    That bike looks really good Steven, I've sat on them a couple of times at dealers, super comfy. A long way from the Cub had when I was 16 but tootling round on that was as much fun as any bike I've ever had. No more oily parts and chain to mess with either innit. Look forward to the videos of it 👍

      Thanks Glyn! I’m not a one make rider anyway, so I enjoyed a variety of marques over the last 48 years, including a couple of Cubs! (No surprise there I suppose!) I’m also looking forward to completing the tuning work on the Meteor too! (Although the Super Meteor is still tempting me.) Incidentally, I intend adding a Cub to the garage at some stage too, as the garage was reorganised this morning after a game of motorcycle Tetris, and I now have more space than I imagined!

    So great to see you feeling more chipper. Sounds like a new you! Forza is a terrific choice - “the best replacement for a Forza is another Forza!”.
    Can’t beat a good scoot, I have three of ‘em keeping my RE company. They do everything and make it seem easy. Looking forward to your rides. Be safe. Keep getting better.

      Thank you for your support and kind words. You are quite right about the Forza, they are a smashing machine, and one of the best of my 26 Hondas I’ve had. They do indeed make a lot of workhorse tasks easier and when I’m a bit infirm, a lot easier to handle. Plus my wife likes it. As she said just today, “You haven’t given up, you’ve just learned to work easier.”

    Afternoon Steven. If you go into settings, there is (at least on the OA3), a setting for screen timeout. Just put it on “Never”. If you want to use the front screen instead of the back (as I do), just tap on the front screen, it will tell you to swipe up. Bingo, front screen. Then the same on the back if you want to use the back again. When you turn the camera off, then on again, it defaults to the rear screen. As you know I rate the RST Paragon Gloves 😊

    • @TheNorfolkThunderbolt
      @TheNorfolkThunderbolt  5 місяців тому +1

      Yes, I think I have pretty much decided to get the gloves because I can use them for other things too. Thanks for the extra info on the camera, that is really helpful to know. My Honda is now taxed! My friend Ray came around and sorted out the garage for me so the Enfields are parked better, and Honda is easier to access. So happy days!

    Hello Steven, go into settings in the DJI and scroll down to the setting "Scrn Off When Rec", enter and change to "Never". Now the screen will never go off. Many thanks for the mention and great feedback regards the 360 videos. I am with you regards those who spin the camera everywhere, does my head in as well 🤣🤣🤣 I been struggling on a nice simple name to describe the 360 video and think I will use the pillion description, the simple stuff is always the best and pillion is the perfect fit. I have a lot of thoughts about the use of the 360 and will in due course bring more videos. Great to hear you getting better 👍 I do like the Forza, a lovely looking machine.

    • @TheNorfolkThunderbolt

    You're looking so much better, Steven. Great to catch up with your news. Riding the Honda intrigues me in a number of ways. Firstly you've had 25 previously - I can't imagine changing bikes so often as I get completely attached to them - yes, I know that's hopelessly romanticising what is essentially metal and rubber! But also that you would be able to hop on and ride... Do we spoil motorcycling through getting over protected now.. Fifty years ago we just used to slip a jacket, gloves and helmet on and get of out...
    My best wishes for continuing better health to you and your wife. Peter

      Well, my first bike was a Honda PC50 moped, so I have had confidence in the make since the beginning. Motorcycles have been an obsession of mine since I was 14, along with flying and in my younger years I craved variety and often had more than one bike available. The Honda Forza was designed to be the sort of machine you could ride without too much prep in way of gear, and I generally wear a good quality motorcycle jacket (a Merlin Kirkbury for winter and a Barbour International wax cotton jacket in summer.) thick trousers and a stout pair of boots. I’m afraid my choice of apparel is somewhat old fashioned and would upset a lot of modern riders. Having said that, it’s what I’ve been used to all these years and I think modern apparel has a lot of fripperies that just aren’t necessary or indeed useful, not to mention expensive. Back when I started riding, most of these things didn’t exist and a leather jacket was a very expensive option, sometimes more expensive than the bikes I bought and fettled! I’ve been wearing the same pair of engineering boots for ten years now (£25 from Amazon) and they are nowhere near worn! I’m beginning to think the second pair I bought at the same time might have been a bit frivolous! Having said all this, I have just bought myself a new helmet in the blue colour scheme to match the Honda. As for the Honda, they are very reliable, and being an automatic, very easy to ride for extended periods, and the CVT transmission is idea for lane riding as well as faster stuff. Frolic acid is a wonderful thing and since they started me on it I have been getting slowly better, so always best to check in with the GP if you are feeling a bit off….

      Yes, I’m getting better Peter! I just started the B12 supplement pills and they seem to be working. I should be out and about on two wheels again soon. Meanwhile, I’ve acquired a drone and will be learning to fly it soon, and I just bought a satnav for the van so that Jaki will have a bit more confidence to drive us out a bit further. Hope you are well, we have been enjoying your rides out as the weather was still a bit frightful here, luckily summer seems to be here now after a bit of a false start.
