    Racism: US rapper Meek Mill plans to acquire Ghanaian citizenship
    American rapper, Robert Rihmeek Williams, professionally known as Meek Mill, has announced his plans to acquire Ghanaian citizenship.
    Meek Mill made this known in a post he shared on his X handle, on Tuesday, March 5.
    He wrote: "I wanna get citizenship in Ghana!!!! America made to tear black men down if you don’t follow orders!
    "Africa don’t got this sh*t I’m getting dual citizenship if they let me."
    The rapper also urged black people in America to make sure that black culture holds a strong hold on who they vote for in the next US presidential election or lose black history.

    Meek Mills needs to understand that Ghana has its own rules and regulations which he has to follow if he wants to live there. He won’t face the racist oppression that he faces in the U.S., but there will be other challenges. Wishing him the best.

    I researched and fell in love with Ghana. I almost bought 2 plots of land about 6 months ago but delayed.
    You have something special there and that is why I want to leave. For those wishing to relocate America will soon ask you to sell your soul.

    Greetings brother! As a Pan Africanist and as an American descendant of ENslaved Africans who has visited Ghana 3 times and hopes to become a citizen of Ghana, I have a question for you. My question has NOTHING to do with the national bill to criminalize sexuality. My question is also not confrontational; just respectfully stemming from a desire to learn and understand. I’m asking because I heard you suggest many times that Diasporans who want to repatriate to Ghana should come and just accept things the way they are. Are you saying that IF I become a citizen and want to organize a campaign to help recycle waste and keep garbage off the streets and beaches, I would be rejected and doing something inappropriate and disrespectful to the culture? Again, just trying to unpack and understand. By the way, Meek Mill is NOT gay. He’s just an alien from outer space who does not like the violence in the US. LoL!

    Ekow, I saw the video where the Nigerian brother was clowning Meek Mill for asking that question. However, I think the question was misinterpreted. I think Meek Mill was trying to find out what streaming platforms are used in West Africa.
    As far as his post concerning the situation for Black people in America, if its that bad, and I believe it is, why dont Black people consider seeking asylum in Ghana? I haven't seen one instnce where someone has actually sought asylum, which is what one would actually do when being persecuted in their country of origin.

    • @goddesswarrior760

      How can Black Ascendants seek asylum when we get overcharged and barely get citizenship?

    • @hadibae
      @hadibae 2 місяці тому

      @goddesswarrior760 There are laws regarding the acquisition of citizenship in Ghana, just as there are laws regarding the seeking of asylum. This is not something that is impossible. As far as being overcharged, that really depends on how you look at things. Ghana is not the West. You are charged what people believe you can afford. This happens to ANYONE who appears to have means, including Ghanaians who are returning from the West. If you don't agree to an offer, make an offer that you believe is more reasonable or just decline and take your business elsewhere.

    • @goddesswarrior760
      @goddesswarrior760 2 місяці тому

      @@hadibae Ghana has made no public announcement to seek asylum to Black Ascendants only just to come home whatever that means. The so called laws for citizenship is hard due to the corruption and politricks. Ghana is completely lawless due to the high corruption that is known worldwide. Don't make excuses for overcharging as Ghana is very much like amerikkkka because the Ghana government get their orders from them.

    • @hadibae
      @hadibae 2 місяці тому

      @goddesswarrior760
      Why would Ghana have to make a public announcement regarding asylum? If America is as bad as everyone keeps saying it is, then simply find out the necessary procedures to seek asylum in Ghana (or anywhere else for that matter) and do it. There is a whole internet full of information regarding the procedure.
      The process of obtaining citizenship can be a challenge anywhere. Ask anyone who is attempting to acquire citizenship (or even a visitor's visa for that matter) to the United States LEGALLY and they will tell you how many years of disappointments they have had to endure and money they have lost. So Ghana is not unique in being challenging. They aren't just going to hand out citizenship wily nilly simply because you are a Black "Ascendant". Incidentally, I was just in Ghana last year, and there were over 30 diasporans who got citizenship on the same day. There was a huge ceremony too.
      Also, as far as corruption and politics, name me one country that doesn't have some level of corruption? I'll tell you what. I would rather pay a hundred cedis to a Ghana police officer than to pay with my life while dealing with a racial profiling, bigoted, enforcement official in the West.
      Also, Ghana is not lawless. Abeg, you exaggerate much. And it is not at all like America. Proof of that is the fact that you are complaining because they do not do things in Ghana like they do in America. However, America IS lawless. In fact, America uses the law to praactice and justify its lawlessness. Especially when it comes to Black Americans. The United States has been violating the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th amendment virtually since its inception way back in 1868. When Ghana starts violating the law in regards to Black Americans, then you can tell me how corrupt Ghana is.
      By the way, there are politicians, and then there are the Ghanaian people. The Ghanaian people have made it very clear that they do not want American foolishness and debauchery coming to their country and ruining the peace. You say that Ghana gets their orders from America. Did America order Ghana to pass the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill?

      @thehouseofsyrength: He didn't say that Ghana will or should punish homosexuals. Ekow, says that he has no problem with people's sexual preferences, but they shouldn't try to impose their lifestyle on the majority of African people. People in Africa and the Caribbean don't want America or Europe to tell them to change their legal system to accommodate homosexuality. The majority of people in those part of the world are Bible believers or traditionalist, and they don't support such behavior. However, such lifestyle has been with us since the beginning of time, and the Bible calls it an abomination. One day, we all will stand before God, and He and the Bible will be our Judge ⚖️.
