The Fiat 500 Electric 3+1 Debuts As More Practical Mini EV compared to its normal electric version.
Fiat says this new and more practical version of the electric city car has been designed for people who have families and many different tasks to cover on a daily basis. It is being described as “all-new, all-electric, and with an extra door” but “always 500.” It’s basically the same car you saw in March this year but with an added small door on the passenger side. Yes, there’s no door at the driver’s side.
The good news is the maneuverability of the 500 hasn’t been compromised as the 3+1 one version has the exact same dimensions as the standard 500e. Interestingly, there’s also no difference between the size and shape of the passenger door between the 500e 3+1 and the 500e. The trick here is that what is a solid fender piece on the standard car transforms into a small door that has hinges at the back.
Fiat notes that the new door doesn’t impact the handling and energy consumption of the car despite the fact that it adds 66 pounds (30 kilograms) to the overall weight. It’s also worth pointing out that the small rear door can be opened only when the passenger door is opened as a safety measure.
Sales of the new 500 Electric 3+1 will begin with a special La Prima launch series, which has rich standard equipment, including adaptive cruise control, full-LED headlights, traffic sign recognition system, 360-degree parking sensors, parking camera, and more. Fiat is also launching three different trim levels for the regular 500 - Action, Passion, and Icon, offering a different mix between a battery pack, electric motor, equipment, and customization options. - Авто та транспорт

The car is OK, but central display user interface and graphics is rated zero, from 1-10! It is hard to read/type and firmware should be upgraded immediately before customers give their assessment.

I never thougt i would hear fiat and rolls royce in the same sentence like that... But I have experience with 70's and 80's fiats... First a 127 and later an ritmo abarth, i loved those cars! So fun to drive. It was heartbraking when they fell apart and rusted away.... And I realy tried to take care of them... Norway can be hard on cars...

If you did not studied design, and most of you probably didn't, and you want to define it.. This car is that definition. Find a solutions for functional issues without compromise aesthetics and at the end actually improve it. Classic european art at his best.

@@raf4027 wouldn't call a Mini a minicar anymore though, its a full sized hatchback. Imo, the Alfa Romeo MiTo is a pretty car to see aswell, but Fiat absolutely nailed its design with the 500 for sure.

hmmm suicide doors. thats nice addition to this. getting in and out of rear seats is easier this way and safer for kids, as they can't open the doors until the front is opened
have you heard about rear door child lock? this is a horrible design for a utility vehicle.
@@MrBazsi888 why this wont be an issue in my opinion. This is a city car. Accidents in cities almost always happen at low speeds (50kmh/30mhp).

I love this car and I love the color ocean green (which really looks like petrol blue to me)-but damn, rose gold looks so much nicer than I thought from the FIAT website! The faux wooden paneling also looks great: very calm and understated and not at all tacky as I thought
