Thanks! Believe it or not, that wrong warp is actually possible on console in runs. MGA managed to get it first try if I remember correctly in his run.
Yeah, because of the escape flag being set, even though BT was never killed, the animals will be in the room in its place. There are OoB x-ray setups I could do to turn off the escape, but I'd have to avoid turning off boss/miniboss kill flags (to be true RBMBO) while doing so, which I wasn't able to do in some of the testing I've done. Also I think it's more fun to just beat the game rather than make two detours to landing site out of bounds to turn off and on the escape.
You may not see this but is there a way you could manipulate the game into thinking the escape isnt there so you can fight torizo and then go back to making the escape sequence happen again or is it impossible?
Awesome TAS! At 45:53 is it possible to somehow start this spark in the hallway so you can stop automatically at 29 energy and not have to run back at the Moat door? Or would that mess things up later?
Probably not with the health I had, but if I took a hit from phantoon it'd work. The only problem that could cause is needing to do more farming for the hellrun to croc, which there is already a bit of. I could see that being faster though with some good farms.
In the vanilla game, Gravity suit will do everything Varia does, just with the added benefit of free movement in liquids, so with only Gravity suit, you would be able to go through heated areas and lava without taking damage.
Bomb torizo isn't done because I don't have a setup to turn off the escape flag without messing up boss death flags (making them technically alive), and yeah, unfortunately you can't microwave gold torizo.
Invincibility timer still ticks down while XRay scope is active. Plasma can hit multiple times. Turning on and off XRay lets you hit more times. The same thing is done against Botwoon and Phantoon

Why don't you use the pause trick when refilling at an energy recharge station? Does it mess up the glitches you have going?
pausing to use energy refills ends up slower, since pausing takes a good amount of time
