Having watched Ferdi the last 2 seasons as a season ticket holder, he is fantastic! He puts in such a good defensive performance making sure he gets back but when he goes forward he links up with players so well and is unprodictable for the opposition
real ones remember John O'Shea, and how important he was for the 02/03 title. This is the type of signing that can reduce our squad size, salaries and give us consistency on the bench
the chip vs the invincibles, megging figo, all whilst looking like paddy mcguiness had been asked to put a shirt on from the crowd. nothing but respect for my GOAT.
John O'Shea is a legend. Denis Irwin was a versatile player until eventually settling at left-back. Phil Neville possibly played more positions than O'Shea. Who knows. Perhaps Kadıŏglu could play left-back until his 30s and move into holding midfield like Zanetti and Lahm did.
@@wolfpackpete6408 It's not possible to play more positions as O'Shea. You can only equal his number of positions. He literally played all positions on the pitch, no exaggeration.
While I would prefer full backs to play on their stronger foot (left-footed LB, right-footed RB), when I watched Kadioglu vs Georgia, it struck me that he plays with a Robertson mindset: Aggressive getting forward with the ball, and aggressive in his defending
so nothing to do with why you mentioned him playing with his strong foot? Absolute clown, i wasted precious seconds and brain cells reading your clown comment
You should definitely check out the duo games he played with Tadic in the 23-24 season. Also, Ferdi's moves were quite impressive in the Ferdi-Tadic-Fred-Szymanski setups.
Saman Ghoddos played every position for Brentford, we signed him as a striker, he became a winger /cm in the next few seasons, in his last season he played rb and lb due to injuries, and in his last game for us he got subbed on at lcb😭
I would prefer him to Mazaroui. I like the versatility. United has so many injuries so it would be good to have a Swiss army knife that can fill in everywhere. He also can pass and dribble which are skills that would be welcome at the club.
interesting point. united have also been looking to get a left back, in that way. he would be perfect as he can be 3rd choice left back and 2nd choice rb
Maybe buy a proper left back instead of a right footed one😂 the only respectable fullback at united is Dalot which says alot sinces hes just a passion merchant
I rate him so highly. Probably one of the best drivers with the ball in the sport currently. So exciting and can like you said just play ANYWHERE. Would be sad to see United get such a good player.
we'll get him after sell AWB, we'll have 4 versatile players in the defence, Dalot and him can play both flanks, Shaw can play CB and Martinez can play the left side of defence and DM.
I'm a United fan and this excites me more than all of our other signings/targets. Even if he is only a Europa league level player, his versatility would be so valuable for less than £30 million.
@@jj18365 It gets me excited because it shows we are targeting versatile players and more importantly a full back that can support a winger on either side. Both Amad and Rashford need an overlap. As I said, even if he isn't good enough to play in the champions league, a player who gives us a profile that we don't have is very important. Also, Yoro being an elite CB in his first season in the premier league is unlikely and will cost twice Kadioglu price. And then Zirkzee is talented but doesn't have a good smell for goal and is still a work in progress.
Nice to see someone of my beloved little club (NEC Nijmegen) doing so well. Usually when a player of our club is showing some potential and he’s had a good season, you know he’ll be sold, because we can’t keep him. That’s the curse of supporting a small club. And it happens all the time and every year. But nothing is more frustrating than to see them leave after they had a brilliant season for us and then never hear anything from them again. ❤️💚🖤
Very good analysis. People call him "ice man" because he doesn't affect from any negative mood. He never lose his motivation. He always does his job perfectly.
As long as the football rules stay the same (which I am not in favor of, but that is a different topic), I think that the football tactics will include more and more strong on ball players in the back line. Not just strong on ball in terms of passing, but the dribbling as well. Football tactics are kind of solved at the moment, that is why we saw such a large percentage of passes made in the back line for all of squads at euro. We need to make some comparisons with Futsal here, most skillful players in terms of 1v1 dribbling are played in the back/flanks, because that is where you can create an advantage since the pitch is smaller, you need to create the space between the defensive players. Football philosophy preaches that wingers should do that, BUT since athletic side of the game allowed teams to play huge amounts of players behind the ball on defense, we are seeing more and more wingers squaring their defender upon ball receival, just to see 8-9 defending players in a third zone of the field, and to make a decision to move the ball backwards. So what my guess is that in order to utilize the space between the defensive lines, more and more teams will start playing inverted dribbling backs in the future, where they can have that 1v1 vs the winger and they can start the snowball effect after dribbling past him inside the central areas of the field. Ferdi Kadıoğlu is a great prototype of that idea.
As a United fan i would love to sign this guy. The versatility would be great in our injury prone defence to give options with Dalot and Shaw as he can play either side. Very tenacious and i loved watching him at the Euros. Just looks like a really good modern fullback. Also wasnt he born in Netherlands which seems to be a requirement for a United player these days, could see it happening as surely wouldnt cost a fortune either
The Fenerbahce player, who decides to run free while everyone else is standing still, so Ferdi Kadioglu can pass to him, is Arda Güler btw. He was wearing the number 25 in 21/22 season.
Sağ bek , sol bek oynar . 8 e koy oynar . Gençliğinde Hollanda genç milli takımında 10 numara pozisyonudaydı. Enerjisi asla bitmez .Saygılıdır . Çok iyi bir transfer yaptınız .
One thing you missed about his position change is that at the start of the season, the team was set up to play with three defenders at the back. So, they didn't sign anyone to cover the traditional left and right back spots. Later, when the managerial change happened and the new manager wanted to play four at the back, they just converted Ferdi and Bright Osayi into fullbacks. Then, another manager came in and shifted Ferdi into a half-back role, like Trent or Gutierrez at Girona. Under Jorge Jesus, he became more of an inverted fullback. Another managerial change and now Ferdi is a full-on wingback. That's also how the national team coach used him. It all happened accidentally, and he's just one of the lucky ones who survived people who had no clue what to do with him.
Under the likes of Erol Bulut, Ferdi Kadıoğlu, a natural attacking player, was relegated to the bench at Fenerbahçe. His future at the club seemed uncertain. However, Vitor Pereira's appointment marked a turning point. Pereira's tactical shift to a 3-4-3 formation and his decision to convert both Ferdi and Bright Osayi-Samuel into wing-backs proved to be a masterstroke. Ferdi Kadıoğlu, in particular, thrived in this new role, showcasing his versatility and becoming a key player for the team. It's fair to say that Ferdi owes much of his development to Pereira's coaching.

LB has been a real problem for Man Utd and I think he would have been a fantastic buy gor them, however I think the style of football Brighton play will suit him better and its a great move for him. Its good he is so versatile because Brighton already have one of the best left backs in Pervis Estupinan who combines so well with Mitoma and should hold down that LB position once back to full fitness, so it will be very interesting where and how Brighton utilise Kadıoğlu.
