I hate that they say “poor cowboy” he may not have a lot of money, but he is rich where it counts. Love this guy, hope he goes far in life, hopefully he gets discovered.
Faith Burke I love when ppl know that poor does not mean material matters. There are many people with lots of money who are dirt poor because their hearts are empty. This young may not have money and material things but his heart is rich and beautiful. He will shine his light upon this world. A man who shows pity toward another as if he is above him is the POOR one!
@@xheartiiz I play the lotto a lot because I hope to one day win big and finally let my grandparents retire but the problem about having a lot of money is that it ends up surrounding you with people who only see you as that, a lot of money, fake people, and to me that doesn't sound interesting at all and would be more stressful as you don't know who to go to and people who think that having fake friends is not a problem when you have a lot of money is the same people who end up losing the real people that actually cared about them and won't realize it until it's too late

@@helenlauer9545 to put it simple, how you dress represents what you're about, wearing your hat crooked makes you look like you're someone who is just doing it to look "cool" while people like Colby who wears his hat straight shows that it's more than just style for him, it's part of his day to day life for him to get the most functionality out of his attire for the work he does and it represents what kind of a man he is
It's like trucks, some people buy pickup trucks just to make them into big and noisy machines just because it looks cool while there's people who buy a truck because they need it for work
And of course you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover but I'm sure even you have seen people who try to represent the "country" life even though you know damn well they live in the suburbs and their truck is just for show

@@jdawg7388 he speaks the truth, if they gave Colby his own reality show they'll see it as boring because the type of "country style" that would sell is the fake kind that involves owning a huge truck that rolls coal just to look cool but will never been seen dirty and is too big to put a trailer on it, running around in the mud with his "toys", hunting for "critters", and never show him being the hard working man he is
For example, duck dynasty, I'm not gonna mock their success but what they portray them as on TV is not what you really see, yes I'm sure they hunt and whatnot but I doubt they would do stuff like buying Katanas and going on constant misadventures like Sy driving a semi truck with no experience if it wasn't for the cameras, that stuff is just fluffed up just for views to make them look interesting when in reality I'm pretty sure they don't do half the stuff you see on TV, again, I'm not saying they don't live the good life and wasn't successful before the show, I'm just saying that I doubt they got into that much trouble before the show came around
Thank you for saying that. I find it disgusting that people talk all day, well and nigh, long about single Mothers and how hard they have it. And how amazing they are. Why don't they do the same for single Father's??? Hmmm.🤔 Single Mother's get all of the recognition. Imagine how hard is it for them.? Not only are they the single parent, bread winner etc... All wrapped into one. And you hear every day how great Mom's are and you aren't because you're a man.

Not a huge fan of country music, but seeing this man literally take the boots off his feet for this young guy in need, is absolutely an amazing show of character, and earns him every ounce of my respect.
That performance was flawless. This kid has range and talent. I hope he makes it far and big as a fan of country music.

If you want to protect the guy's dignity and insure he has a pair of boots, you organize with the stage manager and the back-room production team to find out his shoe size and get him a new pair of boots. @@helenlauer9545 I see your point but if you've seen much of Luke Bryan, he is just an awesome, giving, down to earth guy. Talented in many ways but doesn't treat anyone as fans only human. In the country world, giving up your boots is a huge sign of respect. You don't want to know about that girl taking his hat off at the end.
Helen Lauer did you see how happy he was to get those boots though? That’s what matters. I’m sure having Luke’s boots means more to him than having a new pair. I’d rather have a celebrity I admire’s pair of shoes than a pair straight from the store.

I am so sorry that Colby did not make it through Group Round. He is so talented and was my favorite contestant. He has a beautiful voice and I will be praying for him that he gets discovered and proves to be great country music star one day.

Keep coming back to hear Colby sing. Such a heart warming segment and I loved the part about the boots. Especially the moonwalk and when he threw them in the air to embrace Dad. Very generous and kind hearted of Luke who obviously knows what it feels like to have holes in your soles. Colby has a very strong voice, on pitch and expressive. Loved it.
This is why country is so damn good. We look out for one and other. Amen and God bless you guys. Way to be a leader Luke!

I'm Hispanic and I loved his spanish. He stole my heart and his voice is everything. He is amazing
His reaction to getting a standing ovation was everything! Probably came up as a kid where praise was hard to come by because expectations were set so high.. Im sure his Dad gave him all the love in the world, probably means more to his dad than he will ever know.. but in country town USA its not common to hear a lot of thankyous or ataboys, but that doesn't mean they weren't there. Im not saying he didn't receive them but just his demeanor says that he probably hasn't felt that before to many times in his life. The boots from LB were amazing and I love this panel! LB, KP and LR are the best 3 judges ever in my opinion... they have a true feeling for young musicians and can appreciate how much positive words mean to some of these people.. and the chemistry between LB and KP is unmistakable. Say what you want about LB not being "Old School Country" but he is an old soul that knows the heartbeat of the slow life in the country! Love this video! Colby Swift has an amazing voice, story and you can tell he was raised well!

Being from Kentucky I respect Luke so much for giving him those boots, really moved me to tears! Because even my boyfriend wears his boots out. These men work hard! My boyfriend raises cattle and does other physical laborious activity and sometimes boots wear out especially when you’re working. Thanks for that kind act!!

Colby when I was growing up my Mom had a blue Freddy Fender 8 track tape that she played all the time. I have not heard that in about 35 yrs. You did a very good Freddy and made me go back in time. Thank you for that.
Colby gives me goosebumps and tears in my eyes! That voice! When he song the spanish part without the guitar, that was insane. They did the right thing to isolate his voice like that, he's great with a guitar backing but his voice alone is just insanity.
On top of that he's just a genuinely loveable guy. Unashamedly himself.
I thought Colby Swift had a great country voice. Who suggested he sing 'Grenade'? That's about as fast from country as possible. His rendention of 'Before the Next Teardrop Falls' was beautiful. The girls were enjoying his singing. Hopefully, someone in country music will help this young man. He reminded me of a young Randy Travis, voice wise.
I noticed his first audition as well that he sounds like a young Randy Travis!!
Some of those coaches seemed a bit harsh, but this is a good training ground for the music biz....not everything is gonna go a performers way all the time, they will have to deal with people who are rude and condescending....its life in the big leagues
