This has to be the most random crossover of genres I've ever seen and I'm all here for it. Guess I'm forced to listen to the corresponding album anytime I run a dungeon.
I agree with pretty much every album pairing, but a part of me couldn't handle in rainbows not being paired with Ghosts of the Deep purely so Weird Fishes could be played during transition sections.
as fellow pit of heresy and radiohead enjoyer thank you. now i need to run all dungeons with matchng albums (also amnesiac is best album in human history)
I tried putting together a list before watching to see if they'd match up, I hope you don't mind me posting it here + why I chose them :3 The Shattered Throne - A Moon Shaped Pool This one really needs no explanation, but the atmosphere of both the dungeon and the album match up. Almost as if walking through someones memory and fragmented reality. Pit of Heresy - Kid A I really enjoy the electronic influence in Heretical Omen and by extension the whole of Garden of Salvation, and I thought this lined up nicely with the change in direction Radiohead made with Kid A in their incorporating a more electronic sound. Prophecy - In Rainbows It's bright, it's colourful, rainbow road. That's about as far as the thought went if I'm honest. Grasp of Avarice - Hail to the Thief I feel like this kind of follows the vibe of Avarokk's decent into obsession with the riches in the dungeon. I don't know much about HTTF, but it just feels right to me? Duality - Amnesiac Moving through Calus's mind and it's chaotic nature reminds me of how complex and chaotic Amnesiac can be, with few moments of rest and to recollect your thoughts. Spire of the Watcher - Pablo Honey I think community opinion on both the dungeon and the album kinda line up. Like it's not bad? But they're almost like the forgotten entries. Ghosts of the Deep - The Bends Purely based on the name and that we're underwater a lot in Ghosts. The contrast of high energy and subtlety throughout the album imo mirrors the how it's like running through Ghosts, lots of action in encounters followed by pauses in the water. Warlord's Ruin - The King of Limbs Some of the ambient sounds and stings in Warlord's always felt like what could be experimental sounds used in the King of Limbs. I don't know why but I also appreciate the tempo of the album and it feels to me to fit the idea of climbing, either literally or mentally. Vesper's Host - OK Computer You're surrounded by technology, you're talking to an AI that seems to be sad realising they are alone, and a remnant of humanities golden age which seems a lil dystopian to me.
Both really good albums that I listen to at least twice a week but they just can’t compare to the bends/amnesiac for me 🤷 we’ll have to agree to disagree

I wish every video in my feed catered exactly to what I want to see as much as this one

I was really thinking about it but I thought that the vastness of ghosts fit amnesiac better overall (but weird fishes would’ve been pretty funny)
Absolute crazy combination of interests but I'm all here for it
Radiohead best band ever
this is the best video ever made
D2 and Radiohead two of my favorite things 🤩
bro these yt reccomendations are getting too accurate
Stop everything, Pit Of Heresey Enjoyer just uploaded
Too much radio, not enough he-
Me core
i always thought of making an edit of Duality to House of Cards, but i think overall Amnesiac fits Duality better than In Rainbows
It was a tough call for me but I think you may be right, weird fishes was probably better suited to ghosts
