I don’t think that deluxe class will ever get scrapped, it is the cheapest option for a Transformers toy now after the cancellation of core class. There are still deluxe classes which do feel like old generations toys, it all has to do with wave budget mostly, wave 1 of AOTP has felt like a return to 2010’s Generations quality which is amazing!
@PlatinumKnight-je3vy meh I'd disagree with the quality. Even the best modern deluxes stress easier and have a less parts count then 2010 era. Wave 1 aotp deluxes besides solus really don't. Waspinator is tiny and clear plastic mid section and the aerialbots look really cheap in robot mode.
@Chrisjaam I’m gonna have to disagree, i think you’re blinded by nostalgia, inflation has rose 33% since 2014 and oil prices have doubled in said time, scout class IS the modern deluxe class old deluxe is now voyagers
Yeah I love how when people point out inflation they always respond with “but it hasn’t been enough to double the price”. Well like you said oil cost has risen exponentially which has inflated plastic costs a lot more, so of course it’s gonna cost a lot. I also feel like plenty of the newer deluxe figures are good or great. Such as the recent Cybertron Hotshot.
@@telaviefilms280 Yes I even touch on that in this video. Still doesn't change the fact that the quality has gotten worse despite price increases. The price increases are supposed to offset rising production cost but yet certain things don't add up when you compare. It has nothing to do with nostalgia its just facts seems like you just don't want to realize these newer figs despite being good still aren't the same quality as what Platinum was trying to say
Deluxe getting scrapped is a bad idea. It’s the most basic you can get. It was among the original size classes. We had Basic, Deluxe, Mega, and Ultra, and they would subsequently be joined by Super and Supreme. Some of these classes got renamed or just flat out removed. Legends would also eventually happen. - Legends: Lasted for so long, but was temporarily removed in 2019-2020, then got revived as Core, but only to be removed again. - Basic: Became Scout, subsequently got deleted. - Deluxe: Currently the ONLY remaining original size class. - Mega: Got renamed as Voyager. - Ultra: Deleted after Universe 2.0 ended. - Super: Got replaced by Leader as early as Energon. The leader class would then become… I guess divisive starting 2019. - Supreme: Got revived under the name Commander.
They aren't fading out deluxe... they're reducing the "amount they spend on each class" to maximize profits. It's all about giving the least amount while lining their pockets. They want to have toys in the types of price ranges to cater to all spenders. They won't get rid of one that can give them more profit. Unlike core class which i assume is not much of a profit margin at the end of the day.
really they should be a subclass. Like a Deluxe Preimum or Plus. so the size is deluxe... but they still are able to get some figures that need those extra parts, paints etc.. that they couldn't do with normal figures
I do kinda feel like there should just be more price points in general to account for size accuracy without diminishing the quality of one class as a whole
Deluxe class is no longer worth money. Here in Canada we’re paying 36 as of this moment. I regularly scroll through Amazon and some of the prices for Legacy and Studio Series deluxes are $41.39, I’m beginning to feel the price is going to rise to that for the retail, maybe I’m overthinking it but if that happens I just might drop collecting, at least for retail and online, second hand I’ll do but the prices have been outrageous for these figures I get the inflation nowadays but come on Hasbro, there is no need for these figures to be treated like they aren’t toys at the end of the day, it says 8+ on the box, not 30+ My main point here is they can charge 25 to 35 dollars for Nerf guns that are ten times the amount of plastic more than your average Transformers figure. Thank you all for reading and I do agree with you Chris on all your points about the quality and articulation could be improved significantly if the characters Hasbro puts in Deluxe class were moved up to Voyager class.
Subjectively I think Deluxe class has been in a better place than it has in years. Prime Season 3 was noticeably some of the worst Deluxe figure toys I think I have ever handled, and that led into AOE. Beast Hunters Knockout, and AOE Lockdown some of the last toys I bought before quitting all together were worse than anything I've experienced from Leegacy or SS in the last two years. Even the clear plastic on a lot of these recent figures don't feel as flimsy or cheap, and for a good long while every single toy had the awful plugged in wheels whereas with recent waves we're seeing more pinned on wheels. Shadowstriker is an interesting example as I just recently got the Sideburn release and though it would have been great to have the wheels pinned on this is still a solid Deluxe figure with smart engineering, great articulation/joints, and painted detail and feels worth the Deluxe price point. This toy wouldn't be possible at a Voyager price point because he has, and does everything he needs to as a Deluxe. Characters like Ironhide, Ratchet, and the upcoming Red Alert make a lot more sense as Voyagers as they are bigger vehicles, robot modes that would feel cheapened as a smaller figure and wouldn't scale properly. A Deluxe figure as a Voyager would feel exactly what Hasbro's doing with Leaders which is just to fill out the price point with more advanced engineering and more accessories when it should be more about the size designation than anything. Strip the accessories of any of the recent triple Changers, and Soundwave/Thundertron's in package accessory bots and you have two really expensive Voyager figures. Just my take anyway.
Eh it's not really the best, alot of them go on clearance. The more hard to find characters and best sellers are generally in leader and commander class
It would make more sense to scrap the core and titan class toys. They make more money with the deluxe class toys. And they are easier to put out in retail stores. Core class easily get stolen and titan class is too big to put on retail shelves plus they are too expensive.
Respectfully disagree, It would be nice to have some figures that don't have holes in them of course, But as transformer fans , we put up with a lot of stuff from the figures and holes are just one of them. Plus if you really start to think about it it's not that deep, Them canceling deluxe class to give us better figures while they sucker more money out of us is not the way to go.
What do yall think of the future of Deluxes❓️❓️❓️
Great hope we get deluxe demolisure
they are gonna stay

So we just forget about size and steal 😅😅😅
Deluxe class would be hasbros best seller, I doubt they would ever scrap it
Eh it's not really the best, alot of them go on clearance. The more hard to find characters and best sellers are generally in leader and commander class
Deluxe should be replaced with core. As they are the core of the line. Deluxe should be a core class with extra stuff
It would make more sense to scrap the core and titan class toys. They make more money with the deluxe class toys. And they are easier to put out in retail stores. Core class easily get stolen and titan class is too big to put on retail shelves plus they are too expensive.
I can't scrap the deluxe

Never going to happen.
Whats next voyager class?
