lol
thestaceofspade haha I’m so sorry it makes you sad. You can learn a lot in singleness too! 😊
Girl focus on yourself my daughter saved up 2000 last year and we’re heading to Austin in May... don’t be rush to get married.... my daughter is 22 and she is not ready to get married at all...
2000 dollars is not a lot of money, idiot!
This is hard for me because my parents are against young marriage and I want to marry young and it’s a constant battle between my parents and idk what to do:(
I'm an indian girl..people would call me loser for marrying young.
#MILSO right here, thank you for the advice!
Kassidee Cimmiyotti bruh .. sounds like i wrote this a lot myself
Jeremy T thanks Jeremy. Communication is definantly key!
Jeremy T thanks for the advice. I'll keep it in mind, but I don't plan on dropping or getting injured lol😂👍
I'd like to see your input 10 years down the line.
Thank you💕
If you are financially stable then marrying early is sensible.. !!
Definitely love you britt ❤️
I love all of your advice. I learn so much from you. Thank you ♥️♥️
You're welcome! 😊
You are really beautiful!
I wish all girls in the west were like you
I'm 21 and I wanna get married hahaha but I got o stable job so I guess, I'm sill gonna work my ass off for the next 5 years 🤣
I loved this video...
You’re 🔥🔥
I don’t understand why you mentioned the human brains doesn’t stop developing until after 25. Why base maturity from that?
I think I'll pass. I want to get established first in my career that I went to school for, developed personal and professional growth and see the world and meeting different people and cultures before getting married.
Married at 32
Don't ever marry someone who was married before because they bring their past problems into the marriage and that can really damage the new relationship
Lol I actually wanna marry at 20 and have kids early
are you Filipino? :)
Nope. Going to pass on this thought for another year or 3.
@5:00 they mean don’t you wanna experience s3x with multiple different people during all of those experiences😒
I 💘
Can I find women this intelligent? I am tired searching one.
I'M A MILSO TOO! + 20 Y/O
I’m 29 years old woman and I Well never get pregnant or married and I don’t have children on my own and I got my tubes tied and I’m staying single forever
Pros: Being a woman. Cons: Being a man.
Brit+Con it was a joke, tell him NOT to EVER make a video like this, leave it to you lol. Good luck to you two 😎✍️*cough sign the Prenup dude**
Well I’m sorry you’ve had some bad relationships in your life that you don’t know what a good healthy one looks like. Hoping you find one, one day!
InspirebyKhan LMAO you’re sooooo jaded dude 😂 no wonder all the good wife-material women probably stay away from you
Getting married young = no gonna work well, because in ur 20s ur young and wanna live a bit, parties , clubs ect, u will find someone else ...... U will break up anyways .
I dont like parties or getting drunk so ots wrong what you're saying
everyone isnt the same lmfao- tell that to vanessa bout her & kobe.
