Answered prayers. When I saw them in 86 I could tell something was just not quite right. I was so happy about the reunion I jumped when I heard the news and bumped my head on the ceiling!
Can you believe that its been 20 years since Steve went forward, June 10th was the day, if only I had discovered him sooner, i love him SO much!!! (burying my head) God bless you and his family always!!! Holly in East Tennessee
Apparently someone put it in their heads that they needed to be contemporary in their look and sound and WLG wanted them to remain country. They don't really talk about the firing these days, but when it happened they tried to make WLG out to be the bad guy. I'm glad they got back together, especially since now Joe is gone.
You're welcome! I do have some shows on vhs, the ones I have you may already have recorded, you have an AWSOME collection! I have managed to find all there program books on ebay if that was what you are referring to. Thanks so much for uploading this videos, i'm looking forward to more!
I might be in the minority here, but I do not give a flying flip. This clip only makes me love my late beautiful precious Steve Sanders even more.....and hope that his memory has haunted the remaining members of this group ever since his going forward. God bless you and his family always!!! Holly in East Tennessee P.S. Oh and blowing out his candle will NEVER make any other ones shine brighter. Ever. (well aware of what the other members of the group eventually did)
@@monerz1Staler Brothers members included brothers Harold and Donald Reid. The Statlers retired in 2002. Harold Reid passed away in away in April of 2020. Alabama's group were compromised of Randy Owen, and cousins Teddy Gentry and Jeff Cook. The Gatlin Brothers trio are all brothers.
@@monerz1 That's the Statler Brothers you're referring to! The Oak Ridge Boys (to my knowledge) never have put out such a song. Two of them (the Statlers) were actual brothers (last name Reid). Don Reid (lead singer) is still alive, his older brother, Harold (bass singer of the group), died of kidney failure on April 24, 2020.
Thanks for the comment! I agree, when i found out William Lee came back I was very happy as well!!

Biggest mistake the other three made was pushing WLG out...
Well said agree
Yep, it only took THEM 9 years to realize it.

It's great they're back together. 2 of them are actual brothers.
The Statler Brothers had the two brothers. The Oak Ridge Boys are not related.
@@jerrscott6373 Oh, you're thinking of Alabama. A lot of people make that mistake.

@@jerrscott6373 The Oak Ridge Boys all live in Staunton, Virginia. Their biggest hit was, "Class of '57".
