Some people are bashing her coz of her communication skills which in fact that way of her communication makes her unique. That's a real Filipina. We are from the Philippines and we should have our own identity, own culture and that includes own accent. Pia is so real. She is truly representing Philippines. I'm so proud of you Pia and even foreigners love you because you are so unique.

She really exemplifies a true Filipina. The way she speaks and articulates her words with a slight and adorable accent that can only be Filipino -- peppered with English words here and there.

This woman is so smart, very talented, very beautiful. She is only not representing the Philippines but the Universe for being finesse, very humble, and with good public speaking. For the haters, I am sorry but they should take something from this being with a contextual meaning. She symbolizes peace, love, humbleness, perseverance and more. For those who can't accept, someday you will realize what a true life is all about or if you can't, you will miss that gain. Good luck Miss Universe 2015. Your reign I bet be fruitful, be full of meanings and the Universe will never forget you!!! That's heavenly gift. I am with you, with your wonderful platforms such as HIV management, against Cyber-bullying and the support for the victims of natural disaster. If you could add one more, work with someone who is honest and powerful in the Philippines who can eradicate corruption of the Government, that will be amazing. Wishing that these corrupt officials will wake up now, having that crown in the Philippines that brings honor and pride. GOOD LUCK!

The last time I was here in this hotel was during the press conference of my send off (oh my gosh I didn't wanna cry!) and I was very emotional that day and I kept babbling on about how long it took me to.. finally have a send off of my own and I'm so happy that I'm back here today for this. That I'm back here for a Press Conference because I actually won. I'm so proud that I was finally able to bring back home the crown. I've always believed that it could happen and it was a long journey getting here. I hope that I can become an inspiration(or) my story can become an inspiration of determination, discipline, faith and hard work. I hope even after the Miss Universe Pageant,\, I hope people learn this lesson from me; never to give up on their dreams because you never know (you never know) it could happen to you. So, I'd like to share my experiences during the Miss Universe Pageant (you know, you've always known me to be a talker anyways) So.. (giggle) The most memora.. I guess the two most memorable parts of the pageant for me was the first time they pinned the sash on me. I remember I was the first one to register that day, during registrations. A lot of the girls were in the Pageant already in the hotel. I think the call time was 10 AM to start the registration and I was there around 9:45 and I was sitting there waiting for them to open the doors. So I was actually country no. 1. So it's not true that there is "Filipino time" because I was (very) on time! (giggle) And then, we did the fittings and I spot my sash from afar and I'm thinking "When are they gonna pin it on me?" and then finally they did. I had to step away a little bit to find a mirror because I wanted to see what I would look like with a sash that says [PHILIPPINES] 'cause I've always wanted to have one and then I just took up (a) photographic memory of me wearing that sash. I remember I kinda hugged myself and I think I wasn't friends with the candidate beside me yet and I just went to her, (and said) "I'm so happy!" (giggle) I still have all my sashes by the way, I kept them in a safe place. They're my.. um..(they have sentimental value now) They're a bit dirty but they're still with me. And, so that's the first memorable.. uh.. the first, that's one of the memorable moments for me. And the next one is, during the Pageant when I was walking during the evening gown competition especially during the part with Seal, and I was wearing that beautiful blue (Albert Andrada) gown made by a Filipino designer. I'm so proud! By the way (Let me just sway the topic a bit) I'm so happy that we're finally able to wear Filipino designer in Miss Universe. It's something that I was looking forward to for a very long time and I'm happy that it happened (without being forced) (I prayed for it to happen) and it happened. It was, I didn't have, I didn't force.. It just happened, and I'm so happy! So..(Back to my story) (giggle) I was walking with the blue gown, and in every corner of Planet Hollywood, of the Axis Theater there was a Philippine flag in every corner. And then I was wearing the sash with (that says) [PHILIPPINES] I remember walking on stage and ~I'VE NEVER BEEN MORE PROUD TO BE A FILIPINA~ (during that moment) I kept telling myself that I've made it this far whatever the result's are gonna be, nobody's gonna.. "nobody can't take away (this) moment from me." I was so proud and to be back here now with this (CROWN) (I hear the cameras clicking) (the flashes of camera) to be back here now with the Crown is the "happily ever after" that I've been dreaming for.. for a lifetime. It's not just my dream but it's the dream of every Filipino. I'm so proud, I'm so happy (speechless)

I cried when she gets emotional talking about her send-off before she departed for Las Vegas...I maybe wrong, but from what I learned there were only 2 TV crew and a few loyal friends & fans..Nobody believed in her when she left to compete..Look at her now!
