As a Goan Muslim our way of making ross was quite different (we saute some onions and tomatoes then add some ginger garlic to roasted coconut, hence a lot of oil was used)
But when I came across ur recipe of chanyacho, Halsane Ross I found it easy and quick to make and the taste is just amazing...
