Hi Norman. I like this design a lot. GP seems to be the Cinderella of expensive watches. But they say that the quality and heritage is right up there with the best.
I’ve noticed this 1945 watch before too Norman. Something about the case show I find really attractive. I think the onyx and silver would be the top ones. Man if I can only find a good size and price for this one ☝🏻 🙏
On Chrono24 the "cheapest" models of the Vintage 1945 big date moon phase are just over $4,000 USD. Other simpler models are even under $2,000. It seems that the resale value of that line is not very good, better for collectors who want to buy one.
The skeletonized ones look really cool! Hm. Dress watches are jewelry. So why not wearing it while guessing the time? Or you ask another party guest for the time, saying „Excuse me. Can you tell me the time? My watch just died. See it’s skeletonized already.“ 🕐⚙️🍸
These things look splendid and the size and proportions are perfect. Of course you can just imagine walking around wearing a watch that cost so little, effectively advertising that you're either cheap, broke or just a slob who will put on anything at all that he finds lying around. I'm not quite ready to proclaim to the world, hey think what you want about me, I don't care because I like this cheap watch. Bill Gates can pull that off but the rest of us aren't generally interested in being rebels.

Hmmmm, I like that they've got a brown one😂 Also are those GP in house movements? If so quite good value. But, & its a big butt, they wear huge.
