Hello Paula, I am 71 years old and I have developed diabetes in the last 1 1/2 years. I have it pretty much under control so I can have sugar within reason. The main reason I am writing is to ask you if you have a simple recipe for Chocolate, Peanut Butter and Oatmeal cookies. ( just one cookie, all together). I made these simple cookies when my kids were young. I know they're no bake, but it did cook on the stove top. Anyway if you can find this recipe would like for you to please make them so I can watch and remember to write the recipe down so I can pass it on to my daughter. Greetings from North Carolina. P.S. I wish you the Happiest Birthday and many more.
Monster Cookies are the BEST! I've often made a double batch, baked a couple of trays, then scooped out the batter and placed them on a cookie tray close together to freeze. Once frozen, I bag the raw dough balls. They last forever in the freezer and when the grandkids come over I have them already prepared and just have to bake off a tray or two. I do that with all the cookie doughs I make. Very handy to have in the freezer for homemade cookies in a flash! :) ~~Mavis~~ (ps: Paula, my mother loved outdoor Roses, but not in bouquets, because she said the same as you.....it's too much like the smell of a funeral home, and the more sad funerals I go to, I now agree with her!)
Thank you welcoming us into your home. I love that you don’t have so many fancy items, things that overwhelm the average person as well as intimate. Kitchens are the heart of the home and yours is an example of where everyone wants to hang out!
I know I would not complain about receiving beautiful flowers! My husband used to give me beautiful yellow roses ( my favorite). I sure do miss him ☹️ rip
I’ve made monster cookies for years! They were always requested for picnics and pot lucks - but I always made them monster size - 1/4 cup per cookie so really big cookies!
I remember the first time you made these and when you said there’s no flour in this recipe I was ecstatic as I have Celiac Disease. I make them, my family and friends absolutely love these cookies and I can enjoy them too.
It’s vodka and vanilla beans, she did a video, I make homemade vodka also. She does it a tad bit different. I do 8oz vodka with 1and half beans per oz. so 6 beans for 8oz. Slice beans open put in vodka shake everyday for a month after that when you think about it. Best to sit at least a year but most use after 6 months. Hope this helps 🤗
On the healthy aspect of these cookies I will use a word that's used in poker. it' a "wash". Nobody win's or loses. But on this day calories don't count. Cause I said so. So there. LOL Let the good times roll.
One of - if not the best cookies in the world. Another shortcut is when you make your oatmeal cookies - peanut butter cookies - and chocolate chip cookies for holidays - HOLD out 1/3 of each batter and mix them all together then add m&m's... SUPER YUMMY monster cookie.
@@tennesseeiris701 Yes, you're right. The spray actually creates a build up of film that is counterintuitive with the non stick pan, etc. and actually ruins the surface. Every time Paula sprays her air fryer insert or her pots n pans, cookie sheets, I cringe. She's ruining the nonstick finish...😯
Paula, you're right! That immersion hand blender isn't that powerful, especially with the whisk attachment... don't burn up that one using it as a regular hand mixer! She's turning 69, she lost her husband 7 years ago, so we try to make her bday special especially since shes alone! So shopping again......

In response to the comment about Paula being confused where the cookies were, I believe she was asking about the ones that were already cooled. As you can see she had just finished putting the hot ones on the cooling rack. But you can see there are several cooled ones overlapping each other on the top left corner of the cooling rack obviously the ones she was going to taste. Eddie may have put them there for the ease of filming the video. I don’t think it was a big deal to suggest she is forgetful. We’re not in the kitchen and the videos do get edited. Are you sure the cookie recipe didn't call for oat flour? That's just regular oatmeal ground up and there's 4 1/2 cups of oatmeal...
