I was not blessed with musical ability, but I love music and Taize. I love to pray Taize prayer. I sing off key and out of tune!! But, the Lord said make a joyful noise, not a good one! When I sing my heart is joyful.

Christ has truly risen! What a beautifull way to tell the world, that nothing is stronger than love, no death, no virus can hold him. This litterally brings that message home!!!
Listen to it every day. So many beautiful young singers and musicians, their smiling faces, their joy, the representation from so many countries, inspirational and hopeful. Thank you.

Coming together and praising God as one erases the boundaries and differences that the world had set us apart. In unison, this song of various nationalities reminds us all that we are all God's Children for Jesus is the Way, the Life, and the Resurrection.
Wonderful, I love all those beautiful young people world wide singing with one voice for us all. May you grow in strength, talent and inspired direction! 🌹💖 to you all.

Oh my youthful summers spent at Taize 25 years ago. Miss Brother Rogers beautiful face he was truly a Saint of God . Good to see some innocence & love left in world. Greetings to Brother Jean Marie. Paul King England
It’s wonderful that people can be brought together to sing in the traditional Latin language of the Church. All that’s needed now is to restore the traditional language to the sacred liturgy.
eastwestcoastkid Pax tecum. Whilst you are correct, and although the use of the Latin language may not have been formerly abrogated by the Church, it’s obvious that in practice its use is despised, not least by the shepherds of the flock. Indeed, Latin is no longer taught in seminaries, and most Bishops and their clergy are utterly clueless in the use of Latin. It would be amazing if they could even recite the basics such as the Pater Noster, Ave Maria or the Salve Regina etc. let alone converse in the mother tongue of the Church. You only have to study the recent history of the Church since the Second Vatican Council to realise that its traditions have been savaged beyond all recognition. Consider, the old maxim, the family that prays together stays together,. Sadly, the Latin Church is now redolent of the Tower of Babble - res ipsa loquetur!
eastwestcoastkid May I suggest that you don’t simply accept my word, but rather, investigate several or more diocesan seminaries, which can presumably be easily done on line. Alternatively, try calling the re spective Vocations Directors of your own and other diocese and simply ask the question whether or not training for the priesthood includes Latin in the syllabus. . Frankly, I’ll be amazed if any seminary, other than those affiliated to tradition such as the Fraternity of St Peter, or the Institute of Christ the King and one or two others require knowledge and understanding of Latin as an absolute necessity for admission to Holy Orders. May I respectfully suggest, that you have a duty to acquaint yourself with current state of the Church and the story of how we got into the mess we’re in today. In Christo.
Anthony Côdd thank I’m aware of the situation in the church-the fact that some may not teach Latin-I’m surprised but actually not worried as there is no prohibition. It’s one liturgy allowed among others. I don’t see the church falling away because the liturgy is not done exclusively in Latin. I will look into the diocesan training as well. Pacem.
Many thanks to everyone who is responsible for the idea and the organization of the virtual Taizé choir and to all who took part, the singers and the musicians. This is Taizé: singing and praying together even across borders, continents, language barriers and time differences, even and especially in difficult times.
