Hey, guys! Quick notice: I have been told there are leaks about Furina out there, so I need to make it clear that this is a LEAK FREE channel! Many people, myself included, don't enjoy having the story spoiled for them, so please refrain from commenting any leaks, otherwise I will have to remove your comment. Thanks for your attention! So, what are your thoughts on Furina, Focalors and Neuvillette?
they did the same thing for nahida, "lesser lord kusanali". the people seen her as a weak place holder then their archon of wisdom and didnt see her as their god.
Also, stop sticking your arse into Hoyos but shoulder deep. Leaks about archon kit spoils nothing about story. You greedy pig just scared of your income
I believe Furina is definitely an avatar of Focalors, like all the Eidolons and hydro animals being expressions of Oceanids and other beings. I think Focalors has split her body and consciousness across all of Fontaine and by extension Teyvat to protect everything from the Primordial Sea and Abyss, she is diluting the spread of Forbidden Knowledge with her own body. The Fountain of Lucine is stated to be where all waters of Fontaine passes through and that all waters of Teyvat originated from Fontaine, it is why the region is on a plateau, so that water can flow down to Teyvat. And within the Fountain, we can hear Furina's cries, she is clearly part of the water that is flowing into Fontaine and Teyvat. If you look at all Fontaine's world quests and characters, you'll see that they are all based around the idea that water can split and flow back together as one. Even as each drop of water becomes a different animal, they can reunite and still maintain individuality, that's talking about multiple personalities in a person. Furina as suspected by many people might have dissociative identity disorder, and it's because she has sacrificed herself by splitting herself up to protect Fontaine and Teyvat, she is using her own body to hold back the Primordial Sea and prevent it from rising and flooding Fontaine. By doing so, Furina is left to be seen as someone who's weak and pathetic, but in actual fact she is only a single drop left by the Archon who has been working extremely hard to protect her people. She spent 500 years tanking the Primordial Sea diluting it by turning her body and consciousness into the Sea of Fontaine itself. So much that she has lost almost all of herself, leaving just a single drop left, Furina. Much like Guoba and Rukkhadevata shrinking and losing himself, Furina is shade of her former self, she continues to love her people and even makes herself a clown to entertain them. Fontaine heavily references the bible, from Noah's Ark to the Leviathan, guess who's Jesus? Focalors has been sacrificing herself for the sins of her people and taking on the pain for them, delaying the Primordial Sea so that one day someone like the Traveler can help change things. She's very likely going to die for the sins of her people in the end and resurrect as her people's love for her flows into the sea and brings her back just like Jesus.
Although I agree with most of this, I'd like to reiterate that it's less Dissociative Identity Disorder and more an already singular consciousness split across different bodies. That's different from DID. This entire split personality thing is what puts me off the most when it comes to these theories and like the video essay mentioned, she's just faking her confidence and is more consistent than not (even then people with DID do have collective behaviors, since it's a neurological thing so it affects the whole system; their personalities do vary but they're still their own individual people) I would like to believe this scattered "body" of hers is what's causing Furina's instability because she is not _Whole_ and thus is essentially like someone with a still developing brain. I also want to put my own two cents on Furina herself and I thoroughly believe she IS a puppet (or golem, like how the essay mentioned) like how the Shogun is to Ei, so basically she is not far from being a figurehead in this speculative approach.
@@sekiezkogg One of the main reasons people think she has DID way back is because Furina is very likely based on Seele from Honkai 3rd, who developed 2 personalities after falling in to the Sea of Quanta, with both personalities in quantum superposition and existing at the same time. They have similar hair, ahoge, eyes, blue-white colour scheme, Seele is the one Honkai character always related to water, her manga arc is called the Dirac Sea Story, she was trapped in the Sea of Quanta, she's called the Daughter of the Sea etc. the similarities go on. It is also very likely why Fontaine has Pneuma and Ousia, because the Archon's power/authority has been split into half. Fontaine is the one region that deals with dualities the most, the Archon quest deals with right or wrong, true or false, light and darkness, the Yin and Yang of humanity and life.
@@GuyWithAnAmazingHat That makes sense but considering how DID is so dumbed down in media I find it still all the more ... uncomfortable? That that's a whole reason for people to assume both have DID when there's more than just that disorder that can result in "splits" and not in the way most think, eg. Bipolar, borderline
@@sekiezkogg If we're going into medical definitions, I don't think I'm qualified to talk about that level of technicality. But what Hoyoverse has always been great at is normalising the discussion and acceptance of mental health, allowing people to understand and be more aware of human psychology. Every single character is designed with aspects of mental health in mind, even NPCs carry various personality traits. I don't find it uncomfortable at all, in fact Hoyoverse games have raised the most awareness of mental health in all of gaming and that's great to me.
@@GuyWithAnAmazingHat That's a good perspective to point out, I appreciate it. I believe the reason I find it a bit unsettling is because I have DID so I try my best to thoroughly inform others on it and to not water it down (pun intended) as much as it is done in media, but I appreciate you putting that perspective into light. 🙂
I think neuvillette fits really well into his role, and I don’t think he would become the ruler so much as share that position, alternatively, he might take a role similar to dvalin, being friends with the guard and supporting her, but also doing his own thing
I have this theory that by the time Furina becomes playable, Focalors will merge with her and they will both keep their individual personalities in one body. This way players won't feel tricked by the game, they will still play as their beloved Furina and also as the Hydro Archon.
Well if you really think about it, the true Hydro archon can very well die and just give her godly power to furina making her folcalore we already have an archon, where they share a body with another being the Shogun and ei so I think furina will just be herself but with actual power
@@silverhawkscape2677 well there can’t be two hydro archons and sure they can merge but I think it makes for a better story arc and an interesting character for furina if she does pass on her godly power and her archon title to furina
@@OdessaSilver yes the puppy is it a Archon, but she does possess the consciousness of ei plus the puppet was made to look like her as well so technically she the archon since she is divinely created
I like this theory because I felt bad for Furina regarding the final ascension line but this one means that she is seemingly actively working for this to happen. I like that it’s seemingly her choice
Also, celestia is watching her. Why? Because she's harboring a sovereign! Celestia is watching because they know what she's upto. She's the God of Justice, what is the greatest INJUSTICE? The 1st who came taking over and stealing dragons power. THAT IS THE GOD SHE WILL ULTIMATELY JUDGE. And celestia knows this. Their waiting on the primordial sea to use it against celestia along with dadd- ahem, childes whale. 😊
@@Jadechamberrrwdym stealing. The Primodial One was already stronger than all the dragon sovereigns together, they need no such power. Its just the source of power of the archons who themselves are weaklings compared to the priomodial one
my theory is see how people with Ousia are wearing mostly black like Lynette and Rizzly and are usually much colder towards people and people with Pneuma like Neuvi and possibly Navia are wearing brighter colors and are more warmer and nicer towards people Furina is the archon so naturally she must have both Pneuma and Ousia what if she has 2 personalities based on her alignment? her current is Pneuma makes her more open and normal while in her Ousia state she's stronger and serious?
personally i prefer the comedy version of the focalors possibility: Furina is an oceanid who inherited the hydro archon position from Egeria, however she didn't believe herself to be fit for the position. however, a different oceanid happened to become the god of justice, and Furina thought she'd be perfect for it, and so offered her the position. however, focalors, as god of justice felt it would be unjust to take furina's position from her, earned or not, and so they hatch a plan together to merge like oceanids are capable of doing to make a single entity that is both the hydro archon and the god of justice. in this interaction, focalors leans the true nature of the gnosis and finds the just path forward being to invite the hydro dragon sovereign to fontaine and place him in a position of power. following this, she begins hatching the plan to save fontaine using the oritrice, however, she still needs a face to show the people to fuel her powers as a god. because of this, she splits off from furina again, only this time, furina now has the powers of the god of justice, but can't use them, as she lacks the correct ideology that enabled them in the first place, meanwhile focalors takes the power of the hydro archon into the oritrice to get the plan going and transmit the god power (indemnitium) from furina, who keeps building it by remaining in good standing, into the oritrice to do... whatever it is she is trying to do. this means that furina had her power stolen by focalors as a part of their plan, and now transmits the power of the god of justice back to focalors to keep the plan going, and thus has no actual power of her own at the moment, but is still the hydro archon... technically.
I recently came across some information that may give us an answer about Furina’s Origin. (I do wish to point out, that I came across this information while investigating Decarabian, and came to the conclusion that he is still alive, and that he was originally an Eye of the Storm.) An Eye of the Storm the physical form of extremely high quality Anemo energy. Their formation indicates that the elemental Ley lines of a region are blocked, which has led to siltation. It wields the power of storms due to its nature as a symbol of the world stricken by malaise, the general feeling of discomfort or uneasiness, whose cause is difficult to identify. When we hear about Ley Lines, or the Elements, we are consistently told they are the roots of Irminsul and the Building Blocks of the world. Yet, Eye of the Storms tell us that when Ley Lines are blocked, siltation occurs. Siltation is a phenomenon when rivers, lakes, or any body of water is blocked by something. One of the negatives affects of siltation are coastline alterations … which is something that Fontaine is suffering from. Eye of the Storms have been around since 1.0, so this comparison of Ley Lines to bodies of water is a very interesting comparison to make. I’m still thinking about what this suggests about the Ley Lines, but I still feel like it’s important to at least point it out. So, we all know that there are two things that can blocks the Ley Lines, Divine Nails, and Dark Mud. (Just going to add this here, I have a whole other theory that suggests Dark Mud is the continuous decomposing bodies of Hilichurls, after their expiration date since … well … as we know, Hilichurls are incapable of truly perishing. I mean, we can literally see some dying Hilichurls in the Chasm are in a puddle of Dark Mud) I wish to propose the possibility that the Ley Lines in Fontaine are being blocked by both a Divine Nail and Dark Mud. Dark Mud that originates from Remuria, and a Divine Nail that originated from the previous Hydro Sovereign Reign. With these two sources of blockage, a lot of silt would’ve built up fast, causing the waters to raise even higher and higher, until they start endangering the people of Fontaine. Eye of the Storms are a symbol of the world stricken by malaise, and Fontaine has a prophecy of its doom, which could be seen as malaise for Fontaine as well. Eye of the Storms form when blockage occurs, or more specifically they form when blockage occurs and there’s Anemo Energy around, but in Fontaine, there’d only be Hydro Energy, so a Hydro-attuned Eye of the Storm was formed instead (Eye of the Tide?) I believe this Eye of the Tide is Furina’s true identity. This indicates that Furina is not the Hydro Archon, but is instead someone who informed the Hydro Archon of the siltation. This would’ve prompted the Hydro Archon Focalors to go a clear out the silt, silt that has been accumulating for many many 1000s of years, so it’d take a long time to clear the silt as well, and the Archons Throne shouldn’t be empty for that long, so … Focalors asked Furina to watch over Fontaine during her absence. So yeah, that’s it, that’s my take on Furina’s Origin, she’s an Eye of the Tide. Since this whole theory started from my investigation into Decarabian, this theory is a huge hit or miss … I can’t wait until we learn the truth!!!
I do think that the Indemetium? And the Gnosis will be given to Neuvillette by Furina in the far next future As Furina knows that he is indeed the reincarnation of the Hydro sovereign They might me be the first dragon and "archon" partners
personally the theory that neuvillette will stop the prophecy and gain his full dragon powers doesn’t seem right to me since he has already had a huge presence in the archon quest so i think it would be weak writing to throw furina’s entire character away and make her end up not doing anything. There’s a really mysterious air about her and to have her end up being powerless and making neuvi do everything would be catastrophic character writing😭
Okay, I find it bizarre how seriously people are taking the final ascension line. Like, no other ascension lines get this level of "oh this is totally foreshadowing!" from the community, and I feel it has a lot to do with the Dragon Sovereign hype. Like aren't all characters canonically at max-ascension level anyway? Almost every ascension line is literally the characters noticing their new strength and talking to the Traveler about it, and I think a lot of them aren't entirely cannon because they involve the characters basically accompanying the Traveler everywhere (plus, Ascencion is purely a gameplay mechanic, so I doubt Neuvillette could regain his full-dragonhood by killing an electric seahorse 50 times or so.) It feels weird to me were taking Neuvillette's statement of "I'm now a true dragon" thing to be how Fontaine's gonna end, yet pay no attention to Albedo saying "he's found his meaning" and what that means for him and Mondstat (which for a Homonculus left on his own accord by his mater with one vague final mission, that's a pretty major lore development.) So it feels like the community is being oddly selective here, mainly because we feel like him getting his full power back could be a way to avert the prophecy. (Never mind the fact that doing so would literally end up destroying Fontaine via Celestia, since I doubt they'll take well to one of their former adversaries returning to full power.) Also, Neuvillette has a lot of spoiler stuff on his character voice lines and backstory, but notice how the stuff the devs actually consider to be spoilers are hidden? Like his voice lines on the Seven and Furina? I doubt the devs actually consider his final ascension voice line to actually be anything that could give away what the final plot of the Archon quest is, or they purposely put it in there knowing how the community would react and allowing it to serve as a major red herring to let the surprise factor be fresh. (Also, I want to comment on the whole Furina calling the people of Fontaine 'his people', thing. Just because you aren't the Archon doesn't mean you can't consider the people to be 'your people' as the ruler. Of anything, any term like 'your people' means you are familiar with the people of a certain area. Every Fontainan technically has the right to call other Fontainans "their people" as a way of acknowledging fellow citizenship, and every ruler has the people of their nation 'their people' because the ruler is the one that looks after the nation and all it's citizens at large, and since Neuvillette is basically the one who actually runs the government, Furina calling the people of Fontaine 'his people' could be referring to either the former, ladder or both. After all, Furina doesn't lack self-awareness, and considering she knows how much Neuvillette does for the country it wouldn't be a stretch to call the people of Fontaine 'his people' even though they are technically the people of the Hydro Archon.)
I personally think people are misunderstanding Neuv's ascension line. If that line is locked behind ascension but not act 5 story. Neuv will not get the gnosis in act 5. Instead its a clue that the nature of allogene ascension being tied to draconic authority.
Hmhm, Ashikai made a really good video on that topic and I think she is up to something! But a lot of people are forgetting the context: it's not just the voiceline, it's the trailer. We see the sky crack, as in the fake sky, the sky dome. If that is not an open declaration of war I don't know what is. Xbalanque also implies the dragons are returning. I believe it's only a manner of time until the dragon war 2.0 starts, but that can't happen unless the dragons recover their power, hence why I believe the line means exactly what it states.
@@BluesLoreCrumbsexactly THIS, and I believe that Tsaritsa might be the CRYO dragon and at some point it(the dragon) took over the Tsaritsa's gnosis. Which is why she stopped loving her people and only cared about executing her revenge against Celestia. The Cryo Dragon might be reuniting the gnosis to give them back to their original owners but as I guess that she doesn't know that Neuvillette is the Hydro Dragon himself, she wouldn't know that giving him back the gnosis is what she actually wants. Xbalanqué might be the fire dragon and might need to be reshaped through reincarnation (hence the ode of reincarnation thing in Natlán). This would also fit with the fact that the character that talks about important characters from previous regions becomes playable. Maybe I'm high on dendro haha.
I think burned picture has some sort of meaning. The one that Furina holds that is crumbling away. I think it might represent the state that she is in maybe? Maybe she did something to herself to prevent the flood? Edit: also since Nervallette has pointy ear and there are humans that have long lives could they be the same type of humans that more intune with elements? Like dragon/human reincarnations?
As far as the name thing goes, Furina is different as an Archon from the others we have met. Venti is simply a god who has no active role in ruling so they don't exactly have a name other than Barbatos for him. Zhongli ruled his nation and had a position of great respect but very impersonal connection with his people. Raiden literally kills people who defy her so there's probably not much love or closeness there. Nahida canonically is "new" so her people don't exactly know how to interact with her and haven't yet built that closeness of an active god who actually mingles with humans. Furina is the only one who actively mingles with her people, is well known as their Archon, and has pretty much bridged the gap between god and human by making herself a participant of Fontaine's rules instead of just a high above deity. Essentially a celebrity, people admire and respect them but we also know celebrities are like us, human. Although Furina isn't actually exactly the same, her image has created a human persona for the people. I think "Lady Furina" is simply what she is to them, a fellow person and not "Focalors" the Archon.
Fully agreed! And really well put as well, that's how I look at it too. But that's also why I think it's so telling. Whether or not she was close to them, you would expect the Fontainians to still treat her with some reverence if she was the ruling body, like how they treat Neuvillette. But then again Neuvi is pretty distant from everyone, so that's not the best comparison possible. Maybe the people of Fontaine are just -French- relaxed like that when it comes to titles.
My theory is that we’ve only seen pneuma version of furina (and that’s the furina that arlecchino attacked) maybe the ousia “personality” of furina is the archon. And the gnosis only shows up with the ousia state? Idk lol
I feel like the current Furina is just an afterimage produced by the Oratrice or is just a manifestation of the previous hydro archon's insecurities... then again I do not know what I'm saying.
"He is SO looking at the booty~" 😭 He is though! Also, great video! You make a good point about her being called "Lady Furina", it really doesn't feel all that respectful. I'm totally on board with either theory tbh. And I'm really looking forward to full powered Neuvillette!
I’m convinced the cryo archon wants to restore the sovereigns. That’s why she wants the gnosis. What better way to get allies than to recruit the dragons to fight celestia.
... Didn't the Sovereigns lose to Celestia in Round 1, Nabirius brings forbidden knowledge, Deshret goes insane, Greater Lord seals it with her body... isn't that how it turned out... why would they be able to beat Celestia... oh wait the Traveler... hmmm....
I would absolutely love the ending of Fontaine to be Furina returning the gnosis to Neauvillete and hugging. Only for it to be revealed that she gained a vision or gained her hydro powers back or something. Since the leaks does confirm that she does gain hydro abilities
Thankfully I'm not on twitter. I still have to dodge leaks on YT, though. Its really annoying. The least they can do on YT is create clickbate thumbnails WITHOUT spoilers or leaks in the damn thumbnails. About this patch's reveals: I thought that my ideas about the gnosis were out in crazy land. But, this reveal actually doesn't mess (much) with my own ideas that I'm using in my fic. I better get my butt in gear with writing, though, lol. Mainly because (knowing myself as I do) I may want to drop my fic if something occurs to completely disprove it (which is certain to happen, I am likely WAAAY off) before I finish it. So far, this still works with my theory, though. Which surprises me. Thankfully, my fic should be ready to finally lay my theory out, soon. Likely in chapter 14 or 15. __________ End of that ramble, sorry! Spoiler warning about things I mention below, connected to the reveals in this patch (sort of).... Spoilers mentioned WAAAY below about Remuria - but nothing that isn't in the game already. Still, felt I should warn anyone who hadn't gotten too far into that. Spoiler warning, but not because of leaks: __________ In any case, this was a FANTASTIC video, as always. As for Furina.... I'm wondering about the hints I've been seeing in game about there being 3 rulers in this land, as well. So far, every nation has had 3 main powerful gods, that ruled jointly or in peace, except for Mondstadt. In Sumeru it was the 3 God kings. In Inazuma, it was Makoto and from what I have seen, Mikoshi Chiyo & Sasayuri were about equal to her. Ei was her shadow warrior with Saiguu and Yae being their familiars, respectivly. In Liyue it was Zhongli, Guizhong and Marchosius. So far, in Mondstadt, I only know of Isteroth and maybe Decarabian being equal. I dont know if Andrius would count, as well. None of the 3 of them seemed close (considering the animosity implied between Decarabian and Andrius)... But Isteroth might have been a friend to both of them, and when she vanished, maybe that started the war between them, that lead to old Mondstadt being sealed off... Ooh.... I just had another idea! lol, Anyway, I think the 3 in Fontaine came AFTER Remus. Unless the island that the opera house (and it's whole surrounding campus set up) is on, was there before the fall of Remuria. Since the name of that island is based off of 3 goddesses (The Erinyes, otherwise known as: the Furies) in our world. I mainly say this, because of the 3 large thrones on the property. They COULD be older than the opera house, and it could have been built after.... But, I'm thinking he and Egeria don't sound to me, like they were too friendly. Though, I haven't done all of the world quests in that area, yet. It's possible I am missing something there. If he was one of the 3, I don't think the 3rd was Sybilla. She was said to be a "seer". Though... she could change her form. So maybe. In any case, if she was or wasn't the 3rd god, I believe Barbeloth is connected to her (if not her). Though, I have very little foundation for that thought... Aside from the fact that it's implied that Barbeloth is older than Alice. Or that's the impression I get from Mona and others. Alice was around before the archon war, I think. Since she knew Yae as a child as well as Saiguu... Yae was implied to be young when the war started. So I can't say much on that... But, if Barbeloth IS connected, it's not going to be a surprise to me. Sorry, I kind of went all over there. Maybe it at least gave you some ideas, or at least amused you, though.
There is another interisent8ng line from Neuvillette, the one where he talks about having gone to the Opera and that the story was about a vengeful woman against her heirs.
I dont really know what to think of Furina, I do get the impression of the over the top dramatic personality being a front, I do often wonder to myself after having completed the archon quests " what kind of archon / god begs for her life without fighting back? " How old is Furina ? She appears older than Nahida but Nahida is elvish looking and Nahida is around 500 years old or so i think ? My thoughts have kinda run away from me lol Neuvillette even though he is a descendant / reincarnation ? Of the hydro dragon sovereign seems to have feelings for Furina , not romantically of course but he seems protective of her imo, otherwise why would he ask us to protect her in the meeting with the Knave while he went to deal with the primordial sea, and after he fixed the seal, his immediate thought was how Furina was doing in the meeting with the knave, the he saw her as he was talking to us and immediately tuned us out distracted by her presence. Idk he seems to have a almost fatherly relationship in how he seems to care for her imo and be protective of her Apologies for the long post , Ima huge Neuvillette simp lmao , and cant wait to get Furina to buff my Neuvi team lol 😊❤
The reason i find it odd that Neuvillette seems protective of Furina is his status of being a dragon sovereign and Furina being an archon , and his true power having been stolen from him from the primordial one and then given to the archons.
Furina and Focalors is giving me Marika and Radagon vibes . Also im 100% sure she’s hiding/locked in the Oratrice . I also believe that the furina outside is a Oceanid under furinas control. And thats why the oceanids left. It makes sense if she becames a figure head though!
i think there still the real Hydro archon and is separated as three entities which are Neuvillette and Furina and the third one having the gnosis. Example is furinas skill summons three pets, and the three thrones in one of the fontaines bosses.
Not a story leak, but her kit leak that is everywhere now on youtube. She has a form switch where she changes her looks. So i belive its that: Furina with short hair ---) Pyra Furina with long hair --) Mythra Fused together ---) Pneuma Oretrice ---) Trinity Processor So we still miss 2 more characters...
I think furina will still be the ruler and the god of Fontaine I think I’m the archon quest furina will be given folcslores power to be the real hydro archon of Fontaine I don’t think neuvillette would want to even rule Fontaine he doesn’t even like presiding over trials, but still do use it because it’s his duty I think his overall character is much better with him being in the current position that he is it fits him more with him being the ruler. He would have to associate with the other Archons, and he’s made that quite clear that he doesn’t exactly like them so it’s possible that voiceline could really just be there to beat us into thinking he will rule Fontaine if he was going to be the ruler in the future that voice line would be locked behind an archon quest I mean, he does said that he’s giving us his power. In the meantime plus it’s quite obvious the fatui will get all seven gnosis we’ve been reminded that the archons have no use for them so why would neuvillette want it ik it’s hinted that’s his original power but celestia would definitely do something about it if he does get it also furina saying neuvillette should be getting closer to his people could very well be just because he’s there chief justice he’s basically second in command so of course she’s going to call them his people that’s the same as lyney and Lynette’s relationship with the house of the hearth they’re basically his people because their family plus I feel like furina should prove herself to be the realize she can’t be the whole point of her character is that she doesn’t symbolize true Justice if she just neuvillette all her responsibilities, then what’s the point of even having her in the first place? Furina is definitely capable of being a Fontaine’s ruler especially since the people already love her
I doubt that Neuvillette get his full power back. at least not now. We learned before that destroying a Gnosis will have the Heavenly principle to act up. For Neuvillette to get his full power the Gnosis will have to be destroyed. They will definitely safe Fontaine from the crisis with that but will also bring an even bigger one in the form of Celestia. Imo that Neuvillette line isn't for the near future but the far one whenever the traveler uncover the whole truth about this world. Furina/Hydro archon knows that Neuvillette is the Hydro dragon reincarnation and wants him to have a belonging in Fontaine. The only way for him to be accepted in that society is to be its judge and that's exactly what Furina was trying to do. She created the Oratrice that gives the same judgement as Neuvillette (most likely her consciousness in it) Whenever childe was judged to be guilty as the opposite of Neuvillette judgement is, was because Furina knows about his connections to that whale, who from the looks of it resides in the primordial sea?! that's why she had to give a "guilty" sentience to Childe to get him there for whatever reason?! Furina is working on that crisis so it would make sense if that was the case with Childe
Not all archon are Fighter. Makoto was an archon but Raiden is far stronger than her. Cyro archon also wasnt a Fighter when she is being choosen as The archon
Furina is more of an Archon than Venti 😂😂, at least she's present during the trials, Venti would be dead drunk at a tavern lmao oh and Zhongli would just be sipping tea somewhere looking on the onslaught as he speaks these words "Osmanthus wine....." Raiden Shogun unfortunately isn't better than Zhongli, and Nahida was captured by the power of mankind, waiiit... holdup... no archon so far has been competent in anyway 😂😆😂
Hey now! Venti is a good archon, he actually protects his people...when he is awake which isn't all that often...eh. I fully agree with the Raiden and Zhongli slander tho >_>
I believe they are making the distinction between the puppet and the god. The Raiden Shogun is the puppet, Ei is the actual archon, but she gave up her physical body so she inhabits the Shogun when out of the plane of Euthymia.
That's a possibility! But I find it weird that there is no mention of Neuvillette in that case. We don't know where the prophecy came from exactly, but it must have been from someone in the know. Even the common folk know that the Chief Justice isn't exactly human. And this is personal opinion only, but I think that would make for some poor writing. It would feel like an excuse.
Absolutely not! But let's not forget the other factions currently preparing to face Celestia: the fatui and the abyss are the biggest ones, but the traveler wants revenge on the Sustainer at least, the sibling also believes they will align themselves with them by the end of their journey. There are also the archons who aren't fond of Celestia, we can't know for sure what they will do when the time comes. Hexenzirkel is another variable yet to be determined. But above all else, there is the implied existence of the Ring of Nibelung, and when you look at the opera it is referencing, things start looking a little grimmer for the gods. We also see the sky crack in Neuvillette's trailer, as in, the sky dome that the PO created, which spells trouble for it. Xbalanque also implies the dragons are returning. So it's not JUST Neuvillette. When all is said and done, the dragons may end up having more fire power than ever before.

So, what are your thoughts on Furina, Focalors and Neuvillette?
What I like to believe is that Egeria is still somewhat alive, thats why Furina isnt an Archon. But I do like this theory❤
they did the same thing for nahida, "lesser lord kusanali". the people seen her as a weak place holder then their archon of wisdom and didnt see her as their god.
This entire split personality thing is what puts me off the most when it comes to these theories and like the video essay mentioned, she's just faking her confidence and is more consistent than not (even then people with DID do have collective behaviors, since it's a neurological thing so it affects the whole system; their personalities do vary but they're still their own individual people)
I would like to believe this scattered "body" of hers is what's causing Furina's instability because she is not _Whole_ and thus is essentially like someone with a still developing brain.
No. Leaks tell us Focalors personality will die leavonf us with the fraud
@@silverhawkscape2677 well there can’t be two hydro archons and sure they can merge but I think it makes for a better story arc and an interesting character for furina if she does pass on her godly power and her archon title to furina
@@isaiahhaley4816 Shogun is no Archon, its just a pupet. A robot so to say which wields the sword that has the real Electro Archon inside
Its just the source of power of the archons who themselves are weaklings compared to the priomodial one
my theory is see how people with Ousia are wearing mostly black like Lynette and Rizzly and are usually much colder towards people
and people with Pneuma like Neuvi and possibly Navia are wearing brighter colors and are more warmer and nicer towards people
Furina is the archon so naturally she must have both Pneuma and Ousia
what if she has 2 personalities based on her alignment? her current is Pneuma makes her more open and normal while in her Ousia state she's stronger and serious?
lines up with leaks
that analysis of neuvillette's character trailer and the oratrice gave me chills dude, you are SO amazing
edit: this whole theory gave me chills
That's some really high praise! Thank you very much! ^^ I'm glad you enjoyed!
personally i prefer the comedy version of the focalors possibility:
Furina is an oceanid who inherited the hydro archon position from Egeria, however she didn't believe herself to be fit for the position. however, a different oceanid happened to become the god of justice, and Furina thought she'd be perfect for it, and so offered her the position. however, focalors, as god of justice felt it would be unjust to take furina's position from her, earned or not, and so they hatch a plan together to merge like oceanids are capable of doing to make a single entity that is both the hydro archon and the god of justice.
in this interaction, focalors leans the true nature of the gnosis and finds the just path forward being to invite the hydro dragon sovereign to fontaine and place him in a position of power. following this, she begins hatching the plan to save fontaine using the oritrice, however, she still needs a face to show the people to fuel her powers as a god. because of this, she splits off from furina again, only this time, furina now has the powers of the god of justice, but can't use them, as she lacks the correct ideology that enabled them in the first place, meanwhile focalors takes the power of the hydro archon into the oritrice to get the plan going and transmit the god power (indemnitium) from furina, who keeps building it by remaining in good standing, into the oritrice to do... whatever it is she is trying to do.
this means that furina had her power stolen by focalors as a part of their plan, and now transmits the power of the god of justice back to focalors to keep the plan going, and thus has no actual power of her own at the moment, but is still the hydro archon... technically.
I recently came across some information that may give us an answer about Furina’s Origin.
(I do wish to point out, that I came across this information while investigating Decarabian, and came to the conclusion that he is still alive, and that he was originally an Eye of the Storm.)
An Eye of the Storm the physical form of extremely high quality Anemo energy.
I mean, we can literally see some dying Hilichurls in the Chasm are in a puddle of Dark Mud)
I wish to propose the possibility that the Ley Lines in Fontaine are being blocked by both a Divine Nail and Dark Mud.
Eye of the Storms form when blockage occurs, or more specifically they form when blockage occurs and there’s Anemo Energy around, but in Fontaine, there’d only be Hydro Energy, so a Hydro-attuned Eye of the Storm was formed instead (Eye of the Tide?)
I believe this Eye of the Tide is Furina’s true identity.
And the Gnosis will be given to Neuvillette by Furina in the far next future
As Furina knows that he is indeed the reincarnation of the Hydro sovereign
They might me be the first dragon and "archon" partners
personally the theory that neuvillette will stop the prophecy and gain his full dragon powers doesn’t seem right to me since he has already had a huge presence in the archon quest so i think it would be weak writing to throw furina’s entire character away and make her end up not doing anything.
Almost every ascension line is literally the characters noticing their new strength and talking to the Traveler about it, and I think a lot of them aren't entirely cannon because they involve the characters basically accompanying the Traveler everywhere (plus, Ascencion is purely a gameplay mechanic, so I doubt Neuvillette could regain his full-dragonhood by killing an electric seahorse 50 times or so.)
It feels weird to me were taking Neuvillette's statement of "I'm now a true dragon" thing to be how Fontaine's gonna end, yet pay no attention to Albedo saying "he's found his meaning" and what that means for him and Mondstat (which for a Homonculus left on his own accord by his mater with one vague final mission, that's a pretty major lore development.) So it feels like the community is being oddly selective here, mainly because we feel like him getting his full power back could be a way to avert the prophecy. (Never mind the fact that doing so would literally end up destroying Fontaine via Celestia, since I doubt they'll take well to one of their former adversaries returning to full power.)
Also, Neuvillette has a lot of spoiler stuff on his character voice lines and backstory, but notice how the stuff the devs actually consider to be spoilers are hidden?
What if Furina is an Oceanid pretending to be the archon and Folcalors is actually trapped within the Oratrice
Idk lol
Furina is just a proxy archon. Her "better half" is still out of our sight
I feel like the current Furina is just an afterimage produced by the Oratrice or is just a manifestation of the previous hydro archon's insecurities... then again I do not know what I'm saying.
"He is SO looking at the booty~" 😭
He is though!
About this patch's reveals:
I thought that my ideas about the gnosis were out in crazy land.
__________
End of that ramble, sorry!
Spoiler warning about things I mention below, connected to the reveals in this patch (sort of)....
Spoilers mentioned WAAAY below about Remuria - but nothing that isn't in the game already.
Still, felt I should warn anyone who hadn't gotten too far into that.
Spoiler warning, but not because of leaks:
__________
In any case, this was a FANTASTIC video, as always.
How old is Furina ? She appears older than Nahida but Nahida is elvish looking and Nahida is around 500 years old or so i think ?
My thoughts have kinda run away from me lol
Neuvillette even though he is a descendant / reincarnation ? Of the hydro dragon sovereign seems to have feelings for Furina , not romantically of course but he seems protective of her imo, otherwise why would he ask us to protect her in the meeting with the Knave while he went to deal with the primordial sea, and after he fixed the seal, his immediate thought was how Furina was doing in the meeting with the knave, the he saw her as he was talking to us and immediately tuned us out distracted by her presence.
Idk he seems to have a almost fatherly relationship in how he seems to care for her imo and be protective of her
Apologies for the long post ,
Ima huge Neuvillette simp lmao , and cant wait to get Furina to buff my Neuvi team lol 😊❤
So i belive its that:
Furina with short hair ---) Pyra
Furina with long hair --) Mythra
Fused together ---) Pneuma
Oretrice ---) Trinity Processor
So we still miss 2 more characters...
Genshin reverse psychology
Makes sense now. Btw still my queen
Not all archon are Fighter.
Makoto was an archon but Raiden is far stronger than her.
Cyro archon also wasnt a Fighter when she is being choosen as The archon
Furina is more of an Archon than Venti 😂😂, at least she's present during the trials, Venti would be dead drunk at a tavern lmao oh and Zhongli would just be sipping tea somewhere looking on the onslaught as he speaks these words "Osmanthus wine....."
Raiden Shogun unfortunately isn't better than Zhongli, and Nahida was captured by the power of mankind, waiiit... holdup... no archon so far has been competent in anyway 😂😆😂
Hey now! Venti is a good archon, he actually protects his people...when he is awake which isn't all that often...eh.
I fully agree with the Raiden and Zhongli slander tho >_>
Of course like Raiden shogun is not Raiden ei
Ei is the Raiden Shogun but she is not Baal
I believe they are making the distinction between the puppet and the god. The Raiden Shogun is the puppet, Ei is the actual archon, but she gave up her physical body so she inhabits the Shogun when out of the plane of Euthymia.
Personality disorder
I thought furina wont be dissolved because shes a higher being from teyvat (archon) rather than not being a fontainian all together.
She probably focalors but dont have the gnosis cause she got steal by fatui or lose it for other reason
so we really think neuvilette can fight celestia, when all 7 s.dragon and its king failed to win.
It’s gonna be raiden shogun all over again hate to see it. Someone’s probably gonna die and we’re gonna have the character we have know justified
