It's crazy how they all look like completely different characters even though it's literally the same line art. 👍
I was just thinkin that
I like who positive you are
moody moonie me too!
Yeaah it is!! But I think that these kind of things are good ways to practice with your art skills! This way you can focus more on the colours than the design itself!
Just a small tip: The green colors are probably there as a skin undertone. Like how some have an olive undertone, others have a rosey undertone, etc. That’s just my thinking about the greens and green-ish yellows! (Other wise, I’ll just be as confused as well.) That’s just my thought on them! I love your content, and it *ALWAYS* puts a smile on my face. Keep up the amazing work! ❤️
Quicktio I think the same and came to either find a comment or make this comment! Spent the whole video thinking layer the green!!!!!
Thank you, I wish she maybe would have put some thought into how undertones work seeing as this is a video about coloring skin tones. But hey, simple mistake.
I thought it was for goblins
I think you might also be able to use many of the Colors also as hair tones
As someone with an olive undertone…This. I was yelling for her to layer that dang green in my head. Wish she did, but it’s cool.
I wasn't feeling some of the girls when they were just skin tone but after you completed the hair and shirt they really came together.
Thats how I feel
It’s crazy how you need all elements of a piece for it to truly feel completed
Wow it has more variety that the tarte foundation set :)
lmao! the shade!
haah. get it? ok, well i agree, but also?? could be better still.
Or an Estee Lauder one...
💀💀💀
Lmaoo
Oh snap. 🤣
i’m very fair and i wish they created a pale skin tone that wasn’t too yellow. i would like to have a marker shade similar to my skin tone! but im happy that they included some yellow toned markers because i was a little disappointed in the selection of yellows in the 72 brush market set. i bought this set because i love ohuhu markers and the brush nibs :) great video, you did such a good job showcasing the colors
i'm not very fair, but i totally agree with you! i don't want yellow characters all of the time!!
I use copics for those skintones! Copics and spectrum noir are the only markers I've tried that makes decent light skintones (Haven't tried touch twin but they might have some too)
Pttias i bought a few copic ciao markers that had lighter skin tones. i was going to order copic sketch markers but WOW they’re expensive
i have the set, buy it yesterday and my colors are lighter and not so yellow. Maybe they change the colors?
i just use a rosy undertone for it
I was looking on amazon, and i was like" Wait is that lucid neema's art?" then i noticed this was uploaded
Angelic Potato
I can’t find them on amazon
@@serrosii The link is in her description
I'd been wondering where that came from.
Angelic Potato
OMG TYSM 😭😭🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Omg- I’m getting these and I didn’t even notice-
I feel like the ohuhu 48 brush set has some decent medium and dark skin tones, I really wanted a light skin tone so I bought a single copic E00 and it is the perfect shade! Just another option if you don't want to buy the whole ohuhu set. 😀
I think that may be the way to go! Otherwise, anything close to a self-portrait would be in some bizarro world where I’m not light-sensitive and actually go out in the sun. 🤣
I wish there were more pale tones. I havent had good luck finding a really light almost Snow White shade- everything is too pink or yellowish
Black White I agree. I have a really pale pinkish skin tone and it can be so hard to find colors for
@@elijahelkwood5459 its weird I have a billion nice browns and almost like a tan leather colors but I draw a ton of anime so trying to find a pale tone without it looking like a banana has been impossible
Have you tried copic's skin tone markers? You can find them in the copic sketch and the copic ciao.
I really like 26 that they have in the other markers for pale tones, but sadly they didn’t carry it over
ikr. the only colors that remotely look good are the crayola crayon tones. Its really hard.
I really like the colors you used! Like their tops match their skin tone and hair! Oh it’s so aesthetic!
When I heard this set came out I was like nahh it's probably not worth it and a waste of my money but now I lowkey wanna buy them😂
roadie. fam Ohuhu is n.e.v.e.r a waste of money-
Brianna McLaughlin luckyyyyy xdd
Just a tiny mistake but you said bullet nib when showing the chisel nib, anyway love your videos!! ❤️😂
oh no lol I didn't even notice even while editing
Lucid Neema me neither
Maybe it's like the gold/blue dress thing. Hahaha. Just kidding!
@@YvesGeorgeSanchez or the yanny, laurel thing?? lol
@@cosmic.raspberri exactly! Lol
First black artist on UA-cam popping up in my suggestion page without specifically looking in all my years on UA-cam 😁👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Too many medium skin tones. I hope they'll expand the color selection eventually. Welp, I was never a fan of markers when it comes to skin tones cause they tend to be streaky anyways (especially darker shades). Nice video!
I'd say mix this with a copic skin tone set. Perfect variation, less colors to buy too
ohuhu sort of have a reputation of intense colors, nothing pastel and super light, very vibrant. it's hard to create lighter skin tones with intense colors because you have to layer. as for darker markers... you can layer, but it can ruin your paper, so i agree with you on that. i totally understand where you're coming from and agree that they should expand their skint tone range, but it is only a 24 marker set??
There seems to be quite a few dark tones. Or do you mean for lighter skin.
@@yorutsumetai i think they mean that darker shades look streaky.
Juliathebooknerd MT Ahh.. Perhaps it’s the brand?
I’m so glad you did this type of video, it gives us a better picture of what color combinations we could us.
Okay but they all look really good. Even though the last one that was a little pink ish looked really good at the end. Just... besides the flat out yellow one
OMG I was literally looking for a video like this because I’m about to start an art project and then you uploaded!
That's awesome!! right on time hehe
Good luck on your art project!
Asian people can have a yellow undertone in their skin...I not even Asian and those yellows would be pretty good for me to use on a self portrait
bravebucks that’s true. But she made that one straight up yellow, not even so much and undertone
Having an undertone and being legit yellow are two different things. I’m concerned if anyone is that shade; it could be jaundice.
I’m not jaundiced and I’m somewhere in that shade. Her style of coloring is just so flat that it doesn’t look too good.
bravebucks ok, maybe she isn’t the best but her coloring isn’t flat, and this is coming from a person that doesn’t know her and just saw this video because it was in my recommended. I think she didn’t know it was supposed to be an undertone, because the color is actually reeeeeaally yellow/greenish yellow. Everyone makes mistakes and she actually did a good job on the other ones.
Yes i think the other colors are undertones
First one is a 'anime' Simpsons character with that skin tone. Like the video so far, enjoy watching you work
All these skin tones make me think I'd love to see the W.i.t.c.h girls drawn in your style!
It really shocked and disappointed me how picky and rude people are being in the comments. "That's not what that's called" "didn't like them until they were finished" "the darker girls should have lighter palms poc deserve to be represented the way they look." Ummm the light girls have darker palms too. Also it's just color swatching. Geez just come enjoy art interpreted the way the artist likes it or go away or at least keep your rude comments to yourself. Beautiful video and art.
Yes my favourite skin colour is also lime
shhh people like to draw shreck
The last one actually looked really good once the hair color came in. Looks natural.
Have ever thought of making a colour book
The blending is amazing. I can't seem to blend very well at all.
Love this! I only recently started drawing again by sketching daily as a challenge after 4-6 years of not drawing at all, and I've beeb very interested in different skintones so this was such a nice video! Also LOVED the brown skinned girl with orangey hair, as it looked similar to a character I'm developing. Great video, also love your art style and your voice 😊
Kinda important note:
so I was looking for these on amazon, I found them and for one of the examples they used your artwork. There’s so credit to anyone and I don’t know if you gave any permission or if you care. I just thought it’s be nice to mention that
I think she knows about it, because the video was sponsored by ohuhu.
It’s so cool how many different skin colors people can have (:
I love seeing art supplies made to represent the incredible diversity of our species 💖💖💖
I couldn't agree more! The diversity of skin tones is truly amazing, and it's fantastic that art supplies now reflect that richness. It adds a whole new level of creativity and inclusivity to the artistic process.
Hi Lucid Neema I really have fun watch this video the girls turn nice but looked a little or of source until you color the tops and hair 👍🏽👍🏽👐🏽👐🏽👐🏽 I love the girl you use my I ask do you give out copies and you didn't share the tops or hairs colors I love them too do you remember them thank you so very much for sharing with us I love your art work and your color choices 👐🏽👐🏽👐🏽👐🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🔥🔥🔥❤️💕❤️💕
Your skill with those skin tones is seriously impressive; they look awesome!
You should upload your lineart so that others can colour them in and share their results for you online. This is only a suggestion, so please don't feel pressured 😊
Amber Mattewson she does though
I wish you did more content like this. I love learning about colors that blend well together. Skin tones are always very helpful as well. Love your positive attitude and content! ❤️
I'm actually impressed, didn't expect these great skin tones from ohuhu
I just want to point out for people who might not know, yellows would be better to add a yellow tint to skin if soneone has a yellowef skin tone. And the pinks and yellows are not for shading and highlight but to add tint to each skin tone. Like blush/pink-ish tones to the skin same with the yellow.
If you want to give advice so bad make your own damn video.
They're all gorgeous! I have to say the very last one is actually my favorite lol
i find it interesting how its the total opposite between makeup and art when it comes to color range. its so much easier to find beautiful dark skin tones in art than it is in makeup, and its much easier to find nice paler colors in makeup.
That’s it I know for sure I need these ;_______;
I‘m really happy, because my mom said that she’ll let me get these ^^
the 2nd and 4th ones were my fav for the skin tones
Love the skin tone set! Love you Neema! Keep it up *_Gurl!_* ❤️❤️❤️
I would consider this purchase but are there some of the same colours as the 48 set it looks very autumn themes
I purchased the ohuhu 48 pack and most of the duplicates have already ran out of ink since i use them so much
The girl on the first page on the bottom left is so pretty,,, the orange top looks so good on her 🥺
oh my gosh. I love this video so much. Thank you for doing each one and showing how it how you work in your process.
I definitely want to get this set. I love my Ohuhu brush markers!
the hair really brought the last one together, they’re all stunning
Honestly with that last one you did the moment you shaded her hair and clothing the skin tone shading was way less in your face and blended quite nicely once dried down!!
Ooh the hair made that last one POP! I also adore the fifth one! 😍
Thank you for doing this!! I just got my own markers and I’m learning how to blend and what skin tone goes with which and this helped a lot!!
You're welcome! Happy to help.
These all look amazing! You blends are so superb!
Thank you!!
와, all of the skin tones are so pretty!👏👏
This was so helpful!! I just ordered this set for myself and I can't wait to try it out. Very pretty colors, and a wide range of skin tones.
I'm so excited. I just got my 24 skin tones and 48 regular color alcohol markers from Ohuhu yesterday. I'm dying to try them out soon. Still practicing with cheaper markers to build up my skills. So my new goal (and motivation) is finishing up with the cheaper markers and work up to the Ohuhu markers!
Again. I can't wait to try them. I've read many reviews and many UA-cam videos and nothing but great reviews about these amazing markers!
My new kitten really loves your videos!
Definitely buying these when I have money, I’ve been very focused on digital art but I super duper really miss ohuhu art 😅
I love the colors in this set and you made some really pretty skin tones but imo there could have been 1 or 2 lighter shades
Honor Phone I agree I think the yellows were unnecessary but that’s just my opinion
@@SarasStudio maybe someone could use the yellows to asian people, but like the yellow looks like green so
Sara Bethie Yeah I agree, I guess they could be an excuse for “lighter shades” since Ohuhu has a hard time making lighter shades (because I guess they cost more and Ohuhu is a cheap brand) but you can’t really do anything with that kind of yellow when it comes to skin tones (hair is understandable but it’s a skin tone pack) because skin isn’t really yellow which some beginners might not understand.
웃bec that’s what I thought
Tiktok World ikr?? I wouldn’t want yellow in a skin tone set
I love your intuitive approach with making these skin tones! Great video! I’ve never used ohuhu markers before
beautiful, and awesome job!! thank you so much
My mother was amazed by your art she bought me thise markers and the ohuhu 120 set for your video
All of them are very good
I’m surprised at the number of comments with people being critical of your color choices, the palm colors, the chisel nib comment. I feel like people are more critical of artists of color. She did a great job, her work is beautiful and MUCH better than probably ALL of these mofos commenting. If y’all want to offer advice so bad make your Own videos and open yourself up to criticism. No need to keep commenting about the same little mistakes when you know there are several other comments like it already! You guys are nothing but some trolls!
I LOVE that yr8 color its so prettyy
It was pretty cool seeing you ise the skin tones, not just swatching. When I want to know how well skin tones will do, it's better to see all of them used. Do you have videos using any other brands of skin tones? Thank you for your efforts 🤗 ❤️👍🏽💯
I was waiting for your review😊 it would be cool if you did a video comparing them to the arteza skin tone set
Tysm for this ! Since out of all the artists your style is closest to mine , I am sure these will be perfect for me ! Thanks again !
Is the line art girls mouth open or close, I think I'm trippin
Open.
for sure.
I totally see what you mean but I think it’s supposed to be an open mouth showing the top row of teeth and the tongue, based on the way she colored it
Both lol. Sometimes she colors it in as just lips, sometimes open mouth, but the lineart by itself looks like a closed mouth.
Never mind! Ignore everything I said, I was wrong
Wait,
now I’m trippin
Who noticed she saiď bullet tip on rhe chizled tip? Not hating
I love the last one with the black bralette.
You had more diverse shade ranges than some makeup companies.
Wow how cute your drawings👍
I bought the 48 brush marker set, because of your video and I’ll get these ones too because of you ^w^
Did you guys notice that in the beginning, she called the chisel nib a bullet nib? Lol
Mistakes happen . We're human . It's called a slip of tongue for all you dumb guys .
nicee! i rly like this concept and how you walked through it. just a heads up, for darker skin tones our palms are usually lighter than the rest of our bodies :)
Awesome. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and process! It looks like they have a decently diverse selection.
I love ur style and i love how they all look :3
you sound so happy and natural💌☺
I got the 72 set of ohuhu brush markers and I use WG01, YR1, YR2, and BR1 as skin tones, they work good enough but I would love to get the skin tone set. I think WG01 and YR2 are my favorite for skin.
I guess too many people agreed about the yellow. I got the 24 skin set and now the color selection is totally different and full of orange and peachy tones(not one yellow based light tone.). I think the previous deep dark tones are also better than the new ones included now. There's neon orange that is throwing me off.
Love the video so much
I just ordered these markers and I can't wait for them to get here,,, they look so good!!!
I don't understand why people are so critical underneath this video. Keep up the good work girl 👏🏾👏🏾👌🏾👌🏾 I never see this much criticism or any at all for other art channel (🙄🙄🙄 that basically don't look like you) but I guess it is what it is. Loved the video
Omg! The blending and shading-
It's too cute
they do give a nice range of skin tones to use :)
I think they updated the colours now? They seem to have a colourless blender included
I feel like if it was marketed as a hair and skin tones set the yellows wouldn't be out of place
Agreed
14:18 the colors for the one at the bottom right remind me of Neapolitan ice cream lol
1:05you said a bullet Nib when it was a brush nib 😂😂😂
I feel highly inclined to get the ohuhu skin toned markers now LOL
Wow neema your getting everywhere now congrats!! I've seen you on Instagram, and more ads same as for amazon!! 😳😳😊😊
This makes a great cheat sheet. I love it!
Loves the variety you did! Amazing ♥️ keep it up 🌷
But the palms of peoples hands are always a light peach colour
some very nice colour combinations !
Love to see your videos, it relax me 😍
I really like the second one
Thank you for this!
Glad it was helpful!
My favorites are the 4th one on the first paper and the 3rd and 4th one on the second paper
Ohuhu can take my money
These look great ❤❤❤
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words. I'm thrilled that you think they look great! ❤️ 😊
If i buy the expensive copics for skin tone i chose only these 3 colors YR4 - YR and BR3 not necessary all these
1:04 it comes with a bullet nib ahahahahahaha
The last one is my skin tone 😂
